Lake house tranquility

This property was perfect for our family getaway. The kitchen was great for preparing large family meals. The view from the back deck was picture perfect. And the living/game room areas provided several places to just hang out. We loved our vacay here!

Home sweet home!

Home sweet home is how we felt during our 12 day stay. Such a cozy cottage and fit our family perfectly. The owners were very accommodating when we needed to extend our stay. Loved the quiet neighborhood and large back porch overlooking the lake. I will miss this morning view while having my coffee.

Fabulous home for families!

This home was so welcoming and comfortable! The kitchen worked like a charm and the owners were generous enough to provide lots of staples, so if you forgot something that first night you did not have to go back out. Location on the lake is great and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Hope to be back for another family outing next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Amazing Memorial Day Weekend

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely amazing—truly one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how spotless and beautifully maintained the home was. Every room was immaculately clean, and it felt like we were stepping into a brand-new house.The house was incredibly well stocked with everything we could possibly need and more—kitchen supplies, extra towels, board games, outdoor gear—you name it. It was clear that the hosts had thoughtfully prepared every detail to make guests feel at home.Speaking of the hosts, they were incredibly friendly, responsive, and welcoming. They made sure we had all the information we needed ahead of time and even checked in to make sure everything was perfect during our stay.The peaceful lake views, cozy atmosphere, and warm hospitality made this the perfect getaway. We’re already planning our return visit! Highly, highly recommend!

Perfect Spot in the Lake

We spent spring break at Sehoy Cottage and it was the perfect spot. Great location on the lake with a very nice floating dock. Year round water made it convenient to bring our pontoon boat. The owners were excellent and very accommodating. The house was very well maintained and super clean. Kitchen has more than you will need to cook for any size crowd. We spend a lot of time on Wedowee and we will definitely be back to this gem.

Holiday Family Time

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, and beautiful home with a view of the lake for your stay in Wedowee, please don’t look anymore! This is the place! We are thankful that John and Julie shared their home with us. We enjoyed visiting with our family and meeting our two newborn nephews on this trip and will definitely be back during the summer so we can enjoy the lake life to the fullest. Comfortable beds, beautiful view, plenty of space, and everything you need made this vacation so nice.

Amazing house, beautiful lake and wonderful hosts!

This house did not disappoint, just like the pictures and other reviewers said! We stayed over Spring Break with our family of four plus my in-laws and our dog. We all had plenty of room, the kitchen space was great, and the owners have thought of everything when building and stocking this house! We spent a lot of time out on the dock, used the paddleboards and brought our own kayaks. The lake was calm and gorgeous. We also loved watching the rain from the giant covered deck. The owners could not have been more helpful or responsive. We also loved hiking and exploring the state park nearby and just taking walks in the neighborhood. Overall, a fantastic trip and we hope to be back!

Lovely spot for Thanksgiving

Perfect location for our trip to Lake Wedowee. Beautiful view and lovely neighborhood. The hosts were outstanding and communication was awesome! Home was well stocked and comfortable. We will surely rent again for time with Wedowee neighbors who might well be future family through our daughter and her boyfriend:) Thank you John and Julie:)

Wonderful Home, Wonderful Hosts

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The views out the back are breathtaking, the location is quiet, and the home has everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The home itself is beautiful, and the furnishings and unique wood pieces made for an extra cozy feel. We also found the master bed to be so comfortable! John and Julie were wonderful hosts; they answered all of our questions promptly, and they were exceedingly kind and accommodating of our needs. We look forward to staying at this beautiful home again in the future!

A must stay on Lake Wedowee!

The home exceeded expectations! Great part of the lake and a beautiful home! They were so kind to have it so you can cook without having to bring your whole kitchen with you. Very generous to let you use their paddle boards (we didn’t because it was too chilly). Absolutely lovely!!!

Family Reunion at Lake Wedowee

We had a wonderful stay at Lake Wedowee. The property was perfect for our family to gather and enjoy the peaceful lake. Everyone had a wonderful experience at the lake swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding during our week long stay. The hosts were very responsive and were great about checking in to make sure our needs were met.

Perfect, Relaxing Long Weekend

Wow! What a beautiful home! It was well maintained, clean, and perfectly appointed. Everything that we could possibly need was provided. The views from the back deck are beautiful; perfect for a good book and a cup of coffee each morning. As the resident cook in our family, I always pay attention to the cookware and utensils provided. Everything was in great condition, and that made preparing meals a breeze in someone else's kitchen. The information sheet provided great insight into the house and the area, and our boys loved the paddle boards. We can't wait to visit again!

Great time at beautiful spacious Lake House

Incredible house with a peaceful and beautiful setting on the lake! The view from the large deck is relaxing, and serene. The house was very clean and the kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the fishing off the awesome dock, and were exited to venture out on the lake on the paddle boards that the owner had given permission to use. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We definitely would come back!
