Step into Gone Surfing, our oceanfront home on Folly Beach where salty air, wide-open views, and laid-back vibes are part of the daily rhythm. Built in 1962 and full of character, this is our familyâs personal retreatâshared with guests who want to slow down, stretch out, and sink into beach life.
Wake up to sunrise over the water, sip your coffee with the waves in full view, and head straight out for a surf session or beach walkâno shoes required. The wide open layout makes gathering easy, and the downstairs open-air space is perfect for ping pong battles, yoga flows, or just catching a breeze in the shade.
With 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and thoughtful touches throughout, Gone Surfing is made for families, small groups, and those dreaming of a coastal retreat with heart. Whether youâre surfing, sunning, or simply relaxing, our hope is that you leave feeling lighter, sandier, and just a little more connected to the magic of Folly.

Weâre a Folly Beach familyâlocals who surf, raise our kids by the sea, and run our own real estate company, Sweet Grass Real Estate, right here on the island. Gone Surfing is our personal home, and every morning starts with a sunrise over the ocean (I even post a photo each day in the âSunrises and Sunsetsâ Facebook groupâitâs a whole thing!).

We didnât just choose this communityâitâs our life. Jon was born in Charleston and grew up coming to Folly, and Iâve called this island home for the past 29 years. Together, we run two small businesses here: Sweet Grass Real Estate and Jonâs law office, both rooted right in the heart of Folly. We live here, work here, surf here, and spend as much time as we can out on the water.
Folly isnât just a beachâitâs a vibe. Itâs funky, creative, and full of character. Youâll find sunrises worth waking up for, friendly faces around every corner, and a true sense of community you donât find many places anymore. This place has our hearts, and weâre so happy to share it with you.
