This gorgeous home is tucked away in the wilderness on 7.27 acres, with breathtaking views of South Dakota’s Black Hills. Offering a retreat for a large group of family and friends and the comforts of home to enjoy after visiting major area attractions! 4380sq.ft. of living space, with 5 bedrooms and 3 Full Bathrooms, tons of natural sunlight throughout. The main floor features a large 2-storey open living room with a beautiful stone fireplace, a dining room with a table that seats 6, 2 bedrooms and a spacious laundry room. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink, dishwasher, large center island, drip coffeemaker, a breakfast nook with a table that seats 4 and fully equipped with everything you need. The loft features a unique Master suite, with office space, separate lavatories, walk-in closets, & private deck. The walkout basement is fully finished with adequate sunshine, a queen bedroom, loft twin beds, full bathroom and a great entertainment space with a flat screen TV. Large decks on every level showcase stunning panoramic views of the hills, pine forest and wildlife and feature an outdoor dining space and hot-tub, adjacent to a three-season-room. Not a detail was spared.

Location:

Peaceful Pines is located only 10 minutes from Pactola Lakeless, with Forest Service nearby and less than 12 miles from town which features numerous art galleries, 70 shops and boutiques, 33 restaurants, the City of President statues and great entertainment from music to theatre, a place to make fun-filled memories all year round. During the summer the square comes alive with the dancing waters of interactive fountains. In the winter months, the square transforms into a lively ice skating rink with rentals available on site. Rapid City is known as The City of Presidents, with hundreds of tourist attractions nearby including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devils Tower, Historic Lead/Deadwood, and the World famous Sturgis Bike Rally.

Wow! What a location!
This VRBO is located in such an amazing area! Every day we watched 5-75 deer wander through the property and nearby areas. Location is close enough to the touristy type things we didnt have to drive far to get to anything. The house is well stocked with anything you'd need for a short stay. The hot tub was AMAZING! We enjoyed animal and star watching from the hot tub daily. There was a few things that were aggravating. I contacted the host before I booked to check and be sure the heat and hot tub were working since previous reviews were somewhat concerning. I was assured that these items were fixed and I booked right away. Once in the home the heat was not fixed. We notified the host who told us daily that someone was coming to fix it. This was never fixed however we did find a work around by turning the heat on the first floor higher then we would have liked. The hot tub did work but wasn't the easiest to operate. There were many lights that either were burnt out or not working for whatever reason. We were excited to find a nice ping pong table in the basement however the paddles were either broken or in poor repair. The garbage was very full we weren't able to fit our garbage in the outside cans. With the bad things being said the host did get back to me right away but nothing was fixed. But honestly dispite the couple negative things this house and this location is amazing and we'd stay there again.

Not living up to it’s potential!
One of the 2 furnaces did not work and reached out to Property mgr, response received stating they would come the next morning but never did. As a result 1/2 the house was 85 degrees and the other 1/2 55 degrees. Past reviews stated hot tub was broken. I called right before our stay to ensure it was working but upon our arrival it was only 75 degrees and would not warm up. Master bedroom was advertised as a King bed, but it was only a King. Coffee pot was not working. Several light bulbs were burnt out in the lower level. Attempted to share concerns during and prior to making this review and we were ghosted. Super disappointed. This property has great potential but did not live up to what was advertised and what we paid for our stay.

Clenliness issue
The house itself was nice, however there were several cleanliness issues. The garbage was overflowing in the cans outside and smelled terrible. The house has a fly infestation and there were at least a hundred dead and live flies inside. The floors were not swept well and the carpets weren't vacuumed. The only other odd thing is that there is no TV in a common area so my friend and i had to sit in a bedroom together to watch anything. I would be hesitant to rent through Erorentals again because of this stay
