Welcome to Isla Nautical! This stylish guest house is equipped with a microwave, basic vacation essentials, a projector tv, and basic beach bags.
Isla Nautical is comfortable and safe. We are LOCATED right across from a gym, 6 mins from the lighthouse and under 15 minutes from two beaches.
Food places are everywhere around our location with plenty in walking distance as well! Your vacation starts here!
Our unit is best classified as a guest house as it is a blocked off unit from the main home. The entrance will be the side gate, parking will be on the street right in front of the side gate that you enter into.

Gate entrance: Please use the gate key in the lockbox.
Door entrance: Please use the red door key in the lockbox.

Please Read Rules and information:

No smoking, no vaping/e cigarettes or anything like it inside the unit and inside the gates.

This is an energy Efficient Unit, please turn off ac and lights when you leave the unit.

Lock everything when you leave the unit.

Noise must be reasonable at all times, if it becomes excessive your reservation may be canceled and non refundable

Any police involvement is grounds for canceling your reservation and non refundable.

No drugs, drug use or synthetic drugs on property.

No illegal activity

Do not move the furniture without permission.

Do no remove extra toiletries, linens, cleaning supplies etc as those are for our cleaning team. We will request a $250 penalty if you do this.

Do not remove any locks from the unit, or any of the gated areas, if any locks are removed there will be a $500 penalty.

Please send the ID of whomever is booking and the first and last names of each guest.

Do not flush too much tissue or any feminine products, paper towels, etc. If you create an issue with the toilet, you will be charged all fees associated with fixing the problem or installing a new one.

No grilling on the property

No third party booking

No events without permission as these need screening and an additional fee. We will refer you to a concierge service for events.

This is an island and whiles our town of Arecibo is quieter than the Metro areas, outside may still get noisy from time to time.

The home is maintained regularly however because it is an island, you may see a bug here and there. That is normal! We will not refund for this.

You are responsible for your car, please park in our designated parking area and keep your car locked.

Do not leave food out!

No parties

We are not responsible for anything you forget, we will try to work with you but expect the cleaning crew to throw away things that are left behind. If you left any phones or electronics we will try to get them to you if the cleaning crew found it but again we are not responsible if we cannot get it back to you. So please make sure to do a final walk through!

Keep the gate to your unit locked.

Return the keys to the lockbox when checking out and lock your front door or we will charge you a $500 penalty fee.

Small material damages or stained linen can be resolved properly and timely if you let us know right away; we will send the cost to fix or replace the issue via the resolution center.

Garbage must be taken out daily or it will create maggots due to the heat on the island.

Put the garbage bin right outside your gate when checking out.

Hot water comes and goes (that is normal). We will not refund for this.
Parts of the island may lose electricity for a few hours or even a day. This is normal, we will not refund for this. We supply alternate light sources such as lanterns or candles.

Remember to turn off the gas stove or possibly face having to pay hefty penalties as well as a report to the police.

Expect your hosts to respond to inquiries within 24 hrs. We will try to get to you sooner if possible.

No more than 5 guests at a time (fee of $50 per guest per night plus possibly canceling your reservation may be applied for going over our guest limit (cancelation will not include a refund).

Please bring an air mattress and or extra linen for over 2-4 guests.

Please put everything back where you found it.

Clean your own dishes.

Put all dirty linen in the Basket in the bathroom Closet.

If most lights and outlets are in use, it may cause the ceiling light to occasionally flicker (just turn it off and on).

We recommended packing a battery pack for your devices in case of an emergency.

The gardening in front of the guest suite is usually maintained but at times our gardener may get a bit busy etc and our plants may be in need of some extra tlc, please note that gardening has been scheduled and will be taking place as soon as possible. We will not refund for this.

Please keep noise outside to a minimum to prevent the neighbors from complaining.

Walking during the daytime is usually safe but always be aware and prepared (bring water , your phone, charger, walking shoes, wasp spray if possible, fanny pack vs purse if possible). Always be vigilant.

Always check the weather and beaches that you want to visit. Some beaches have strong tides and undercurrents. You need to be able to know when it is safe to enter in the water and when it's not (including just putting your feet in).

We are a 45-55 min commute from the SJU airport on normal days and evenings.

Private transport, taxi or rental car are highly recommended when visiting our unit as uber tends to favor the Metro areas for now. If you need private transportation please feel free to reach out and we will refer you to a concierge service that can get you set up for your stay!

No pets! A $500+ fee will be accessed.

We do have a stove and cooking utensils, you need to use the lighter to light the stove once you turn it on. Please put the lighter back after use! Please be aware that the stove is not always on, in that case we do have a microwave. We offer tea and Coffee for you to make.

Please note we offer street parking directly on the side of the unit (with outdoor cameras). Please note the hot water fluctuates, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't we may be able to supply solar shower bags if this becomes an inconvenience.
