Nestled on the shore of Pickerel Lake, you can experience a true up-north vibe. Once settled in the woodsy cabin shaded by cedar and spruce, take a stroll out through the large door wall onto your deck. Another step and a hammock awaits! A few more steps and Adirondack chairs surrounding a fire pit offer a full view of the lake. From your private beach, a full dock provides more than adequate mooring for all the boats and floating toys you may bring along. There is a boat launch right around the corner just yards away from the local market with all the fishing tackle, pizza, beverages, and groceries you’ll need. Fish, swim, ski, or sit gazing at the stars while listening to the water caress the sandy shore. The only reason to return indoors is to cook or sleep. There, the newly remodeled kitchen and new appliances provide enough storage for an entire summer of cooking. Not the chef of the group? Sit on one of six stools sipping your favorite beverage while you wait. At the end of an adventurous day, three cozy bedrooms and a sleeping porch beckon dreams of the next day ahead. Exploring the greater vicinity is a great escape. Take your boat through the Inland Waterway to Lake Huron if you wish. Drive a few miles west and farm markets, wineries, and the eclectic town of Petoskey await. However you decide to spend your time on Pickerel Lake, choices abound.

Beautiful View of the Lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was just what we were looking for and just as pictured. It was a convenient location between Mackinac Island and Petoskey. The kitchen had everything that was needed and nicely laid out. The bedrooms are small but comfortable. It was so nice to sit outside at night and see the sunset.

Lake getaway

This trip ended up sort of a last minute thing but this house fit the bill perfectly. It was great having the little bit of lakeshore and the dock, not to mention the canoe and kayaks, for the kids to play at and enjoy. It was also a nice central location to be able to hop over to Petoskey, Charlevoix, Mackinac, and Cheboygan. I didn't have much luck fishing, but that's nothing new for this cursed fisherman. The only negative is that it can be a bit of a hike to get to a restaurant or grocery store and the unit only has a window AC, so it can get warm if there's a major heat wave come through. All-in-all though, this was a great find! Thank you for hosting us!
