Welcome to Knotting Hill â tucked between the quaint coastal villages of Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. Nestled on nearly two acres of peaceful surroundings, it's the perfect place to enjoy a quiet coffee on the deck and watch the deer graze on the grounds. Thanks to our private, relaxing setting, you'll enjoy being away from the hustle and bustle of busy street traffic.
THE SPACE
Welcome inside our cozy but spacious home, thoughtfully decorated in seaside blues, inspired by the nearby ocean. Inside our fully stocked kitchen, we have everything you need to create a special dinner to celebrate a loved ones birthday, or enjoy a romantic Anniversary meal together. Weâve even added a high chair, portable crib, dinnerware and cutlery for your littles, because tiny humans need vacations too!. Relax in our light and airy open plan living and dining room and take part in a friendly game with our board games, puzzles, arts & crafts, books & knitting needles. If youâre looking for outdoor adventure, take one of our 2 inflatable kayaks out for a paddle around Mahone Bay or launch at Westhaverâs beach which is only 1 km away. In the evening, sit around the firepit under the stars as you roast marshmallows and tell questionable ghost stories.
Youâll feel well rested after your first nightâs sleep in our Captain's Quarters, a King Suite with a sumptuous King bed and a comfortable double futon - great for kids or extra guests. Our second bedroom, The Lobster Loft, also boasts the same comfortable mattress in a Queen size, and features an ocean inspired lobster stained glass window. Our home comfortably sleeps up to 6 people and is equipped with 1 1/2 bathrooms.
In this local gem, we have won the hearts of our guests with our sparkling clean accomodations and a responsive host who loves to make recommendations when asked. So you can focus on your vacation. Together, we've spent our careers in emergency services, which has taught us the importance of care, compassion, and creating safe, comforting environments. Hosting allows us to carry those values forward in a new way - welcoming guests and helping them feel truly at home.
We're passionate about the outdoors and spend our free time fishing, camping and travelling. Travel is a big part of our lives - we've explored the US, Asia, Europe, Africa and across Canada - but no matter where we go, we're always happiest returning to the peace and charm of the South Shore.
We look forward to helping you create lasting memories here.
