Enjoy the echoing of bellbirds with views from your window, where you can spot horses, sheep, and a variety of wildlife including white & black cockatoos, rosellas, lorikeets, galahs, ducks and the occasional wallaby. Take a break from the stress and strain of everyday life and enjoy some much-needed downtime at Dora Creek Cottage. Experience some of nature’s beauty with the picturesque surroundings, and find inner peace with the calming atmosphere. A 10 minute drive is the State Forest and endless Watagan Mountains where you'll find trails, waterfalls, lookouts, picnic spots, mountain bike, motorbike, horseride; Across the road is Dora Creek leading to Lake Macquarie, Australia's largest coastal saltwater lake with an abundance of watersports, fishing, tours, dining, walks, arts & history; the Hunter Valley Vineyards is an easy 30 minute drive. Originally from Sydney but escaped the hustle and bustle to our semi rural lakeside retreat. We love Lake Macquarie and we want to share it with you. From the mountains to the sea our region is truly magnificent. The largest salt water lake, an abundance of Australian native animals, best beaches in the world, cafes, restaurants, shopping, vineyards, something for everyone....... all at our doorstop.
