Perfect spot for us!

We had a great stay! Ted was very communicative and thoughtful of our needs. The house fit our group perfectly and was so much fun. We enjoyed the games onsite and the indoor pool. We were able to visit and relax. A perfect weekend getaway!

Family gathering

Each year our family gathers together from 3 states to spend 4 days together. We plan meals, play games, and spend this time making memories that will last a lifetime. This was a perfect location to spend those 4 days

Excellent place to stay

Great place for a big get together

Indoor Pool was a big hit. Although, non-swimmers did not like the fact that the pool surface suddenly went down but the swimmers loved it Big Dining table was also a major hit. Wish it was a little warmer so that we could have enjoyed outsoors too.

Family Reuinion/90th Birthday Party Weekend

I can start by saying, “IT WAS AMAZING!” The property owner, Ted, provided excellent communication, accommodated all of our wishes and requests, and was extremely attentive to our needs. His property, which is absolutely beautiful, is exactly as advertised. Our family of six siblings held our mother’s 90th birthday party at this location over a weekend and it was perfect for our group of 24, including 19 adults and 5 children. Thank you so much Ted!

Great House w/ indoor pool

The house was just as shown online. It was clean, big and great for our group of 14! The indoor pool, outdoor space, hot tub, game room and fire pit allowed us to have a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend this house to others!

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

The whole family enjoyed our stay in the Winchester house. The perfect spot for a family vacation, we spent most of our days on the volleyball/badminton court and in the pool. Enjoyed by all ages! Loved the large dining areas to allow everyone to eat together. Overall One of our favorite vacations and we will definitely be back!

Perfect anniversary celebration

We had all of our kids, their spouses, and our grandkids at this property for three nights! The pool was a hit with the grandkids, we loved the outdoor spaces for volleyball and badminton, the outside picnic table was perfect for our meals. Great kitchen with everything we needed to prep meals. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group of 25 people. Would definitely come back for another stay.

Annual Family Outing

Our group consists of eight adults and seven kids ranging from 2mos to 10yo. The Winchester Guesthouse was a great fit for us. There are king bedrooms for all the adults and multiple rooms available for the kids to be close to parents or to have a cousin camp out in one of the other rooms. The house has numerous bathrooms to help get everyone ready in the morning. The grounds include badminton and volleyball counts and there is plenty of room for kickball or softball at the back of the lot. The owner Ted stays in an RV adjacent to the property and was readily available if we had questions or needed help with something. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and were a big hit with the family. Winchester, IN and the surrounding area has many tourist attractions and family activities. Do yourself a favor and check out this property when planning a large group outing.

My Group had a wonderful and memorable stay at the Winchester Guest house! Ted is an incredible host and was always quick to reply to any of my messages and checked in throughout the stay to make sure everything was going smoothly. The house is perfect for large Groups, The kitchen is fully stocked and there was plenty of towels/blankets etc. For the whole group. Pool and hot tub were awesome too! Plenty of stuff to do outside and great seating as well. Check in process was smooth and Check out process was perfectly reasonable given the size of the place.

Great place for a weekend getaway!!!

The property was perfect for our birthday weekend of 16 adults. There was plenty of room for us, and the host, Ted, was spectacular with communicating. We loved the property as there was enough space for frisbee, croquet, even capture the flag if that’s more your speed. As the house itself you could play a killer game of hide and seek. The only negatives we could possibly give and it’s pressing to do such, the pool lights were not working but are scheduled to be fixed this fall as the pool has to be drained to do such, and the temp was a bit low for some, but those of us that run hot, the temp was perfect! There were some very minute issues with the house itself but we voiced them to Ted and they have most likely already been resolved. Overall 5 stars, would definitely book again

Solar eclipse trip

The property is very large. Every thing you need is there. Our family was quite happy. The beds were very comfortable. The pull out couches could use some memory foam or newer mattresses. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful time!

Our group had a wonderful time staying at the Winchester Guest House. The place was very clean and had so much space! The kids absolutely loved playing in the pool. Ted was fantastic to work with and we would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for a family and friends gathering!

Friends and children

Had a great time with our friends and their husbands and children. Indoor pool was a hit for a chilly new year’s weekend! Plenty of room for all of us . Ted was great to work with, answered questions promptly, helped us get a TV working and was very attentive! Will book again.

Christmas in Winchester

This home was what it advertised. Lots of room for our larrge extended family. Plenty of games and room to play them. The pool was wonderful. The host communicated clearly expectations and other information we needed.. would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Ted is a former management consultant and Director with Ernst & Young focusing on information technology related projects. Ted also worked for Price Waterhouse during his management consulting career.

Ted is a graduate of Ball State University with a B.S. is Telecommunications and a Business Administration Minor. In addition to directing activities at the Inn, Ted and daughter Kiera - an Indiana University graduate founded Uncharted Pixels LLC - a web services, branding, and video production services company.. Ted is also a private pilot.

Debbie manages the housekeeping functions making sure the cleaning team work is done properly amd the home is up to her exacting standards of cleanliness and comfort. She was awarded the Hoosier Hospitality award by Indiana's Lieutenant Governor!

Debbie attended Indiana University East in Richmond and has worked in the healthcare, childcare, and social services fields during her career.

After living near Chicago, St. Louis, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Cincinnati, We purchased this property to get back to our Hoosier roots near the Whitewater River valley. Both Ted and Debbie were born in Richmond just 25 minutes south of the property. Winchester is a great little town brimming with family values, lots of churches, nearby shopping, and close to our family.

With six park-like acres, 3 fireplaces, and an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub, a conference room that seats 20, separate formal dining room that seats 6-8, a nice patio with seating for large groups, outdoor fire pit, and nearly 6 park-like acres, this property has everything you are looking for in a family reunion or retreat destination!. This home has something for everyone!. The older folks can sit by the living room fire or on the patio and have great conversation while the kids enjoy the pool or the theater/game room. The teenagers can play volleyball and badminton on the east lawn while the guys head over to the award winning 27 hole golf course and the ladies go antique shopping. We have a game closet filled with board games and playing cards. Free WIFI is available throughout the property and most rooms have 4K TVs with HDMI connections. The winery tours are a great option with live entertainment on some summer evenings. Fishing is available in the nearby towns of Farmland, Richmond, and Muncie. The historic Winchester Speedway "the worlds fastest half mile" is 10 minutes away offering pulse pounding high banked auto racing and Eldora Speedway (about 45 minutes) offers awesome dirt track racing in the summer.
