Welcome to Gulf Tides 716A, an inviting efficiency studio in Top of the Gulf Resort, where comfort meets convenience right on the beach. This updated, clean, and cheerful retreat offers everything you need for an effortless getaway on Panama City Beach’s scenic east end.

Step outside your door and you’re just moments from the resort’s beachfront pool, kiddie pool, BBQ grilling area, and private beach access. Guests can enjoy Gulf breezes and colorful sunsets from any of the resort’s 16 furnished common balconies—perfect lookout spots for photo-worthy evenings.

Parking:

Top of the Gulf requires all guests to register upon arrival. A $30 registration fee (cash only) must be paid at the 1st-floor office (9am–5pm) or to security during high season (4pm–midnight). For extended stays, this fee must be renewed every 30 days.

At registration, guests will receive community rules, instructions, and (if applicable) one parking pass. Parking is in the outdoor lot directly in front of the building, and the pass must remain visible on your dashboard at all times.

Overflow parking is limited. If the front lot is full, there is a paid public lot less than one mile away, across from Ripley’s Museum ($12/day). To use this lot, download the PASSPORT Parking App and add your vehicle and payment info. An ATM is available in the lobby for convenience.

About the Community/Property:

Welcome to Top of the Gulf, where your stay begins right on the beach! This family-friendly resort sits on the quieter east end of Panama City Beach along South Thomas Drive—steps from the sand, near Pineapple Willy’s Restaurant, and just a short walk to on-beach jet-ski rentals. Guests enjoy the ease of parking directly in front of the building and quick access to all resort amenities.

This eight-story, mid-rise complex features a Gulf-front swimming pool with an ice and filtered-water station, a kiddie pool and kids’ beach-toy box, outdoor showers, and sixteen furnished common balconies overlooking the Gulf—perfect for sunset views. Additional amenities include a fitness center (3rd floor), game room (6th floor), barbecue and picnic areas, a seasonal poolside snack bar, gift shop, ATM, and coin-operated laundry facilities (2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th floors). Pools are unheated.

Located minutes from the area’s best attractions, Top of the Gulf offers convenient access to signature golf courses, deep-sea fishing charters, water and amusement parks, miniature golf, nightlife, and shopping. Major retailers and grocery stores are within a 5- to 10-minute drive, making this resort as practical as it is picturesque.

Other details to note:

All guests must register with the front desk upon arrival and pay the required $30 cash registration fee (ATM available in lobby).

Wristbands must be worn at all times on property; lost bands incur a $30 replacement fee.

Pool hours are 8am to 11pm. No glass in pool or deck areas. Infants must wear swim-diapers.

Trash chutes are located just past each elevator.

Laundry rooms are located on the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th floors. Rinse sand before washing; do not leave trash—$100 HOA fine for violations caught on camera.

Game room is located on the 6th floor. No food or drink; minors must be accompanied by an adult (18+).

Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. No skateboards, rental scooters, or golf carts on property.

Upon booking, you’ll receive timely communications about your trip. Access to your professionally cleaned and sanitized home is also convenient with our custom keyless locks. And, if you need anything before, during or after your stay, our local team is ready to help!

Please be aware that there will be NO refunds for Wi-Fi issues as it’s not guaranteed. If reliable Wi-Fi is a must, you are welcome to bring your own internet hotspot.

Non-negotiable rules: No Smoking or Vaping, No Events or Parties, No Firearms. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am (unless posted signage indicates otherwise).
