The place was great. Location was awesome , we were right in the middle of the French quarter. Restaurants, the city market and the battery all within easy walking distance. The townhome was clean and well equipped. Loved the private outdoor area. Coffee there every morning. Highly recommended.

This place is perfect. It’s in the most prime location at the city center, making everything walkable, yet is still slightly tucked away so you don’t get any of the street noise. The house is beautiful and immaculate. Two bedrooms upstairs with comfortable beds and their own bathrooms. The downstairs has a lovely living room with a large tv and lots of seating. Full dining room and kitchen with everything you need if you want to cook - however I’d recommend taking advantage of the million incredible restaurants Charleston has to offer.

A Charleston Dream

We chose this place bc of the pics and location. It was just as we had hoped. Central to downtown Charleston, close to lots to landmarks, the harbor, the market, King street, all within walking distance. The house was perfect sized, clean, comfortable, it felt like home! We enjoyed all aspects of our trip, and this house was central to the enjoyment of our stay! I would Absolutely recommend this place to our friends and family!

A Relaxing Gem in French Quarter

We couldn’t have asked for a better location within walking distance of many historic sites, great restaurants, and pleasant shopping. The townhouse was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful amenities. Would definitely return.

Ultimate Charleston experience

Huntley Lodge was perfect for two couples. Located just off East Bay St so everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. So fun staying in a historic apartment yet with fully updated bathrooms and kitchen.

Perfect location and beautiful home

This home is perfectly situated in the French Quarter. Easy walk to the water and historical sites. The house is a great combination of old world wood floors and modern conveniences. Pam is great to work with, and we would definitely stay here again. This was a wonderful family vacation made even more special by this house.

I can not rave enough about this property! You are in the heart of the historical French quarters of Charleston. Within walking distance to several restaurants, bars and even an outdoor market. The house its self was beautiful and clean! We were worried that our teething infant would be trouble to the neighbors but they admitted after some friendly chatting that they heard nothing!! We felt very comfortable and that there was plenty of space for all three of us (and Grandma when she came to babysit). Pam was an exceptional host allowing me and the baby in a little early, and after traveling overnight for over 14 hours we needed it! When I mentioned we couldn’t located the dishwasher pods, she called immediately on a Sunday to say she had a different cleaning crew and would bring some by the following morning. We could not have been more impressed, comfortable and truly blessed to have a beautiful space in an amazing location! I highly recommend staying here and enjoying the luxury and beauty of old Charleston!

Just Because We Like Charleston

Southern charm and great location

This lovely apartment is just as described in the listing. We really enjoyed our stay and having the parking pass was very helpful because the streets are narrow and parking is very limited. The television was really large and had all the options, which we enjoyed after a long day of touring. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

So charming!

This property was perfect for our stay in Charleston. The location could not have been better - we were able to walk to everything - and the home itself was simply charming. The scent of magnolia and honeysuckle through the balcony double doors in the master bedroom with a four-poster bed was the icing on the cake. The space was well appointed and immaculate. We would love to spend time here again.

Perfect Location, Lovely Place

Absolutely loved this place. Beautifully renovated and furnished. We used the kitchen every morning and it had just what we needed. The location was about as perfect as can be, in the middle of everything but tucked away so private and quiet. We had wonderful food everywhere, took two tours, loved the African American museum, loved just walking about. Came home and had drinks in our private courtyard, talked about our day. Beds were super comfy, everything spotlessly clean. Loved it all!

32nd Anniversary Getaway

A seamless trip! A quick flight from DC. A quick drive to this lovely townhome tucked away in this quaint courtyard. Very charming and welcoming. Clean and airy. Nicely decorated and the beds were dreamy! In walking distance to just about everything. An easy Uber ride to Sullivan’s Island. I would highly recommend this rental and look forward to staying again.

Like the others have said.... location location location. Perfect spot in the French Quarter. Everything to see, do, eat is within walking distance! The pictures are exactly how the unit shows in person. Super easy parking if you bring a car too. Comfy beds, cozy living areas....Charleston charm with the modern touch. Cannot say enough great things about our whole experience during our time at Huntley Lodge!

Perfect stay!

My husband needed to be in Charleston for a business meeting. A friend and colleague was attending the same course. We wanted a house to share so that we could better enjoy our time together. This was the perfect place. It has 2 bedrooms with in suite baths upstairs, with and extra 1/2 bath downstairs. This arrangement is so nice when you want equal accommodations for both parties splitting the cost. The place is totally updated with quartz countertops and all new plumbing fixtures. The paint seems fresh as well. The location couldn’t be better. I don’t attend the guys meeting, so I love to walk, shop and sight see. This place is in the heart of the city. There are premium restaurants around every corner. We never needed a driver. And, it was safe to walk even after dark. I will try to stay here again if we return to Charleston.

Sonny and Dean Huntley , originally along with Sonny's sister Beth , purchased 'Huntley Lodge' because they love downtown Charleston . The native South Carolinians have visited the area all of their lives and decided to get a piece of history for themselves. They wanted a place to visit with friends and family while having some income to offset the costs. It has worked very well, except they cannot spend nearly as much time there as they would like! Even though Sonny and Dean live in Hilton Head , visiting the property has been limited. They hope to change this in the future and gather for the many fun and interesting things the 'Holy City ' has to offer!

There is a limited amount of property like 'Huntley Lodge' in the historic French Quarter area of downtown Charleston, and we found this opportunity irresistible. The location is second to none...you can park your car and never get back in it if shopping in a multitude of stores and dining in first class restaurants is your goal. The ambiance and history is palpable !

You can enjoy a vast array of art galleries, antique shops and historic venues within a few minutes of your private , gated courtyard and the luxury of the townhome itself is evident from the moment you step inside. There are no less than 50 quality restaurants within a one to 10 minute stroll from your Huntley Lodge front door.
