Get away from the hustle and bustle at Mollie's Town & Country. Nestled in the countryside just minutes from all the big city events. We have a cozy country home with four bedrooms, 3 baths and can sleep 9.
Kitchen is huge and will be your favorite room, we think you'll love it as much as we do. After a fun day on the town come back here to unwind by the fire pit or sit on any of our 3 patios while stargazing or watching pristine rural farm life pass by.

Definitely an old farmhouse feel. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the house and the quiet setting. The owner communicated well when we had questions prior to arriving and was able to provide a few things we knew we would need. We were disappointed to cut our stay short due to a snow storm, but we enjoyed the few days we had there. Being from out of state, we are always on the lookout for a VRBO that will allow our family that is local to the area to come and join us for a meal or two at the house we rent. After all, the whole reason we are visiting is to see them. But their homes will not fit all of us. Most VRBO rentals consider those meals to be "event" and therefore we have to be selective in where we stay. We appreciated that the location allowed for our family to come and eat meals with us. We also appreciated that with the dining table, taller kitchen table, and bar table/barstools, there was ample seating for the meals. We look forward to staying in future years.

Great large country home

House was perfect for our needs. Large and spacious.Country living and lifestyle 100%Only downside was AC upstairs, relies on a single supplemental unit. We were there on a very hot and humid weekend. Responsive host, the AC supplemental unit didn’t work upon arrival and they had a replacement within an hour. Unbelievable response!!

Great stay

We're truly glad we stayed here. The property was accurately described in the listing, very clean, the beds were comfortable and it was a great setting for family and friends to hang out, eat and relax. The host was great with communication. We'd definitely stay here again.

Tulip festival

We stayed at the farm house during a visit to the Tulip Festival in Pella, IA. The house is very convenient to both Pella and Des Moines. The farm house was spacious enough for 6 adults and 2 teenagers. We had a bonfire with smore's. The setting is so relaxing we definitely would stay here again.

Excellent experience

This was our first time with VRBO and I was exceptionally pleased with the property and the owner. Communication was great, the owner left us a meat/cheese tray as a welcome gift and the house was clean and ready for my family. I can’t wait for the next opportunity to stay at this farmhouse. Nothing but perfection.

Great Thanksgiving trip!

This was the perfect setting to spend a couple of days with our own kids prior to hosting 21 for Thanksgiving on Friday. Our hostess, Mollie, was fantastic. She helped provide extra tables and chairs, and she brought a few extra things over to the kitchen in an effort to make sure we had as much as we needed to prepare our big Thanksgiving feast. We enjoyed the rural community and the livestock on the farm. Was also a beautiful setting to get some good pictures. Overall, 10 out of 10. Hope to be back again.

Beautiful country feel

The house and property were amazing. We needed a slight adjustment to check in time and the owner was amazing to work with. We even had a neat and cheese tray waiting in the fridge for us!! Highly recommend if looking for lodging in the area!

Spacious farmhouse with firepot

The property is really sweet and like a trip back in time to an Iowa farmhouse. The cows, bull and Alpaca were such a treat for a group of city folks. The location was perfect for the Iowa Motor Speedway too!

Perfect Country Setting for Family Getaway’s

Our family loved staying at the farmhouse. There was plenty of room to spread out. Loved the large kitchen and 3 full bathrooms. The cattle was a hit! Enjoyed a campfire, grilling and the hammock. Communication was great with the owner. The home was clean and tons of thoughtful amenities in the kitchen and throughout the home with games, puzzles, etc. We’d definitely recommend.

Cutest farmhouse in Colfax

We enjoyed our stay at Mollie’s farmhouse. The place was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family. We all had our own spaces in the house to sleep. Even though it was a hot weekend the house was nice and cool. We played games, watched a little tv, and had some good rest and relaxation. We really enjoyed the wildlife right out back. Had dinner at the local pizza place. It was yummy! If we ever make it back here we’ll definitely stay here again.

Des Moines Jr Olympics

From start to finish, Mollie was available, answered all texts, and made our stay as pleasant as possible. If you’re looking for a quiet, secluded, not too far from the city, clean, spacious home, this is your go to! The charming neighborhood, nestled in the Iowa countryside side , was a delightful escape from the city life of Dallas, Texas. We had a family of 4 adults and a teenager and all had their own personal rooms with 3 personal bathrooms. We also had our dogs with us which also had plenty of space in the home . We were greeted every morning with cows in the property behind the backyard! There is a great running trail as well as a golf course if you like golf. The presence of a brand new track at the new high school was a godsend for my son giving him the perfect place to warm up and stay active during the jr Olympics track. Overall, our stay at this Vrbo was a delight. The combination of it’s convenient location, spaciousness, and the serene neighborhood made it an ideal getaway. We definitely recommend it enough to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the beautiful Iowa countryside.

Super Dog-Friendly Farmhouse

We needed a place to stay with our arthritic, senior dog while visiting family in Grinnell. RAGBRAI had most options booked up. We were lucky to find this new listing in Colfax, a short half hour away. Mollie was a gracious host and the property suited our needs. We didn't spend much time upstairs, but we all loved the first-floor conveniences and occasional visits from the cows at the edge of the property. Thank you, Mollie!
