My wife, Lesli, and I have always loved the relaxed, coastal lifestyle â from long walks on the beach to evenings enjoying the incredible local seafood and vibrant small-town charm.
Our teenage son and I share a passion for offshore fishing and spending time on the water, while as a family, we love exploring all that this special community has to offer. Another big reason we chose this location is the incredible energy of downtown Bay St. Louis. Itâs truly the heart of the coast â full of life, with year-round festivals, live music, local art, and great dining. We wanted to be close enough to enjoy all that excitement while still having our own private retreat to come home to.
And of course, being near a marina was a must for our family â we love spending time on the water and taking our boat out to explore. Tropicalia gives us the perfect balance of peace, fun, and coastal adventure.

My wife, Lesli, has been fortunate to have a career that works with artisans from around the world, Throughout our home youâll find art, lighting, tiles, rugs, and textiles that were all handcrafted by talented makers in remote communities. Each piece has its own story, adding character and warmth to every corner of the house.
Outside, the property is shaded by majestic 300-year-old oak trees draped in Spanish moss, creating a peaceful, timeless setting. You can feel the coastal breeze, smell the salt air, and hear the birds along the shoreline â a true reminder that youâre in a special place.
For us, Tropicalia is where we come to relax, recharge, and enjoy the laid-back charm of Bay St. Louis. We hope our guests feel that same sense of peace and inspiration during their stay.
