Scandinavian inspired home located on the American Birkebeiner Trail

New home with modern amenities located on the American Birkebeiner trail. Come enjoy your stay in our cozy, luxurious getaway and take advantage of the many outdoor activities available in the northwoods! Our home features 4 bedrooms, three with en-suite bathroom, two built-in twin bunk beds in bedroom 4 (bunk room), well-stocked chef's kitchen, radiant floor heat, 10' ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing a massive amount of natural daylight. Wood burning cast-iron stove in the living room provides a warm glow on a cold winter's evening, after a day on the trails. The large screen porch located at the back of our home includes a wood burning fireplace, with comfortable seating and a 65" TV mounted above the mantle. Vinyl windows allow guests to keep the weather out during the cold season.

With the Birkie trail right out our back door, guests have direct access to miles of trails for cross country skiing, mountain biking (including single track), snowshoeing and hiking. The snowmobile/ATV trails are also just a short 1/4 mile ride up the road. For guests interested in snowshoeing, we have 4 pairs of snowshoes in the front closet for your complimentary use. Please note that snowshoes are not permitted on the Birkie trail, however you may snowshoe on the edge of the Birkie trail for a short distance from our house where you can then connect to the single track trails, offering miles of snowshoe adventure. For cross country skiers, we also have a wax room located in our garage for guest use.
