2-yksikön viktoriaaninen kotimme ja rakennettiin vuonna 1906. Alempi yksikkö on täysin erillinen 1 makuuhuoneen huoneisto. Olemme tehneet laajaa työtä kotona ja maalla. Se on kaksinkertaisen kokoinen, joten puolet maasta on maisemoitu vesiputous ja lampi kaloilla, yli 15 lajin Havaijin ja Polynesian kasveja ja laaja piha. Huomaa, että vakavan kuivuuden takia olemme lopettaneet nurmikon kastelun. Se on 2 yksikön koti, asumme yläpuolella ja Halekipa (vieraskoti) on ensimmäisellä tasolla. 1 makuuhuoneen huoneistossamme on bambu puulattiat, matto makuuhuoneessa, täysikokoinen pesukone ja kuivausrumpu yksikössä, päivitetyt laitteet, queen-size-vuode ja vedä sohva olohuoneessa. Se mahtuu 4. Siellä on myös ylimääräisiä tyynyjä, huopia, lakanoita ja pyyhkeitä. Meillä on myös muutamia asioita lapsille (poikien ja tyttöjen makuupussit ja muutama peli ... lisää vielä tähän). Koti on varustettu nopea WIFI ja kaapeli T. V. (Astound). Tämä ominaisuus on myös nimeltään Kaululehua Hawaiian Cultural Center. Huomaat tanssistudion ja kirjaston myös maalla. Kerran viikossa järjestetään luokkia (tanssi) ja kerran kuukaudessa kulttuuritaiteita (kudonta ja lei-valmistus). Kotimme sai Etelä-San Franciscon kauneuspalkinnon vuonna 2011 Etelä-San Franciscon kauneimmasta kodista!
Olemme sijaitsevat South San Franciscon (SSF) keskustassa, kaikki ravintolat ovat kävelyetäisyydellä (Starbucks, Pete's, Subway, useita kiinalaisia ja meksikolaisia, thaimaalaisia, vietnamilaisia, korealaisia, italialaisia, argentiinalaisia, amerikkalaisia, japanilaisia ja muita). Block-alueella on muutama ruoka-, viina- ja lääkekauppa. Jotkut suosikkiravintolamme: Aamiaiselle - köysiravintolakahvila (ei mitään hienoa, vain nopea hyvän olemuksen mukainen aamiainen), lounaalle - La Morena (paras al pastor nachos, tacos ja lautaset), illalliselle - Izanami (upeat erikoisuudet, upouusi) ja mukava ilmapiiri. Jos sinulla ei ole koskaan ollut See'n karkkeja, tehdas on kadulla, jonka saatat haluta käydä näytteitä varten ;-)
Kaikki mitä tarvitset, on 1 mailin päässä (huumekaupat, tavaratalot, ketjuravintolat jne.) Useimmat ihmiset oleskelevat paikallamme, käyvät sivustolla. Vieraillemme on osoitettu 1 parkkipaikka, mutta jos et aja linja-autoa, yhden korttelin sisällä, Juna (Cal. Juna) on 4 korttelin päässä, Bart on 10 korttelin päässä. Kaikki nämä voivat viedä sinut jonnekin mielenkiintoiseen. San Franciscon keskustaan on noin 15 minuuttia autolla. San Franciscon lisäksi sinun pitäisi varata aikaa tutustua rannikkoomme etenkin Tyynenmeren keskustaan ja risteilylle kuuluisella valtatiellä 1 käydäksesi Half Moon Bayn keskustaan!

The five star reviews are not legit

This was my first time booking a vacation through vrbo and i regret it. I am not sure how the property can be listed as an A with cleanliness when we found dirty towels, toilet paper missing on day 1 upon arrival, toilet broken down next morning and we couldnt flush it and hours later i get the message it is fixed. The lock wasnt working, my kids were out at 9.30 in th night where the code wasnt workng and the owner didnt even pick our phone or answered our text despite being there ( he answered the helper person but not a tired mom with tired kids in the night). Please dont trust the reviews- they are all made up. The lake has dirty green water, not even circlauting or being changed and the window seal has insects trapped in it. Please make fun memories elsewhere and dont make the mistake I did.

Hawaiian hideaway

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment and appreciated the cold water bottles waiting in the refrigerator and the coffee. The little bowl of snacks and bottle of wine were a nice touch, too, although we didn’t indulge. The gardens are lovely and the place is tucked in by the gardens. The week we stayed there was construction across the street during the weekdays so it was a bit loud at times. We came and went during the day so it didn’t bother us much. One the night there was a metal plate or something on the road that banged loudly every time a car drove over it. We couldn’t get the TV to work, seemed like the cable wasn’t hooked up. Only one night when we wanted to watch TV so not a big deal. The low flush toilet was a bit frustrating but it worked. Found two great places to eat close by for breakfast and Italian dinner. Very convenient and easy to drive to places in San Francisco. The parking spot was heaven as parking can be a challenge around town.

This place is great. The location is excellent. Short walk to Sign Hill, a great morning hike with even better views. Downtown restaurants are just on the other side of the block in front of the house. We walked to get breakfast and lunch several times. Super easy access to 101,280, and the Airport. Just down the road from El Camino Real. Supermarkets and shops are a very short drive away. The yard is very inviting. We had local friends over for a morning brunch and enjoyed it in the garden. Lots of seating options with great shade. This place is also very well stocked. We wanted for nothing. There was even a bottle of wine welcoming us for our stay. Thank you.

Surpassed My Expectations

Wonderful experience staying here. The unit was equipped with everything one could possibly need. The hosts even provided a nice bottle of wine and a basket of fruit upon checking in. The location is very walkable to stores, coffee houses and restaurants and I felt safe. The included parking space is a huge asset. I arrived as a tenant and I left as a family member. I shall return.

Great weekend spot when visiting San Fran !!!!

Overall a really great experience and wonderful apt and hosts !!!! We were a little concerned about the location as we were going to see shows at Oracle Park and weren’t sure how far out of the “downtown” we were, but it turned out just right !!! We were able To take an Uber or the Cal Train very easily into downtown SF! The neighborhood is so cute and has lots of dining options within walking distance. A “bodega” , a great sandwich shop, liquor store, cafe for breakfast , options for dinner, really covers it all. If you want more elegant dining in the city it’s not too far at all. The apt is terrific. We had 2 adults for a few days and 3 for one night. We were all able to have our own bed ! One in the bedroom which has the picket doors for privacy, one on the sleeper sofa ( which is a bit short. So we put the sleep mat on top and it worked out perfectly ) the other had the air bed which was conveniently stored in the closet. ) We slept comfortably and then deflated the air bed and had plenty of room to eat at the dining table, make coffee, etc. It’s a very well appointed space with really everything you need. Coffee maker , French press, full size fridge, stover. Really awesome. The outside garden is lovely !!! You have full access to the whole space. Sit at the table, or on the love seat w your feet up, enjoy your coffee or cocktails. It was a really nice bonus to have outdoor space to enjoy. Very clean and the hosts were WONDERFUL !

Excellent accommodations and hosts

My spouse and I enjoyed staying in Kawika’s spacious and very clean one bedroom apartment. It had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen and in-unit laundry machines. Location is very convenient to retail and to freeways. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and we appreciated the detailed check-in instructions and photos. Highly recommend!

Very nice for many reasons

We enjoyed our two weeks here. Very safe, comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful outdoor area in which relax. Owners were great to work with, a friendly relationship not just business. Parking was included, a big deal. We like to explore by car. Would stay here again.

Great location with responsive host

I stayed for 5 days for a work trip and just slept, showered, and made coffee at the apartment. Everything worked as expected. I really appreciated that there was already coffee, filters, and sugar available so I didn't need to run out and buy anything. The hosts were easy to get in touch with. The Apartment was bright and comfortable and quiet. The neighborhood is very walkable with great restaurants and the train station nearby. My only minor suggestion is that it would've been nice to have an empty chest of drawers to unpack my clothes into during my trip.

Very convenient location and so helpful to have a parking spot. The bed was very comfortable. The owners are thoughtful and have made their apartment welcoming with everything one might need including filtered water.

Centrally located on South San Francisco

Alley parking spot was a bit tricky but much appreciated. Carpets, floors, and behind furniture could use a good cleaning. Great amenities in the kitchen, was helpful to be able to prepare meals on site. Excellent communication from owners!

We had a great experience and extended our stay actually five extra days because it was such a great location and comfortable space we decided not to go into the city that it was better to just drive in the have all of our amenities it was a little cold to use the outdoor space but I’m sure when it’s nice out that is amazing plus

Quick visit to experience San Francisco

The apartment was very comfortable with excellent amenities for any type of visit. On site parking was a great feature. Once we figured out how to access bus or free shuttle to BART we were able to get into the city in about 45 minutes. We were able to visit many highlights of the city. The home owners were very accommodating and since we arrived during “Indian Summer” we also enjoyed the beautiful yard!! Bottled water, snacks and wine were a wonderful treat after a long day of travel detours due to fires. The neighborhood was fun, with lots of ethnic restaurants within walking distance. Perfect place to stay for our trip!

The place had everything well stocked all the way down to a few snacks, sanitizers, masks, shampoos, etc. We had some questions for the Owner during our stay and the contact information was readily available on the frig. When we reached out, they answered promptly and were able to resolve it immediately. We would definitely book it again. Thanks for making our stay enjoyable.

My uncle and aunt from India stayed here. There was a hiccup in the WiFi during their stay but the owner was communicative and had it resolved quickly. Would recommend. Its a nice cosy place

Home away from home

This is our second stay at the property. We enjoyed the experience so much in 2019, that we were thrilled to see availability for 2021. The location in South San Francisco is perfect. We were able to get into the City in about 18 minutes. So, we had the best of both worlds: easy access to the City, and a peaceful, beautifully appointed place to rest. The garden is outstanding, and we enjoyed having meals outside. Coffee and a french press made for a perfect cup of coffee, and the bottle of "welcome" wine was much appreciated. The washer and dryer meant we could pack light, and keep up with our need for fresh clothes! This is our home away from home for our San Francisco stays...Highly recommended.

Here we also run both the Kaululehua Hawaiian Cultural Center and the Hawaiian Cultural Dance Group called Halau o Keikiali'i travelling world-wide preserving & perpetuating the rich Culture of Hawaii. We fell in love with this property when we first saw it. Because it is located on a double wide lot, we were amazed with the space and all the potential it offered. Over the years, we lovingly worked on landscaping by adding trees, plants, & foliage most of which are native to Hawaii. We continued by adding a pond & waterfall and worked on improving the dwellings including our dance studio located on back of the premises.

We love beautiful Victorians because they have so much character and this home was exactly what we were looking for when we made our move to the Peninsula. Our goal was to bring a piece of Hawaii to this land, to grow native plants, and have a place to continue our Cultural work. We love the fact that this area where our home is located is so convenient to shopping, restaurants, shopping malls, theaters, and all the specialty shops we could ever need.
