Unforgettable ocean views, spectacular sunsets, 4 minute walks to reach the sand and beach trail which extends to the pier and all of the San Clemente coast. A rare and affordable find in SC. This unit sits on the bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Dana Point and the SC pier, and It has white-water views and the relaxing sound of the waves from the beach directly below. A spacious 2 BR, first floor apartment-the bathroom has a full tub/shower and dual sinks. Nicely appointed with all the furniture, fully equipped kitchen and all the amenities you'll need to enjoy your stay in this, laid back and iconic "Spanish Town" beach community. Sleeps 4 adults comfortably in the king and queen fully furnished bedrooms. Each BR has a stellar ocean views and waves that will lullaby you to sleep. Lots of storage in the spacious BR closets and hall cabinets. Additionally, the WIFI is optimized, so you can work during your stay. Unit has a small private balcony, 1 parking space in the covered/gated carport, a shared laundry room, plus a nicely furnished community patio with gas BBQ and spectacular ocean views and sunsets.

The nine unit building is located 1/8 mile north of the pier, about halfway between the Pier Bowl area and the Metro Link North Beach train station (By Maripose Ramp and Beach). Both the pier and the North train station are walking distance by way of San Clemente's beach walking trail. The train will take to to San Diego or to LA and beyond. You can easily walk to wonderful restaurants at the SC Pier, or catch the trolley, or walk downtown and stroll Del Mar Avenue. Plus, Dana Point Marina is very close, along with the SC Outlet Mall and movie theaters.

Just steps to 2 great surf spots - walk north 1 block then down the stairs to "204's" and further north is the "Portal" break or head over to the Pier or T Street. Plus there are several quality golf courses in town that are open to the public, and a gym close by that does not require a membership. You can even swim some laps at the SC Beach Club that is also within walking distance. You should also rent bikes, e-bike and/or golf carts to help you get around like the locals. If you are a walker, then this is the place...there are numerous places to walk that will fulfill all types of distance and endurance levels.

Perfect Ocean-View Stay in San Clemente!
One of our favorite stays in many years of travel! Thank you to our hosts Jim and Dianna and their absolutely wonderful tenants in this cozy residential complex who made our 8 day visit with family feel so comfortable and enjoyable! If you’re looking for a top-notch place where you still feel like you’re living like a local this is it! Fabulous furnishings, safe gated entry, friendly neighbors and their furry friends, superior cleanliness, amazing community park balcony with stunning full views of the ocean, easy access to walk to the beach, and most especially, two bedrooms where you can drift off to sleep at night in cozy beds listening to the sound of the waves! We enjoyed great restaurants up the road, walked down to the Pier and beach trail and enjoyed coffee, delicious breakfast burritos and waffles on a stick at the little cafe in the sand called West Toast at T Street. We loved every minute thanks to the whole bunch of you!

Wonderful Stay, 5 stars
This was our first visit to San Clemente and we really could not have found a better place to stay. The communication upon arrival was excellent, the home was perfect, well appointed, clean and thoughtful special touches. The property is in a great location with easy access to town and beach. We woke up to the sound of waves and saw beautiful sunsets from our window and the patio. We highly recommend this special property and the kind property owners. Thank you!

So relaxing and beautiful
We had a fantastic time. I can see why this property is so well-liked. The location with ocean views & sounds can’t be beaten; the space is adorable, spotless & so comfortable; the owners are attentive to details & easy to communicate with; and the surrounding neighbors are welcoming! We loved this experience thoroughly.

Incredible views from bedrooms and lower patio
I so enjoyed my 3+ weeks at Casa de Sophia! With a 180 degree view of the ocean from both bedrooms and lower patio. It's a short walk to the beach and the pier. Lovely vacation! So happy to have had the opportunity to stay at this property. The owners were very responsive to all inquiries. S. Yox

Perfect Getaway
Loved listening to the waves from every room! Spectacular view from the large shared balcony. We drove to a few beaches however mostly just walked to the beach, the pier and downtown shopping and restaurants. Casa Sophia was comfortable and clean with so many little convenient touches. (Extra toilet paper, tissues, shampoo, laundry soap, Q-tips, snacks, etc.) The beds and pillows were great and there was so much storage! Hosts were kind, responsive and checked in with us several times. Brandon, the on-site assistant manager was kind and helpful as well. Quiet peaceful complex - just what we were hoping for. I can’t say enough about this amazing vacation!!! I can’t wait to return!!

We have had this building in our family since the early 1960's. It was bought by our self-made immigrant grandmother. She barley speak English when she came to the US as with her mother and 3 children, escaping her country, because of poverty and starvation. Our family loves San Clemente and this place: Casa de Sophia, is a very special place and we wish to share a piece of it with guests.
