Kona Makai on merenrantakompleksi, jossa on uima-allas, poreallas, tenniskentät, 3 BBQ: ta, aidattu sisäänkäynti yöllä. Kaunis maisemointi, runsaasti pysäköintitilaa, puhdas hiljainen kompleksi, kuulet vain valtameren äänen, ei liikenteen. Kun valtameri on tasainen, siellä on hyvä snorklata monimutkaisen edessä,

Yksikkömme pääsee helposti pohjakerrokseen, ei portaita. Kohonnut näkymä valtamereltä ja uima-altaalta. Olemme noin 1 mi. kaupungista, helppo kävely, leveillä hartioilla Alii Dr: llä,

Ilmainen turvallinen nopea WiFi, vaatii koodin.

Laitteessa on pesukone / kuivausrumpu, kattotuuletin, AC makuuhuoneessa, laattalattia, matto makuuhuoneessa, asensimme juuri uuden 43 tuuman Smart TV: n ja Blu-Ray DVD -soittimen, heidän myös on televisio makuuhuoneessa Astianpesukone vaihdettiin, siellä on runsaasti pannuja, astioita, Keurig-kahvinkeitin sekä tavallinen kahvinkeitin, uusi kiertoilmauuni, leivänpaahdin, muoviastiat uima-altaan vieressä syömistä / juomista varten. Uusi torni-tuuletin makuuhuoneeseen. Kylpyhuone uudistettiin kokonaan syyskuussa 2018, uusi laatta-suihku, turhamaisuus, peili ja valot.


Syötä ateriasi lanai-pöydällä ja tuolilla ja nauti merinäköalalla. Ympäröivät trooppiset kasvit tarjoavat yksityisyyttä. Tai minulla on tarjottimia, joilla voit viedä ruokasi BBQ-alueelle. Lanailla on kattotuuletin ja valo, jotta voit nauttia illasta ulkona.

Tarjoamme rantatuoleja, jäähdyttimiä, rantapyyhkeitä, boogie-lautoja, rantalaukkua, snorklauseviä ja -naamioita, (ei vesikengät) rantavarjo, hiustenkuivaaja, tennismailat, silitysrauta, ensiapupakkaus.

Great stay

The condo was great, very well equipped with everything we needed for a 5-day stay. Great sunset views from the lounges in front of the pool. Contractors were restoring the building while we were there so there was noise during the day but not much of an issue since we were gone most of the day.

Great location

Needed to have a good cleaning by sliding door. Looked like a critter left some droppings behind. Floor fans need cleaning. Blew out dust so didn’t use. Housekeeper needs to do better. Liked the location and convenience of property amenities. Enjoyed watching the sunsets. We walked to one of the restaurants one evening down on Ali’i drive which was nice since it was only a mile away. Host was attentive and checked in on us. Liked the security of a gated community. Would stay there again.

Nice digs!

The owner was very communicative and helpful. She had lots of the little things needed for a stay-shaving cream, shampoo, garbage bags, toilet paper. You name it, it was there. Stayed for 3 weeks and could have packed only a carry on. Nice location for exploring the Kona Coast and for snorkeling. Would come back in a heartbeat!

A great place to stay

Claudia was an excellent host. Great communication. The condo had everything needed for a wonderful stay. You are steps away from a great snorkeling spot in front of the condo. The condo had a nice view of the ocean.

LOVE this Place!!!

Claudia’s ocean front complex is perfect!! Being able to wake up every morning to having breakfast on the lanai, is the best way to start a day! And in the evening, to sit out on the lanai and watch the stars, a great way to end the day! The location is perfect to downtown Kona which has so many great restaurants! The pool and hot tub are amazing. The chairs out to watch the waves, oh my! I think I’m in heaven!!! Claudia has you covered as well with all the amenities one could need! Beach towels, a cooler, plates and utensils, condiments. Everything was absolutely perfect! So glad we chose Claudia’s place for our Big Island Kona vacation! Would choose again and highly recommend!!!

Great time at the Kona Makai!

This place has a lovely feel to it! Handy ground level entry with a well equipped kitchen and numerous other amenities such as beach chairs, snorkel and bodysurf boards. Grounds and pool area offer many areas to sun and read or relax and the bbq's are great. People are very friendly here. Hope to be back next year.

Fantastic Location & Well Stocked Unit

We loved Kona Makai & Claudia’s unit. Great location in the complex - the 4th unit from the ocean! The unit is well stocked with everything you need. Comfortable bed, good quality linens & towels. Everything was in good working order. Overall the unit was clean (we’re very picky on cleanliness) but the ceiling fan blades were very dusty, the tiled floors need a good scrub, and the bedroom carpet needs a shampoo. Clearly, guests are not removing their shoes when they enter the unit. Claudia was able to accommodate our request for a late check out at no additional cost (thank you!), so we washed all the bedding and towels before leaving to help her cleaner out. We’ve travelled to Maui & Kauai many times and for the price, this is the nicest unit with the best location that we’ve stayed at. We will definitely stay in Claudia’s unit again and highly recommend it!

Comfortable Condo with Great Access to Ocean and Downtown Kona

We stayed here for the Ironman World Championship and loved the comforts of Claudia’s condo. Very quiet and full of amenities which made our stay in Kona most enjoyable. Great internet, tv, pool, hot tub, full kitchen with washer/dryer, comfy bed, parking, etc. We will definitely return to this condo next trip to Kona!

The Kona Makai is a beautiful property. The ocean views from this particular unit are wonderful. The owner was very easy to reach and kept in touch for all our questions throughout the stay.

Wonderful place to stay!

This condo was a perfect location to stay. It had the downtown Kona area close, but you also feel out of the chaos. Driving places isn’t bad from here. I think most things were 1-2 hours away (pretty normal on the island). Thanks for letting us stay, Claudia!

Lovely stay

My husband and I loved our stay here. The lanai is lovely - great views of the ocean, the pool and the gorgeous landscaping at the complex. The kitchen has everything needed to cook simple meals. Appreciated having beach chairs and umbrellas and snorkeling gear. Parking is good - always able to find a spot. There is AC only in the bedroom, on a timer. With ceiling and standalone fans, it’s easy to get airflow through the condo (even in August!) The complex itself is very quiet. Talking on a cell phone on the lanai is not allowed and there are many signs in public areas about courteous cell phone use. This was great for us but might not work for some. Our host is amazing - great communication. We definitely hope to come back!

Special Place, Well Loved

I’ve stayed at this property pretty much every year for quite a while now. It never gets old. The grounds are immaculate, and the pool & spa are very well maintained. The BBQ area is also well kept, but we had a little trouble getting two of the grills up to temp this trip. No idea why. But the friendly, social time spent grilling with new friends watching spectacular Kona sunsets…well, you can’t put a value on that! The unit we stayed in this trip was a first time for me. It was well equipped and maintained. The kitchen was well-outfitted (we like to cook so this is a plus for us), and overall the hosts had everything we were looking for in a cozy condo by the sea. Kona Makai is an older property, and some of its age is showing, but its a special place and we make allowances. Important to us is cleanliness and friendly surroundings. We got just what we wanted.

The condo was well stocked

The condo was well stocked. The cooler and blue ices was very useful. The kitchen was well stocked. Very clean and great view. I was very excited about the Keurig. Claudia stayed in touch and I appreciated that. I would highly recommend.

Great Time.

We had a wonderful time at Kona Makai. We have stayed in this group of condos several times. Our condo was on the first floor which made my husband happy. It was feel stock with all the items we needed. It had coolers and beach chairs for those trips to the beach. Working with Claudia was so pleasant.

Awesome Stay at Kona Makai

We cannot thank Claudia enough for letting us stay at her place. The pool and hot tub area was awesome and the condo was better than we expected! The condo was well equipped and had everything that we could have needed. We loved sitting out on the lanai and watching the sunset. Kona Makai is an easy 20 minute walk from town. If you don’t feel like walking there is also the trolley available. Claudia was quick to respond when we had questions and provided all the information we needed. We greatly appreciated it. We would definitely stay here again!

We have been coming to Kona for 20+ years, we are both avid scuba divers and also love to snorkel. This island is great for shore diving, plus there are several dive shops that have boats for those that like boat diving. We had looked for a condo in this complex for a long time and finally found the one we wanted. The unit has a great view of the ocean and the BBQ's are close, . The unit is stocked with just about anything you need to make meals.

The island of Hawaii is large and has a lot to see, you will need a car to get around, though some people have rented from us and just walked to town or taken the little trolley bus that goes by our condo on Alii Dr. everyday. There is a guide book in the unit that gives good directions to beaches and all the attractions that the Big Island has to offer. The volcano and all the tropical water falls are on the other side of the island.
