Summer break

Love this place, beautiful view, love the hot tub, lots of room and great location. Just a little traffic noise from the highway below, but I knew that before I booked and it didn’t bother me a bit.

Easy access, comfortable, enjoyable rental & location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Easy location to get to. My Honda sports coupe had no trouble getting to this cottage in warm weather; I put it in "sports mode" to help it ascend carefully around 5 mph. It is a paved, well maintained neighborhood road, the driveway to it is short w/ small gravel in good condition. The gate key code box is at the small tree w/tendrilled branches. The black pavement beyond the gate is well maintained & steep. You WILL NOT want to go beyond the black pavement because you will have missed your turn into the cottage's driveway & it immediately becomes loose, very steep gravel up to a privately owned home(think 4-wheel drive). The cottage itself is spacious open floor plan, clean, & not overly decorated. I suggest bringing extra blanket if you get chilly as the spare blankets are electric heating blankets w/wires running through them (not my personal preference). The traffic beyond the end of the yard can be heard because highway is below. Covered deck/porch on 3 sides of cottage. Porch swing. Plentiful outdoor/indoor seating & lighting. Fire pit has meshed steel, dome lid (removable). Full size hot tub & appliances. Plenty of hot water. Good cooling/heating air system. Very comfortable. Multiple ceiling fans & light switches w/labels. Yellow Rose Realty gave quick & professional communication when power & internet went out because of bad weather. Bring flashlight just in case & coffee mug(s). ALL light bulbs worked. Broom, dust pan, 1 large, flat screen TV. Lake Fontana has free public access <1 mile from this rental for swimming, paddle boarding, etc. I would book another stay here in the future. BEAUTIFUL area! Kind people!

Much needed getaway

This is our second time staying @ this property, and we love it here. Very clean, great view of the mountains, and out of the way, yet close enough to everywhere we wanted to be! We'll definitely be back!

My one and only complaint

I really enjoyed the cabin and it was nice i liked the way it was situated, my one and only complaint is something you can do nothing about is the noise from the motorcycles going to and from the Tail of the Dragon other than that I am 100%satisfied with our experience there.

A bad experience

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin has plumbing problems, poor beds and a bug infestation. We complained to Yellow Rose Realty about the issues and did not even receive the courtesy of a call back.We contacted Yellow Rose Realty a second time and were told that the problems could not be resolved by their staff and would be corrected after our stay was over. We requested to speak with a member of management at Yellow Rose and have never heard back from anyone.We cut our vacation short, leaving the cabin early because of the conditions and the lack of effort by Yellow Rose to address the problems.We have stayed in cabins managed by Yellow Rose before, but will never do so again.

Kitchen had everything you could want. Nice gas grill. Hot tub sparkly clean and fresh.I have stayed at 2 of their properties now and I will try another one next. I would like a king bed next time and 2 recliners. All in all it was a total 10 in rating. I highly recommend. We'll be back.

Great View of the Smoky Mountains!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed a relaxing and quiet Christmas vacation at this cabin! The view of the sunrise over the Smoky Mountains was phenomenal!! We also really enjoyed the hot tub. The price was fair for all of the amenities this place had. We also liked the location as it wasn't too far away from Bryson City but still far enough to feel secluded. When we first entered the cabin (after an exhausting nine hour drive) there was water standing on the floor from the washing machine going out into the dining area. We were told just to turn off the line to the washer and dry it up with towels. Maintenance showed up the next day to fix it. The kitchen and bathroom faucets dripped non-stop and two of the stove burners did not work. These were all tolerable things but still kind of annoying. My only true complaint was that there was no Christmas tree. The neighboring cabin had two in it. We took all of our gifts from home to open on Christmas day so that was kind of a let down for my kids. Otherwise, a superb trip! Lots of good memories were made here with my children.

Loved the hot tub and the view

The hot tub was amazing and the views were amazing. It was clean. The fire place inside was difficult to keep lit. Kitchen supplies were adequate. At last minute I decided to bring my hair dryer, which I'm glad I did. The location was great for what we wanted to do. I'm glad we got there during the day, as the turn into the driveway was quite sharp. Overall our stay was fine, just not as cozy as we like in the mountains.

Rest and Relaxation!

Quite and for the most part secluded.... We didn't leave the entire time. We felt at home and really enjoyed the hot tub. Only drawback is the traffic noise but it didn't really bother us.

Weekend getaway

This was my first time staying with yellow rose I’m not sure who’s responsibility it is but here is what I have concerns with When we got to the cabin, there was trash on the outside table and a bag of cloth tablecloths on the couch. I’m not sure if someone who stayed left it or if the housekeeper left it. There was these big black ants inside the house The house wasn’t very clean at all. It really need to be dusted, the floors didn’t look like they had been mopped, the bathtub could’ve stood to be cleaned more better the mirrors were awful I think the porch should’ve been swept and checked for cobwebs and spiders The beds were very uncomfortable Also, while we were out on our last evening I got a phone call from Billy with yellow Rose asking how was our visit and what time we would be leaving the next day. I told him our check out was at 10 am. He said well I just wanted to ask so that I can let our housekeepers know when to come clean. I just thought that was not very good etiquette and rude. We also saw cockroaches which put the icing on the cake and we had to leave way earlier 10 AM We don’t do cockroaches they’re very disgusting and carry diseases!!! we left by 6 AM and we were not planning on leaving till about 930 We did enjoy having some of the amenities like the hot tub. It was very clean and very nice. I enjoyed having a coffee maker. Overall, it was a nice stay but I do believe things could’ve been much better.

Family spring break

We enjoyed staying here the hot was nice.. we thought the jets were weak at first but then figured out how to turn them up. The view was beautiful and our dog liked roaming around the porch. And this place was located in a good area to explore hikes, cherokee village isn't far.

Overall good stay. Tight driveway. If more than one vehicle you will need to back out or back all the way in. One vehicle can make a three point turn to drive out forward. Gas grille worked great. Hot tub jets are week. Wood stove needs flue cleaned but functions well enough. Nice view, especially at sunrise. Several maintenace items needed. Yellow Rose says that have informed the owners but no action yet. Internet worked fine.
