Step inside this cozy lakefront cottage and leave the fast paced world behind for a few days. Serene water views from nearly every spot in the house will give you a sense of peace the minute you walk through the door. Sleep in then step out onto the screened porch, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee and a good book. Just a few more steps and you can spend the day surrounded by crystal clear water and the sights and sounds of lake life. Evenings are best spent on the deck under the stars, making memories after a day of fun in the sun. You won’t want to be inside but if you have to you’ll have all the comforts of home. Everything you need to prepare family meals will be within reach. Get a blissful night’s sleep in either of the three bedrooms, thoughtfully prepared for your stay.

Our Little Oasis is a welcome respite in North Carolina's Sandhills region. Come for a visit with family, to play golf at our area's world class courses, or just to refresh your soul in one of NC's most beautiful lakes. We're just minutes away from Fort Liberty (Ft. Bragg if you're from around here), Pope AAF, and the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville. The Little Oasis is a short drive from both Methodist University and Campbell University as well. This central NC home is also the perfect launching spot for many day trips to festivals, attractions and points of interest across our state.

I’m from all over North Carolina. I was born in the middle of the state and moved all around the eastern part of the state as a child, landing in the little town of Hope Mills as a preteen. From there I went to college in the mountains at App State, then to Wilmington and boomeranged back to Fayetteville as a young adult. I LOVE North Carolina and I LOVE hosting because it allows me to visit other states and always come home again to my favorite spot in the middle of the state. They say home is where the heart is, I say my heart is where my home is, right here at my lake house.

I lived in this house for 20 years and raised my family on this lake. My husband, Bill and I got married in the front yard. Every sweet and bittersweet memory of my adulthood happened here, I enjoy everything about lake living, there’s nothing I don’t love. The neighbors help each other, there’s always a bird singing or a woodpecker knocking, deer and rabbits running around, it sounds like a Hallmark movie, but it’s all true and I just want to share it with others. I want everyone who stays in our cottage to leave with precious memories and a plan to come back and make more!

There’s just a comfortable feeling here, you have to experience it to understand. It’s just a happy place to be, maybe it’s because it’s surrounded by so much natural beauty and you see it everywhere you look, if your inside you see the beauty outside if you’re outside you just breath it in. It’s close to things but far away at the same time. Our last name is Little and an oasis is a pleasant place in the middle of a hectic situation or water in an arid spot. Both descriptions are perfect for our Little Oasis in the Sandhills, escape the busyness that may be at your heels, put your feet up here and let your troubles pass underfoot, at least for a few days.
