Cozy Riverside Cabin in Blue Ridge Mountains

Pine Needles Cabin is a classic riverside log cabin located between Boone and Blowing Rock. A short six minute drive will take you to Downtown Blowing Rock where you will find local dining and shopping, in addition to the community park. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway, about five minutes from the cabin, for scenic overlooks and numerous hiking trails. Nestled in the mountains, this modern cabin seamlessly combines comfort and style. A striking stone fireplace anchors the living area, surrounded by inviting leather furniture. Large windows offer sweeping mountain views, blurring the lines between indoors and nature. Modern design touches, from the well-appointed kitchen to tasteful decor, create a cozy yet refined atmosphere.

We recommend snow chains and AWD/4WD during the winter in the High Country in case of inclement weather.

The property is located in the mountains, please be aware there may be wildlife in the area.

Fabulous setting with accessible creek 20 feet from the front door. Great location to travel to Blowing Rock or Boone, and from where to do day trips to other mountain attractions. It was rainy most of the time we were there, but the living room fireplace made hunkering down a little more cozy. Recommended.

The check in was super easy. The cabin comfortable. The kitchen is ok, but somewhat sparse. Just needs a few more dishes, glasses and silverware. The river is right in the front yard and beautiful. Many fun choices for seating and enjoying the river and the outdoors, swings, rockers and chairs. The location is perfect, easy to head to Blowing Rock or Boone.

Daughter's 17th Birthday Weekend Trip

We had a wonderful time staying here for a birthday weekend in Blowing Rock. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The location was excellent! Just minutes away from everything we needed or wanted to visit nearby. We will definitely stay again.

Great short visit

Great place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy cabin! It was the perfect place for a family getaway. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The spacious living area made it easy for us to relax together, and the kitchen was great for cooking meals after a day out. One of the biggest highlights was its location – just a short drive to Appalachian Ski Mountain, which made hitting the slopes so convenient. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, or just enjoying the scenery, this cabin offers a great base for all your adventures. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Very Nice Cabin

Very nice in the woods type cabin on a nice stream. Cabin was very clean with nice amenities. Got a chance to sit outside by the common area fire pit and enjoy the unseasonal warm weather. Nice new very clean hot tub in place, maybe next time we will use it. Lots of bedding and heaters, beds were good. Good check in and internet. Thank you!

Perfect Spot for our Tweetsie Adventure

Me, my husband and my mom brought our two year old to the mountains for his birthday. We drove up from Charlotte, went to Tweetsie Railroad and then stayed at the Pine Needle Cabin for one night. The cabin was a perfect size for us and not too far up a mountain - no dizzying mountain roads. We played in the river, skipping rocks and enjoyed the porch swing once our toddler went to bed. There was AC and heaters, depending on the time of year you go. Full kitchen, with coffee! We would stay here again!

We checked out early because property had a smell, interior old, bed linens not clean. Certainly no value in the cost we paid. Would not recommend to anyone at this time. Communication was spotty with property manager. I went a few months without hearing an answer to my message.

Overall a pleasant experience. Cabin was roomy and tidy including the sheets/bedding and towels were all fresh and clean, all surfaces were spotless. Some furniture well worn; kitchen chair was broken. TV remote not working; required making manual changes accessed on back of TV. Suggesting a seasonal deep cleaning as cobwebs in kitchen where wall and ceiling meet.

Don’t rent until you KNOW it’s been gutted, sanitized & re-carpeted.

REEKED of urine! In poor repair. Feces in the kitchen & eating area. Pet stains on the carpets. Couch was ripped, the lamp was hanging on the metal spokes, doors did not fasten, there was a TERRIBLE odor that could not be removed even after the nice cleaning staff came back. They were nice. Felt bad for them. The cabin was difficult to find. We have asked for a full refund. Very disappointed. We were stuck there with nowhere else to go. Didn’t even want to cook there.

The cabin is just as cozy as the photos. The fireplace worked great and the house was spotless. It was tucked into the woods next to a stream and was very private. Blowing Rock was a beautiful city with lots to do and great restaurants. We will definitely come again. A real find

A great weekend getaway!

Perfect, convenient location to anything you need! We went to Tweetsie one day and played in the creek the next! The hot tub was wonderful to warm us up after creek hopping. The cabin itself was quaint. Really everything we needed for a few days. Beds were comfy! The cleanliness was a little less than expected and there were a few obvious repairs that needed to be made. Window units were in pretty bad shape and needed cleaning. We struggled the most with communication with host. Other reviews expressed great communication and we just did not get it for our short stay. Thankfully, we didn’t need much! Overall, we’d come back due to the beautiful location and convenience to things we love!

Rustic getaway

Lovely Mountain Weekend

My friends and I had so much fun staying here! After our hike we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful river and surrounding area. We loved the cozy indoor fireplace.Thanks for a lovely stay!

The coziest cabin!

We really appreciated all of the extra touches! Lots of bath towels, shampoo, conditioner & body wash in the shower, extra blankets & pillows! Everything you need in the kitchen! It was clean & comfortable. Ziggy is a top notch business owner & catered to our needs! We will be returning !
