The Bear Lodge -Jasper GA

Welcome to the Bear Lodge, a newly renovated basement apartment.

The Bear Lodge has 2 apartments connected by a shared laundry room, that provides 2 living areas, 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms and 1 private bedroom and a 2nd sleeping area. The unit has a private driveway and entrance with 1,200 sq ft of living space.

The apartment is located within 10 minutes to all major shopping and highways, but is far enough away to feel like you are getting away from the hustle and bustle.



* The inside of the home has no stairs, but there are steps leading to the door. Additionally the driveway is sloped Please use caution.

* Entry code is provided 1 day before checkin. Please be sure to review the check in details before arrival to ensure you have the directions to the home, where to park and how to access the unit.

* The Bear Lodge contains two separate apartments that are connected by the laundry room. It provides a great space for families or friends to spread out and relax.

* Full Kitchen 1 stocked with basic cooking utensils. Includes a Keurig coffee maker with complimentary K cups and sugar. The unit has a stove, oven, toaster and microwave. There are a basic set of pots and pans, bottle openers, spatulas, cutting boards, etc.

* Living room 1 - The sofa has an electric sofa with recliners and an LCD TV with Netflix streaming served. (We do not provide cable)

* You are welcome to sign into your own streaming services while staying with us. Please make sure you sign out before leaving.

* Guest Room 1 has a King bed. The lights are equipped with USB ports for charging your device. Wall mounted LCD TV. Full length mirror, dresser and closet with hangers. Additional blankets and sheets in the closet.

* There is a queen inflatable mattress that can be used by guests.

* Bathroom 1 - has a walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Bath towels are located in the tall dresser outside the bathroom door.

* Home is on a septic tank. Do not dispose of baby wipes, flushable wipes, makeup wipes etc. in toilet.

* Washer and Dryer is shared with the other unit. We provide laundry pods, an iron and ironing board. Broom and dust pan is located in the laundry room as well..

* Kitchen 2 - the unit also has a kitchenette with a microwave, toaster and fridge. We also have a Keurig coffee maker with coffee and sugar.

* Living 2 - has a full electric sofa with 2 recliners. LCD TV with Hulu streaming service.

* Guest room 2 - has a king bed and is part of a the second apartment that is setup as a studio. There is a curtain to divide the living from sleeping for privacy.

* Bathroom 2 - has a walk-in shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Bath towels are located in the small dresser outside the bathroom door.

* There is an ottoman that opens into a twin bed.

* There is a large deck that is accessible from the studio apartment side. The deck includes seating and a large TV for enjoying the outdoors.

* There is no firepit on the property.

* No pets allowed
* No Smoking Indoors (outside is ok)

* There are security cameras on the property for the safety of our guests and property. They are located facing the driveway and deck.

* Home is not child proof and does not have equipment for infants and toddlers. Please ensure to bring any equipment you need, if coming with infants and toddlers.

* The unit is a basement apartment and guests may hear some noise from upstairs periodically. Such as walking. We make all efforts to keep any noise to a minimum.

* Checking out - guests are only required to turn off the lights and load the dishwasher. No other actions are necessary.


Local attractions

* Weddings - We are located within a 20 to 30 minute drive to many of the local wedding venues. Such as the The Wheeler House, The Greystone Estate, The Tate House and many others.

* Jasper, GA and the surrounding towns have many local attractions for the family, such as hiking, tubing, waterfalls, and sightseeing. Some examples: Gibbs Gardens, local wineries, the Etowah River Park and hiking trails, the Marietta National Cemetery, Reformation Brewery, Amicalola Falls, Gold Mine tours, antique shops, annual Apple festival in Ellijay and many others.

* Jasper also has “2nd Saturday”. A day of crafts, music, local vendors etc located in downtown.

* Helicopter tours - Alpha Helicopter Tours leaves from the Cherokee county regional airport located about 25 minutes away. They offer sightseeing flights to Amicalola Falls, Atlanta Skyline and others.

* Amicalola Falls - Dawsonville - is a beautiful waterfall located 30 minutes from Jasper. The cascading waters fall from a height of 729 feet and is the tallest waterfall in the state of Georgia. The falls are accessed by a moderate walk on a paved walkway.

* Gold Mine Tours - Dahlonega - there are multiple Gold mines in the area to tour. Some offer the option to go underground and see the old mine tunnels. Great activity for the kids.

* Gibbs Gardens - Ball Ground - 25 minutes away (opens seasonally check their website for dates) - a world class garden located on a 300 acre estate with beautiful landscapes.

* Wineries - Jasper - local wineries within 30 minutes: Fainting Goat Vineyards, Sharp Mountain Vineyards, Waldmet cellers and others.

* JeepFest - Jasper has an annual Jeep Festival. The festival is usually the first weekend in September. Jeeps registered can access jeep trails and obstacles.

* Love the fall colors? Our Bear Den is a great place to start your journey for a day long ride through the North Georgia Mountains. Starting in late October through early November the North Georgia mountains begin to show the beautiful fall colors.
