Had a problem when we arrive getting into the door there was no key entrance in door knob deadbolt only no heat had to use oven and a little plug-in heater that the Wife had found the place does not sleep five more like sleeps three no extra bedding for the futon It’s really cute inside and pretty clean had two refrigerators but only one works. Want to do a load of laundry, downstairs really steep steps found a bunch of wet rugs down there that were sour and stinky. When you turn on the bathroom fan, it pulls all the stink smell from downstairs from the basement. The outside looks pretty shady due to no yard maintenance grass was tall if the heat was fixed and the door seal on basement door and heat fixed and some yard maintenance. I would stay there again.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE!1) Despite contacting host twice prior to my flight to get home address and code to enter, I was not given that information until I arrived in Anchorage which was disconcerting.2) We found the bathroom to be clean, but not much else. The futon I slept on and been thrown up on and still smelled rank. I could have covered up the smell a little with the bedding, but none was provided. We contacted the host who said he would talk to cleaning staff. Futon never got cleaned and we received bedding 3 days later. I used garbage bags over the vomited area and used bath towels as blankets for 3 days.3) We were going places so we’re in and out of the rental, but when we finally were staying in for most of the day, we realized there was no heat. We watched TV with our coats on and got cold at night. We thought it was our fault that we didn’t know how to operate the thermostat. However, we met a friend there who said he would look at our heat problem. After checking out the system he told us the system was turned off in the basement. So we stayed cold on our last day as by then it was too late to try to resolve that.4) Kitchen floor was sticky so we had to make sure we had our shoes on while in the house.

Property was clean and had everything promised. Check-in was very easy. Kitchen had 2 refrigerators of which one was not working.

Place had been winterized a month before our arrival. No water, no gas, no heat. Unit was not ready for inhabitants. Had to heat the unit with 2 space heaters. Towels were in the stinky basement. Washing machine had no hoses. Host door dashed hoses but wanted us to install, had no tools. Hot water didn’t work in kitchen, had to boil pans of water to wash dishes. Found out unit has been on/off/on market. Husband had heart surgery but host expected me to wait at house for plumber to arrive or let him come in while we were at the hospital. Only heat was 2 space heaters due to boiler being off. Rented the unit 5/9 but it was winterized 5/11 after we had already rented to unit. This place was a NIGHTMARE! I want my money back

Demand a refund

I need my money back, I didn’t stay 5 minutes cause, the place was dirty, trash in all the trash cans, dirty towels in the shower, they didn’t clean after the renters before us. We contacted the host & Vrbo for a refund and they are both lacking a response
