Great location and beautiful view!

It was the perfect getaway for a family recharge. So many lakes and beautiful places nearby to visit. Very responsive management team with great food recommendations.

Lake Barkley retreat

Was our 50th anniversary and was looking for a cabin near a lake to relax for a few days. This was it. Was far from any food establishments or other touristy sites, but that was what we were looking for. Great Stay and Great accomodations.

Incredibly peaceful. View from the deck is exactly as shown -- it was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows are shot. We chose to use pillows from both rooms. The house itself has a good deal of deferred maintenance going on, and more outdated than I expected from the listing. Kitchen and bath were clean, but cobwebs hanging in corners and from the ceiling fans. Bottom line -- it worked for us for a few nights. We happened to have our own camp chairs and table, so the peaceful deck made up for the shortcomings.

Just arrive home from 4 wonderful says with our family in this beautiful home.

We had the most amazing time in this bright and beautiful family home. Peace and quiet. Beautiful views of the lake from the large deck. The home was immaculate and had everything you could possibly want in a vacaton home. The owners were very easy to reach and deal with. We loved it and will definitely be coming back soon!

FABULOUS.........pretty much sums it up!

The views are breathtaking, especially the sunset. The windows in the open living area allow for a constant view of the water. And the French doors in the "master" bedroom allow for the same view. We found the home to be quite lovely and clean. It's obvious that the owners want your stay to be easy and comfortable. We were really happy with the amenities including the washer/dryer, kitchen and bath accessories and the various beverages provided by Summer. And we couldn't believe the amount of food left behind by previous vacationers of which most was unopened..........even in the fridge and freezer. Being a native of the immediate area and spending many summer days on the lake, it is still a thrill to be on the lake and take in all of the surrounding scenery of the lakes and LBL (land between the lakes). The location of this rental gives you everything you need within 20 miles; including Lake Barkley State Park and the center of Cadiz (a great place for antiquing and quaint shops). There are a couple of things that we would like to see added but by no means would this deter us from renting again. 1st, blinds/shades/curtains in the front bedroom; this bedroom is on the street side and visible to anyone passing by. 2nd, a new grill; the current one has seen better days and we had to do some "fixing up" before using it. In summary, the descriptions and previous reviews were spot on. Summer was very quick to answer our questions during our stay and she contacted us via text a couple of days after our arrival just to see how things were going. We highly recommend this rental for romantic getaways and family vacations.

Beautiful cabin felt home with garage and an Amazing view of Lake Cumberland! My 13 month old enjoyed his freedom crawling around safe and clean. It was the perfect getaway and allowed us to bring our fur babies and not leave them with someone.

Really nice house with a hreay view

Everything was great about my stay except the weather. When I arrived the heat index was 108F and the air conditioning was set at 78F. It would have been nice if it was set cooler. The view was great and the neighborhood was so calm and peaceful. It was a relaxing stay, but I left four days early because of the extreme heat.

Great Oasis!

Stayed during terrible rains in April of 2025. Nice to be able to have a dry place with great views of the water to still enjoy some of the beauty of the area without getting soaked! Thanks for your hospitality! Land Between the Lakes very close with lots of outdoors things to do. Hope to be back and do them this time!

Relaxing cabin on Lake Barkley

My husband and I, along with our 2 kids (ages 21 & 19) and our dog enjoyed a relaxing long weekend in the beautiful home. We were looking for a place to reconnect and unplug. Our daughter attends Murray State, so this was a great meeting point. The view of the lake/river is beautiful. We loved stargazing and watching the wildlife: migrating geese, bald eagles, birds, and deer. The sunsets were beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and the overall setting was peaceful. The main living area is spacious yet still has a cozy feel to it. The master bedroom is snug, but the view is beautiful and the bed is comfortable. The kids shared the second bedroom, but we brought a twin air mattress for our son to use, while his older sister took the double bed. There was plenty of room to move around in that room even with the air mattress set up. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the deck is perfect in every way. There is no water access from the cabin, but since we didn't have a boat and weren't planning to go into the water, this was fine with us. The street is very quiet and was a great place to take the dog for a walk. The cabin is close to LBL, and fairly easy to get to. We will definitely stay here again. My husband said that it was the best vacation he has ever had. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing place to listen to nature, read a book, play board games but still want to be close to civilization, this place is an absolute gem! We loved every minute we were there.

End Of Summer Getaway

Beautiful, clean property inside and out. The kitchen had everything you need. Grill was clean and easy to use. The care taker was proactive regarding our stay with her thoughtfulness. A couple of items that may need attention: 1. There was no clear path down to the waterfront and 2. Extra wall mirrors in the bedrooms would be useful with only one bathroom in the house.

The home was quite nice. Kitchen very well stocked with anything that could possibly be needed. The weather was wonderful so we had the pleasure of being outside a good bit of our stay. Scenery was very relaxing. Thanks for sharing your home.

Peaceful spot by the lake

One of the most relaxing stays we've ever experienced as family. We saw deer, bald eagles, lots of barges that went by and was fun to watch. Great views, and kitchen was well stocked with necessary pots/pans, accessories. I was sad to leave. Would stay here again!

Peaceful

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. We enjoyed watching the boats and barges go by. Saw a river boat one day also. It’s a nice area and very quiet. We saw all kinds of birds. The eagles visited us and would sit in the tree. We met a couple of the neighbors very nice people. Visited the bison and elk prairie. We were able to see both. We walked on some trails and visited the LBL recreation area. Nice area with plenty of deer and their fawns. We enjoyed our stay very nice and relaxing.

Great Place on the Lake. Amazing Views! Awesome Sunsets!

Loved the place! Had everything you could possibly ask for in the kitchen. We didn't have a need to contact the host but their information was present and helpful. The lake view was amazing! It was cool to see some barges go by every once in a while. There isn't access to the lake which was fine for us but it is something to be aware of. We went to an animal preserve close by and saw some elk and buffalo. Also went on a few hikes. Great location!

Peace and quiet with great views

Great views overlooking the river. We saw six eagles in the two days we were there. All of the windows just floods the house with natural light and it was beautiful! We enjoyed our time there relaxing. Thank you Summer for allowing us to check in early. We would recommend this home.

Exactly what we wanted!

This home is exactly as advertised and was the perfect retreat for me and my daughter to hide away for a few days before Thanksgiving to eat, watch movies, and be lazy. Gorgeous views, responsive owner/caretaker, wonderful fireplace, fast internet, comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen. High recommend! Thank you for letting us relax and recharge in your beautiful home!
