We invite you to come and stay in our 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in the Historic District of Uptown Whittier. We are centrally located between Disneyland and Hollywood/ Universal Studios with easy freeway access to all the tourist attractions and beaches in LA and Orange County.

This house is perfect for individuals, families, groups, sports teams, corporate training seminars, ladies get away. We are walking distance to Whittier College, 10 minute drive to Biola College, Friendly Hills Golf Course and Rose Hills Memorial Park. Located only minutes away from miles of hiking, running and mountain bike trails in the local Whittier Hills.

Located just steps from a variety of great restaurants, coffee houses, bakeries shopping and a movie theater in Whittier's Uptown Village. Come have a glass of wine at the Bottle Room, enjoy a delicious meal of the best barbecue in town at Steve's BBQ, the Italian flavor Datillo's or the Spanish cuisine of Phight.

Just a short drive to City of Industry business district, City of Industry Golf Course/ The Palms Resort, Pomona Fairgrounds, Rio Hondo College, Rio Hondo Police Academy.
Great for traveling nurses as PIH /Whittier/Kaiser and Rancho Los Amigos Hospital are all close by.
Close to the Staples Center (Home of the LA Lakers, Clippers and Kings), LA Fashion District, LA Convention Center, LA Live, Coliseum, USC , Exposition Park . And if you want to shop or gamble, we are only a 10 minute drive away from the Citadel Factory Outlet Shopping Mall and the Commerce Casino.

Come and enjoy our beachy atmosphere with a fully stocked kitchen if you prefer to cook your own meals. Plus there is a washer/dryer for your use , plenty of off street parking and of course free wifi (wireless internet). In the morning enjoy a cup of coffee on the private patio and in the evening watch a movie in the comfy living room. When you stay at our place we want you to feel at home. We look forward to your stay !

Large, comfortable space, walking distance to uptown.

We had rented this property for one week to accommodate our out-of-town work colleagues. The house was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Perfect location, walking distance to Uptown Whittier, which has many great shops and restaurants. We will use this home again the next time our team is in town.

Great stay in Whittier

Nice property as described in the listing. Very close and a short walk to shops. The host was flexible with the check in and out times, which was much appreciated. We would stay there again if back in the area.

Visit to see friends and family

We came back to Whittier for a reunion. This house is located in Uptown Whittier close to all restaurants/bars & even church. We each had our own spacious room. The living areas were great. We will definitely be back!

Needs a thorough cleaning

The house was nice, but definitely could have been cleaned better prior to our arrival. The floors needed to be swept, there was sand in one of the beds, the master bathroom had cobwebs. We inquired about the thermostat being lowered due to my moms medical condition and never received a response back. Neighborhood is quiet, but there is not alot of parking.

Family enjoyment in a sad situation

I booked this unit for my adult children, their spouses and teens. They enjoyed the unit thoroughly. Easy access to morning coffee and doughnuts and not far to an In and Out. Coming from Florida for their grandmother / great grandmother's funerals (both my mom and my husbands mom), this unit provided a good place for them to decompress and enjoy each other. Thank you

Basketball camp

Easy check in/out. Great location for my sons’ basketball camp. Very spacious, clean and close to restaurants, cute local coffee shops. Would stay again next summer if my sons return to Basketball camp at Whittier College. Host Bill was great. Texted to check in with us when power was out, even offer to run flashlights over!

Short Stay

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Bill and Carrie’s lovely home. It was very clean and exactly as the pictures shown. A huge plus is the wheelchair accessibility walk way leading to the front door entrance. It was perfect to wheel my dad up to the front door. Bill and Carried were very responsive and stayed in communication with me when I had any questions leading up to the time of our stay. They were also very kind and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great location near to stores, restaurants and downtown.

Our Second Home

This was our 4th time staying in this absolutely perfect house. We brought my dad home to his birthplace of Whittier one last time and it was wonderful having a home where all his nieces and nephews could come have a visit. EXCELLENT location, walking distance to everything in uptown, easy parking, wonderful house, and Bill is a great host. The thermostat was acting up when we first got there and he came right away and REPLACED it with one that works great. I am quite certain we will be staying again.

Great Stay

Bill’s home is wonderful. The beds are comfy. The house is clean. Kitchen is great. The neighborhood is usually quiet. We have stay a couple of times and each time was a a pleasant stay. Thanks so much Bill. Bill is a great host and replies back pretty quickly too. Just FYI when visiting Cali in general. California laws though pot/weed is legal to smoke and u can smell it when outside and where ever u visit. Keep the windows closed.

Great house, nice neighborhood

I was looking for a vacation house to host a group of 9 teens from Vietnam and a friend of mine recommended Bill and Carrie's home to me at the very last minute. The informative description of the house on VRBO and the host's (Bill) flexibility and willingness towards my requests bought me into it and I must say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. We stayed at this lovely and cozy home for one week and the kids loved everything about it. Will definitely recommend it to my families and friends and stay here again whenever I'm in LA. Thanks a lot for letting us stay at your home, Bill.

very clean easy to access and checkout

the house is a four bedroom two bath house with tile floors in a very nice neighborhood. there is a nice farmers market on Friday just two blocks away. the kitchen is very functional and the house was presented very clean and easy to access (digital key pad). the owners were easy to deal with an delivered on all of their promises in a timely manner. i will stay here again with my family...thank you
