Thyborön is located at the mouth of the Limfjord into the North Sea, so you are in close proximity to the sea and fjord. The town has its origins at the harbor and this is also where you will find most of the attractions, stores and restaurants. The whole family will enjoy a visit to Jyllands Akvariet, where you will be welcomed into a whimsical world beneath the surface of the water. Here you can pet a shark or hold a crow. There is the Snail House, the life's work of a man who decorated an entire house, inside and out, with millions of shells and mussels. The harbor is also home to the Naval War Museum, where you can get a good insight into the largest naval battle in world history, the "Battle of Jutland", which took place during the First World War, among other things. If you need a trip to the beach, just throw your towel over your shoulder and head down to the long white sandy beach, which invites you to play, relax and swim.
