Talon päivitykset: Uusi turvatarkastus kansihuoneessa ja uusi kannen valaistus.

Grootpan Bayn ja Kiddle Bayn rantojen välissä on Mango Villa. Tämä huvila sijaitsee USVI-kansallispuiston rajoissa rinteessä näkymästä suurelle suolaaltaalle ja Grootpan-lahdelle. Vain 10 minuutin ajomatkan päässä vilkkaalta Coral Bayltä, Mango Villan ainoat äänet ovat linnunlaulua ja kaatuvia surffauksia.

Mango Villa on 3 BR / 2 BA yksikerroksinen omakotitalo; ei ole yhteisiä tiloja. Se tarjoaa tasaisen pysäköintimahdollisuuden ja helpon pääsyn, ja se on täysin varustettu kaikella, mitä tarvitset rento saarelomalle.
Olet lyhyen matkan päässä VIERSistä ja suosituimmista rannoista Salt Pondissa ja Lameshurissa. Tämä on todella St. John off the Beaten Track.

Sisällä keittiössä ja suuressa huoneessa on holvikatot, joissa on paljaat mahonki palkit ja 10 jalkaa mahonki-aamiaishuone. Keittiö on täysin varustettu.

Master-sviitti, jossa on oma kylpyhuone, on erillään muusta talosta ja siinä on queen-vuode sekä yhden hengen vuode. (Portille saapuessasi, oikealla puolella oleva ovi on master-sviitti ja vasemmalla oleva ovi on päärakennus) Jokaisessa makuuhuoneessa on queen-vuode ja jokaisessa huoneessa on liukuovet kannelle kannen kanssa Grootpan-lahdelle päin.

The house is accurate as described with a lot of amenities to make your stay comfortable, including water bottles and a beach bag. It is a walking distance on gravel and down hill to 2 surprising calm and clear water beaches, Kiddle and Grootpan with healthier coral and decent snorkeling in safe neighboorhood. We also visited Salt pond, Waterlemon, Great Lameshur and Maho. Mango is about 2 miles to Coral bay where the Love city market is. Good price for drinks and island prices for others. We ate at Surf club Cantina once, one of the 2 Coral bay restaurants that still open in August. Their burgers are excellent, big thick juicy patties with small brioche buns. Their conch fritters were a joke, all wet dough with small chunk (not chunks) of conch.The kitchen is full of spices and the refrigerator door is full of condiments. Not sure if because of the season or just the location of the house (not too high up), there is no breeze, so we ended up cooked and ate in sweat and could not enjoy the desks or the living room. The house looks directly over of the pond with flamingos seen between the trees. The house could use a good spring cleanning: trim the trees in front of the desks, fix the running toilet so we did'nt have to keep check on it after used, throw away rusted broken folding chair etc... We had 2 power outtage during our 6 days stay. There was no running water and no cell phone when the power out, which was worrisome. These are the reasons for 3 stars.

Flamingo Surprise

This Was an incredible opportunity to stay at a wonderful house. The layout is great especially y kids off other couples. The full back deck afforded an expansive view of a salt pond and Kiddel Bay. The salt pond is in the foreground and hosted at least 100 flamingos per day. Mostly in the morning, and some in the evening. It was a wonderful display. The house location is private and serene. I couldn’t think of a better place to stay in St. John.

Relaxing trip

The villa was a nice retreat. Very quiet area of the island with nice beaches around. Only thing need a suv of some sort the road to villa is a little rough.

Peace of Paradise

The Mangos was everything that we hoped for. The location was fantastic. Of all the beaches the ones closest to the property were our favorites. Calm, uncrowded and beautiful with great snorkeling. The view from the deck was amazing. Salt pond, ocean, and unspoiled mountains, you couldn't ask for more. We saw flamingos, herons, a turtle and soldier crabs right from the deck. The area was peaceful and walking distance to a fantastic coble beach. The artistic touches and landscaping put this place as a one of a kind property. We needed to contact the owner at one point and she was prompt and helpful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful special space with us.

Private Cozy Villa

Overall, we absolutely loved staying at the Mango! From beach chairs to a toaster oven to plenty of beach towels - and everything in between - all of our needs were met. Wonderful location close to Grootpan Bay and Salt Pond where we had our favorite snorkeling adventures! The Mango is a great price for a cozy villa located on a private and quiet area of the island. In the mornings we even had a surprise visit from flamingoes, which came as a surprise. One frequent STJ visitor shared with us this is the first time she had heard of flamingoes coming to the island. Simply put, this was a perfect cozy casita for my husband and I - we would absolutely come back in the future!

Great stay at Mango Villa

Property was as described and great location at east end of the island. Communication was great with the owners and we really enjoyed our stay. Salt Pond and Lameshur are both very close and 2 of our favourite beaches.

A lovely stay

My family and I loved our time at mango villa! We really appreciated the detailed directions to the house and all the tips for the island! We enjoyed yoga on the porch while watching the flamingos, dinners on the screened in deck, movie nights after long days on the beach, and the stock of beach toys and coolers! I would definitely recommend this villa to others! The AC units in each bedroom were lifesavers. I will cherish my time in St. John for life.

Nice place but needs some updates.

Nice place but a with a few updates like blind or curtains that fit the window would help greatly. Just for future occupants the road to the house is not really a road but a rock path which is completely wash out (not the owners fault) but just for full disclosure for others:

Lovely stay at Mango

We had a lovely stay at Mango! The view is magnificent and the area is peaceful and serene. We loved having our morning coffee watching the birds and distant beach and were lucky enough to see pink flamingos in the salt pond!

Wonderful quiet villa with great view

We have stayed here twice and love the quiet and nature. Plenty of space and great view. Walk to two great snorkeling beaches and short ride to others. Clean and well stocked. Layout is great with one bedroom separate from other two. If we get back to at John again we would not stay anywhere else!

Quiet south Coral Bay

This property is located on the far south end of the island. It was a great place to relax and access Coral Bay and Salt pond beach. The house comfortable for our party of 5 adults. We loved being on the screened patio. Great access to the national park.

Great place on a fabulous island!

This was our first trip to St. John, and Mango Villa was a great place to explore from! The house was just as represented, including a very well-equipped kitchen, which we always appreciate. We enjoyed breakfasts on the screened porch every day, grilled something for dinner most evenings, and packed lunches for the cooler (so glad to have that!) when we went out exploring. Some beaches were close enough to be "walk-able" but as senior citizens we chose to drive our rented jeep. There were lots of beaches we didn't get to, and we didn't try any hiking because it was very hot. We could have gotten up early and hiked, but we like to sleep in on vacations! We hope to return to St. John in the future!

Perfect getaway

I stayed with a group of 4 friends for a week at Mango Villa and we had a great time! It was just what we needed, with easy access the hiking and beaches for snorkeling and relaxing. Would highly recommend!

Lovely place

Pros: Quiet, clean, fully equipped, walking distance to good snorkel beaches(Salt pond, Grovepan) and a trail. Cons: Longer drive from other attractions. The owners have provided useful info about the villa, beaches, and car rental and driving directions. Our questions before the trip were quickly answered. We had a heavy storm the first night stay there and power was out. We contacted the owners, who have quickly had the issue resolved.

We had a really nice stay. So many great beaches sites within near proximity to the house. Location is o. The quiet and more rustic side of the island, which is what we wanted.

St John Escape

Super cool off the beaten path home. Beautiful view of Grootpan Bay and Salt Pond. We had Rainbows 3/5 mornings after a brief shower. Snorkled 8 bays in 4 days plus Ramshead and Annenburg Plantation. Place was totally stocked with spices, sunscreen, firstaide kit, fans, snorkle gear, information books, ect. Even had a half dozen eggs and 4 cold beers in the fridge when we got there. About 40 minutes from Cruz Bay and 15 minutes from Coral Bay. East side soooo much laid back then city side. Perfect to chill out. Brianne was excellent host. We could tell she care alot about her family house. Would definitely return to Mango Villa.

Great spot to get away from it all

My wife and I spent 10 nights at Mango Villa and it could not have been better. It's a world away from the bustle of Cruz Bay and exactly what we were looking for. We planned to explore more of the island but ended up spending most of our time snorkeling at Lameshur, Kiddel, and Grootpan as well as hiking to Reef Bay. The kitchen was well-stocked, the master bedroom was cool and comfy, and the screened-in porch had great views and was perfect for meals and readlng. We will definitely be back!

Cozy stay on the quiet side of the island

The villa was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The large Brita and many ice cube trays made hiking water bottle prep easy. The AC in the bedrooms kept us cool after a day of adventuring. We enjoyed playing the “St. John - opoly” they had and loved the little blue and yellow bananaquit birds who came to visit the bird bath! The villa is on the quiet side of the island, right next to Lamshur Bay and the Rams Head trail. It takes about 40 minutes to get here from Cruz bay, but the secluded location is so peaceful, and without any light pollution, the nighttime sky is incredible! There is no shortage of wildlife to see, and we saw turtles on every beach we visited! Abundant coral, bright fish, sting rays, and more - this was truly an escape for nature lovers. A few tips: 1) Recylables are collected at ReSource Depot on Gifft Hill Road behind Tony’s kitchen. They take #1, #2, #5 plastics and aluminum! 2) Chemical sunscreens are illegal on the island to protect the abundant coral. Remember to use only Zinc or Titanium sunscreens :)

Wonderful secluded spot!

My husband and I brought our 2 year old son and four friends for a week on St. John's and Mango Villa was the perfect home base. We could spend all day adventuring the come back to a quiet and beautiful spot. The house was very well equipped, and we cooked many meals there and enjoyed them on the screened in deck. We were in close proximity to some gorgeous beaches and good snorkeling plus we got to see tons of birds, hermit crabs, lizards, and deer without even leaving home. We will definitely be coming back here!
