Swept Away - Erie, PA

Get Swept Away in this beautiful Lakeside ranch retreat on 80’ cliff above Lake Erie! Plenty of room to relax with the family or group of friends. Large, well-stocked kitchen with special edition keurig, k-pod coffee selection and teas. Seating for 9 in kitchen or move to the dining room for 8. Then move to the sunroom or deck to take in the “3rd Best Sunsets in the World”! The large living room has extra large sectional to cuddle up and watch 65” tv or crash on the cali-king sofa/bed. Two spacious full bathrooms shared between all 3 bedrooms.

CAUTION: Home sits above 80’ cliff with no railing or barrier. Children should not be left attended in backyard.

Lakeside Drive is located in a quiet neighborhood in the City of Erie. Our neighborhood beach at Chautauqua Park and Beach is just a few blocks away (see listing photos). It is 5 min from downtown and the Bayfront Convention Center. Located just across the water from Presque Isle State Park and Waldameer, it is 15 min by car.

MAX GUESTS 10: Must count all visitors to the property at the time of booking. No additional visitors, or special events allowed. Hosts and staff live nearby.

Please respect the neighborhood and practice quiet time beginning at 10 pm. No smoking, vaping, pets or illegal activity.

We had a great stay! The place was very clean and exactly as described. The views were beautiful, and the location was peaceful. The host was kind, responsive, and made everything easy from start to finish. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely Perfect!

We rented this beautiful home for an impromptu weekend trip to celebrate our daughter’s 13th birthday with a few of her friends. It could not have been more perfect. The house was comfortable and so so clean. The view is absolutely stunning. But the best part was the wonderful owner! Communication was great and she went completely above and beyond to make sure that we had a wonderful stay and a memorable experience. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back!!

Swept Away Thanksgiving SNOW 2024

Where do I begin. The house is gorgeous well maintained and while I never met them personally Janelle was an amazing host. Very quick to respond and very helpful with all our questions. Erie experienced some major snow fall and the plows couldn’t get to the streets. But Janelle’s husband plowed the street to get us out! If you need a home in Erie I would definitely book this home. And the views of the lake drinking coffee were so relaxing

Family Celebration with Scenic Views and Exceptional Hospitality

Our weekend stay at Swept Away in Erie to celebrate my mom's birthday exceeded all expectations. Janelle was an outstanding host, ensuring every need was met in the beautifully decorated and spotless home. The views were breathtaking from nearly every corner, both inside and out. This is by far the best rental in Erie. The view of Presque Isle is immaculate. The house is spacious, very clean and has all the amenities.

This home was spacious enough for the 9 of us and had the most breathtaking sunsets I’ve ever seen! We were close to the casino, zoo and beach which was very convenient for the family. Would definitely stay again!

A wonderful experience at Swept Away!

A wonderful weekend experience! There was great communication before check-in. There was lots of space in the house for our large family and there were beautiful views! The house had all the supplies we needed. The only thing we had difficulty with was the thermostat - we could not consistently get the house cool enough (for example, we woke up one morning and the thermostat temperature was set at 78 degrees.) Maybe this is programmed, but we often tried to turn down the thermostat to cool the house more. But this was a great house and we would definitely like to return again.

Comfortable home with magnificent view!

This was a girls' trip to relax and hang out with friends of over 40 years! The house was a beautiful and clean, with room for 10 people. You could enjoy the spectacular sunset on the porch or deck.

Had parking for 2 trailered bass boats and rigs. Great views. If its a guys trip sleeps 4 without bunking together or using the pull out couch. Great place to stay. Host was very responsive.

Beautiful Views

This house is just as advertised. The views of Lake Erie from any place in the house are beautiful. The host provides over and above what you could want and even allowed us an early entry. Close to anything you want to do. We have stayed in alot of vacation homes and this was by far the nicest.

Great House, Beautiful View

This house was perfect for our stay in Erie. Gathering for my parent's memorial service, we needed multiple houses in Erie to help accommodate our family and Janelle's properties were ideal. Not only was this house located with a beautiful view of Lake Erie, but it had an open floor plan that was perfect for our traveling guests. Janelle is a gracious host who always responded quickly to any questions or request. I highly recommend this property and will reach out to Janelle again the next time we visit the Erie area.
