Despite its tranquil setting, the cabin is conveniently located just 1.5 miles from Snow Summit and Big Bear Lake, providing easy access to a variety of outdoor activities year-round. Whether you're interested in skiing, hiking, or exploring local shops and eateries, everything is within a short drive.
☆ Getting Around
While having a personal vehicle is recommended for flexibility, Big Bear Lake offers convenient public transportation options:
• Free Big Bear Trolley: Operated by Mountain Transit, this complimentary service runs multiple routes connecting key destinations, including ski resorts, The Village, and shopping areas.
• Mountain Transit Buses: For those traveling from the San Bernardino area, Mountain Transit provides affordable bus services into Big Bear Lake on select days.
These options make it easy to navigate the area without the hassle of parking, especially during peak seasons.

• Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in a peaceful, residential neighborhood—ideal for relaxation and reconnecting with nature.
• No A/C — but fans and Big Bear’s cool mountain air keep the home comfortable during warmer months.
• Please bring extra firewood if you plan to use the fireplace frequently. We provide some starter logs, but it’s always good to have more on hand.
☆ Traveling in Winter
• From November 1st to April 30th, CalTrans may require all vehicles to carry snow chains, regardless of whether you have 4WD. Be sure to check road conditions before traveling. Chains are widely available at auto supply shops, hardware stores, and convenience stores.
• We cannot issue refunds if you're turned away due to not having chains or the proper vehicle—please plan ahead.
☆ Family Friendly
• As parents ourselves, we’ve tried to make the cabin as family-friendly as possible.
• Amenities include a pack 'n play with crib sheets, plastic plates, bowls, utensils, sippy cups, plus toys, books, games, and puzzles for kids and families to enjoy together.
☆ Pet-Friendly Accommodations
• Pets are welcome with a $100 fee per pet, per stay (max 4 dogs, up to 50 lbs each).
• Please clean up after your pets, and do not leave them unattended indoors, as barking may disturb the neighbors.
• A $200 fee will be charged if any pet waste (e.g., urine or feces) is found beyond pet hair.
☆ Power Outages
• Power outages are not uncommon in mountain areas and are usually caused by the utility provider.
• We do our best to notify guests in advance if we’re informed, but this isn’t always possible.
• If an outage occurs, reach out to us—we’re happy to provide flashlights or assistance. Unfortunately, we are not liable for outages during your stay.
House Rules
• Primary renter must be 18+, sign a rental agreement, and provide valid photo ID. The registered guest must remain on-site for the entire stay. Subleasing is prohibited.
• Maximum occupancy is 5 overnight guests, per city regulations. Exceeding this limit may result in fines or eviction.
• No parties or events. Loud music, rambunctious gatherings, or excessive cars disturbing neighbors are strictly prohibited.
• Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 10 AM. Excessive noise or disturbances may result in immediate eviction without refund.
• Smoking or vaping is not allowed indoors, including cigarettes, marijuana, or e-cigarettes. Any cleaning or damage costs will be charged to the primary guest.
• Please clean up after your pets and be mindful of barking to avoid neighbor complaints. Max dogs 2
• Park in driveway, no street parking is permitted. Max 3 vehicles. Avoid blocking neighbors’ homes or driveways.
• Firepit, BBQ, and fireplace must be operated by responsible adults only.
• No firearms, fireworks, or hazardous materials allowed on the property.
• Follow all local, county, and state laws and short-term rental regulations, including all rules on the City's "Good Neighbor Brochure", provided prior to checkin. Noncompliance may result in eviction by city without refund.
• Late checkout may result in a fee of up to $200 unless approved in advance.
• Fines may apply for violations of house rules or city ordinances, including Code Enforcement penalties.
