Do not stay unless you have a very tight budget. Smells awful, mosquitoes everywhere.This place was very uncomfortable to stay in. Upon arrival, we were greeted with dead AND alive mosquitoes accompanied by a waft of mildew and sewage emanating from the kitchen. It’s very weird because the place was indeed still clean - bedding was clean, bathroom was clean, lots of towels provided. But the smell was overpowering - maybe they got flooded or something. There were dead mosquitoes all over the beds and floor. The ones left alive were huge and all over the place - we had to kill them our first night. Chicago has confirmed cases of west Nile so we were very concerned. We did not use the kitchen much but when opening up the cupboards and drawers, we saw more mosquitoes and even spiders inside.The AC doesn’t really work either. For some reason the AC vent is covered by a closet door and doesn’t actually circulate in the home, so it never reached below 76 the whole weekend. Giving 2 stars for the location (easy access to the city) and the host did send in someone to help check out these issues but it was to no avail. They just gave us a ton of plugin air fresheners which did nothing.This place makes no sense because some aspects were fine- beds were comfortable and the kitchen seemed well equipped. Why not fix the other issues too?We got what we paid for (maybe a little bit less) but we def wouldn’t have stayed here if we knew about these issues. How they
