The house was built in 1950 by 2 great modernist architects, Le Corbusier (for the interior) and Jean Prouvé (for the airplane wing roof). It was classified as a historical monument in 1999 and has just been renovated in December 2023 to offer a more pleasant and relaxing stay to our guests.
It consists of 2 buildings on the same plot:
- the le Corbusier-Prouvé house, 200m² with a cathedral kitchen living room of 100-150m² and 3 double bedrooms with private bathrooms
- a house of 110m² (a former military barracks from the second world war), with 5 bedrooms and a living room / kitchen, 1 shower room and 1 bathroom
- a terrace in waxed concrete of about 250 m².
- a flat lawn of 3000 m².
The whole offers 18 very comfortable beds with sheets. There are also 2 sofa beds (without sheets)
The whole has been completely renovated (in the spirit of the buildings) in 2013. The house is isolated, on the edge of a small airfield, with a 180 degree view at 50km, on the valleys of the Meuse and the Moselle. Of course nobody lives in the house, and no other tenant will be present if you rent the house. So you will feel at home.
The house is located 20km from Metz and close to the A4 highway.
