The crisp scent of pine fills the air as you step onto the deck, where mountain views stretch across the Fraser River and the forest beyond. After a day of skiing or hiking, you can ease into the rooftop hot tub, the stars glinting above the peaks, or settle by the firepit with a warm drink in hand. Each moment invites you to unwind, recharge, and savor the stillness of Winter Park.

Outdoor living
The rooftop deck is the highlight of the home, offering a private hot tub, firepit, and bar where you can relax under open skies. A glass door sauna sits nearby, letting you take in views of the Fraser River, National Forest, and the Continental Divide as you soak up the heat. On the main-level deck, a built-in gas grill and dining table provide an easy transition from kitchen to open air.

Interior comforts
Inside, the open-concept layout connects a chef’s kitchen, dining area, and living room. The kitchen features Jenn-Aire appliances and island seating, while the gas fireplace adds warmth and atmosphere. Large windows frame forest and river views, filling the space with natural light. Downstairs, the “Rock Star Bunk Room” offers two twin bunks, two twin trundles, a full bathroom, Smart TV, and a Nintendo 64 for timeless gaming sessions.

Sleeping arrangements
On the top floor, the “Fresh Corduroy King Room” includes an ensuite bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in shower. Two additional bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen, share a Jack & Jill bathroom, perfect for families or groups traveling together. Every bedroom includes a Smart TV and reading lights, and a full-size washer and dryer are conveniently located on this level.

Convenience and connection
The chalet includes a private ski locker at the base of Winter Park Resort, making mornings on the slopes effortless. It’s a short walk to the free ski shuttle, trails, and the shops and restaurants of downtown Winter Park. The property is part of the scenic ROAM neighborhood, offering easy access while maintaining the calm of the surrounding forest.

Great Experience

We had a great time staying here! The space is great for a family and the view is amazing. We woke up to three moose in the back one morning. It’s in the perfect location in Winter Park, so you’re close to a lot. We would definitely come back!

Amazing views & location

Such a beautiful home and space to enjoy the mountains with family and friends. So accessible to everything and you can even walk or take the bus to the ski resort. Love all the different views and spaces you can enjoy! Highly recommend!

Perfect for Friends Gathering

Great place to spend time with friends and family! Plenty of room for everyone and they had items that we didn't even think of. Hosts were very responsive. A short drive to the slopes and easy walk to restaurants, shopping and shuttles. Very pet friendly. We are already planning our next trip!

Great Getaway

Our time at the Rock and Stars Chalet was fantastic! place was clean, had enough space for us to have some downtime, as well as enough common space for board games etc. Location was fantastic! Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. All of the details were covered here. Great time to rest and relax. Loved our family vacation. Would definitely book again!

Wonderful house! Snowshoed out the back

The house was really cool, modern, great art work. Wonderful views! Great location, close to main street and 6 mins to WP resort. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Huge kitchen with everything you needed. We snowshoed right out the back door, it was amazing! The hot tub on the roof was wonderful to sit in after a day of skiing. Was great to have a car charger! Would stay again.

The best!

This is one of the best homes to stay in within Winter Park. The house has everything and more. We looked through all the reviews and the location is great. It is located within the town of winter park and has easy access to the ski resort. Staying at the resort itself can be a bit boring which is why we wanted to be in this location that really has it all. The home is very elegant and very roomy. My wife and children had an amazing time and will be baking back.

Rock star place

The Rock star house is beautiful. The morning views overlooking the creek and the mountains are amazing. You are a close walk to downtown WP. Morning coffee runs. The hot tub has amazing views of the stars. We saw several shooting stars in the evening. It’s a true Colorado experience.

Perfect gathering house for groups + dogs

This house has it all! We were a group of 11 w/ 3 families plus our dog and had plenty of beds for all. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, playing games and cooking all our meals at the house. The kitchen was fully stocked and the warm beverage bar was awesome! Highly recommend this house for multi-family gatherings. The location is super convenient. It's a short walk to all the shops, restaurants, & ski shuttle. We walked our dog a beautiful trail right behind the house in the national forest. We will definitely be back!

Spectacular!

Our stay was fabulous! This property has all of the high-end touches - heated floors, extensive array of appliances, tea & coffee, snacks, full cookware, marvelous windows & light, storage locker & Winter Park, comfortable furniture and beds. The shuttle was an easy 2 minute walk away. Our (adult) group had fun with the gaming console in the kids' room. We are already planning to make this an annual trip! Communication with the host team was quick and helpful.

Rock & Stars Chalet has it all!

This chalet has everything you could want for a ski getaway. The location couldn’t get any better!! It is a super close drive to Winter Park Ski Resort base, easy walking distance to the bus line that will take you to the mountain or through town & easy walking or driving to restaurants & shops. The unit is very spacious with beautiful decor & beds to very comfortably fit 12. Perfect for 2 or 3 families. The roof top hot tub looking out at the mountain is awesome for star gazing or recovering from a day on the mountain. Highly recommend! Will be back for sure!

Perfect family gathering house!

The Rock & Stars Chalet was the perfect house for our family to gather, reconnect, play games, and make memories. We were a group of 9 and there was more than enough space for our family and pup. We cooked all of our meals at the house and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. It was so nice to be able to unwind in the private hot tub under the stars after a day on the slopes. We also loved the convenience of being able to leave our gear in the ski locker at the Winter Park base. Highly recommend this house - it is welcoming, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!

Family relaxation at its best!

This place was a perfect house for our family to get together with friends. It is ideally located right in downtown Winter Park so we could easily walk to the restaurants to grab food in the evenings. It’s also very easy to get to Winter Park to ski. One of the best bonuses of this house was the included ski locker at the base of Winter Park that allowed us to keep all of our gear there in the evening so we did not have to carry it back-and-forth. The host has thought about every detail for this home, and it felt very comfortable. The kitchen was setup perfectly and made doing meals as a group a breeze. Anytime we come back to winter park will be looking to rebook this house!

Amazing retreat!

Beautiful, large home! We’ve stayed at several rentals in the areas and this one was far superior ! Plenty of space for 2 families to share or a larger/extended family. The owners have thought of everything… from kitchen appliances (air fryer, crockpot, etc) to beautiful decor, great board games and local art…. This gorgeous property has it all and made for an amazing vacation for our extended family. The free city bus picks up and drops off a two minute walk from the property making transport to/from Winter Park Resort super easy. We loved the included ski locker at the resort —- who wants to haul ski boots and equipment every day? Several super cute and yummy restaurants and even a brewery in walking distance. We hope to be back soon!

Amazing stay with MAXIMUM WOW factor!

Honestly, I don't know where to start with this review - Rock and Stars Chalet is simply AMAZING. I have never stayed in a vacation rental like this where every detail has been meticulously planned and executed. Absolutely everything has been thought of and the finishing touches of BEAUTIFUL prints of Colorado scenes by local artists makes this an unforgettable Colorado experience. It's a brand-new build and you feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door. There are spectacular views from every direction, and the roof top spa overlooking the mountains makes this a perfect place for apres-ski! It's super convenient to get to the ski runs and local restaurants / shops. Kudos to the owners for creating something really special that people will want to return to again and again. We will be back!

Ideal Winter Park House

Rock and Stars is amazing, we had such a great time staying there! It is a newly built house with beautiful luxury finishes decorated tastefully with fun art and mountain photography. It has plenty of space for multiple families and thoughtful touches throughout that seemed to anticipate our every need. We started our day with a cup of coffee enjoying the beautiful views of the hills and a stream behind the house, then hit the slopes. The chalet is just a few minutes from Winter Park's free parking lot or a short walk to the free ski shuttle so it was really easy to get to the mountain. Rock and Stars comes with a free guest locker at the base so we didn't have to lug our skis and boots back and forth each day. After skiing we watched the sunset over the mountains from the rooftop hot tub and took a short walk into town to enjoy some drinks at Idlewild Distillery. Back at the house we appreciated the comfy chairs in the living room and games that kept us entertained for hours. Highly recommended! We can't wait to go back!

Great 3 generation vacation

What a fun time. Everyone (tweens, teens, parents and grands) enjoyed the variety of games provided. Spaciousness allowed for group activities and individual retreat. The gourmet kitchen facilitated many cooks & place to gather during meal prep. The grill added to the mix. We enjoyed morning frost on the trees and the evening’s golden mountain glow. The house is beautifully appointed. Fabulous local art highlights space and brings the outdoors inside. What a view from the rooftop fireplace or hot tub. Convenience plus! Numerous local activities- skiing of course, snowshoeing, boarding, shopping & a variety of local dining options start the list. Garage has EV chargers. The bus stop to the slopes is only a block away allowing people to easily come and go whenever desired. Can’t wait to return.
