Kuvaus
Lodge at Mayberry: Lomakylät 18 hehtaarin ja pieni järvi / lampi Blue Ridge Parkway Etelä Virginiassa. Lodge on 3 makuuhuonetta ja 3 kylpyhuonetta iso olohuone kaasu takka ja pelihuone alakerrassa kaasutakka. Nukkunut 9-12 vuodepaikkaa. Suuri autotalli pysäköintiin Moottoripyörät tai Pyörät ja muut pyydykset tuot loman.

Pyörä Virginia Creeper Trail, Galax Trail tai Blue Ridge Parkway. Mabry Mill ja ravintola on kaikkein kuvasi sivustoja koko Blue Ridge Parkway. Lautta Dan joen ja kokemus Zip Line lähistöllä. Perjantai-iltana Floyd, Country Store on täynnä tasainen arvoisesti ja bluegrass bändit muodostua kujilla ja kulmilla.

Great location, friendly hosts, good support, but....

We loved the location- right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close to plenty of sightseeing and activities.We hosted a family weekend with 4 couples and 3 kids. We enjoyed kayaking in the small pond, played games in the large yard, and had a barbeque on the patio. We thoroughly enjoyed the daytime activities. The sleeping arrangements were another story. Only the queen bedroom had privacy. All the other beds were in shared spaces. The pullout couches, as is the norm, were lumpy.The inside spaces were clean but outdated. There was an abundance of seating and conversation groupings.The outside spaces were dingy and somewhat unkept. We saw some wildlife- always a pleasure. With a littleTLC the place would be spectaular.

Perfect for family weekend

This was exactly what my family was looking for. We wanted a place to spend time together in the outdoors. We did catch and release fishing on the property and the kids caught tons of blue gill and even a few large mouth bass. The property had so much space for our easter egg hunt. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises on the back porch overlooking the water while drinking our morning coffee and sunsets in the evening sitting around the fire making s'mores. There are cute small towns nearby to explore and even a few historic areas on the parkway. We hope to stay at this property many times in the future.

Great Family Rental

This was the perfect rental for our family to get together. We all had plenty of room and the location was beautiful. We had fun fishing at the pond and our family was able to relax. Having a separate bathroom for each bedroom worked out wonderfully.

Didn’t want to leave!

This place was a real hidden gem. Honestly, did not want to leave. Really fit our family in its decor and ambiance. Home was very clean, more than enough room for members of a family to have their own space and a common area for gathering. The pond was an amazing addition and we enjoyed kayaking on it everyday. Kids enjoyed games in the yard and adults enjoyed walking the property and road for some leisurely exercise. We absolutely had an amazing time. No one who stays on this property should leave disappointed. Rest, fun, beauty, and perfect for a romantic retreat or a place where a family to slow things down to really enjoy what’s most important, each other. I will definately be staying here again.

Wonderful time!

House was in a great location and plenty big for 4 adults and two children. We fished in the pond and had long lost cousins over to visit! Weather was great!

Great Place with beautiful grounds!

We were there for three nights for a family reunion. The house is old with vintage furnishings. That being said, it was clean and well stocked. Appliances newish and all worked. One ding was black mold in the second bedroom bath ceiling. Beds were very good and comfortable. One other note: my 92 year old mother could not walk to the house. Had to drive her.

Just what we needed

Other than it being so cold/windy, we had a great time. It was clean & relaxing. The beds were comfortable and there was room for all 7 of us. Would recommend and stay here again. The water is gorgeous!

Beautiful Place

Me and my family loved it here. If you are looking for high speed internet this isn’t the place but we was looking for somewhere to disconnect & spend quality time together. Even with the storms that rolled in Saturday we still had a great time & enjoyed sitting on the sun porch and watching it. We will definitely be coming back again.

October stay Lodge at Mayberry

We had a great time! My family enjoyed the Townes dam for canoeing, went to Buffalo Mountain for hiking and played lots of croquet. The property is perfect for the size of our family, gives us lots of room for grand children! The only negative is there needs to be some light bulbs replaced to allow optimal lighting

Peaceful retreat

We had a lovely stay at the lodge at Mayberry. We loved the property! After taking hikes in the morning we would return to the property and play games in the afternoon. We played ping pong, disc golf and croquet. It was so much fun! The pantry was well stocked. Double ovens came in very handy. Had everything we needed for nice dinners. Would stay here again!

This property is well maintained and in a beautiful setting. We all had a wonderful time. There was enough space for everyone to find an area where they were comfortable. Our only concern was no keys for the house could be found so we had no access to the garage. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.

Great Property!!

This was our family’s second visit to this property in two years. Our family from WV and FL met here for family time and visiting our ancestors birthplace. I visited this area every year growing up and the Woody’s home made a perfect place to stay. My 8 year old great grandson loved fishing in the pond and caught enough fish both years for us to have a fish dinner. I’ve been renting vacation homes for 30 years and this is my “favorite “ place. Thank you Woody family for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful property again this year.

Peaceful Spot

Everything was accurate as listed. Beautiful little lake behind the house with fish, turtles and maybe an otter. We had turkeys, deer, songbirds and a couple of hawks visit regularly. Even saw a bear across the lake. Great location. Only drawback is distance from drive to house and across a rough sidewalk. Makes loading and unloading luggage and groceries very difficult for “older” adults. Owner does not allow vehicles on grass and provides no other means of transporting things from parking area to house.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this rental. It was plenty large enough for Myself, my husband, our two sons, and their wives and our 2 granddaughters...The house is very retro, ( in a good way) The bed that My husband and I slept on was very comfortable. My son, his wife, and their two girls, were in the room with two doubles and he wasn't so happy...may have just been personal preference...and My other son and his wife, were in the lower level and had no problem with the bottom double bunk, but did have some issues with allergies. My son is allergic to cats and I believe that was probably the problem. Allergies and all aside ...it is a wonderful property. Loved the Country store down the road...Very close to Meadows of Dan and the sweet little shopping area. A small Grocery store, a produce and what not store across the road with a deli and hand dipped Ice cream...Jane's Country Diner...which we didn't get to eat at...we were too late for breakfast one morning and never got a chance to try it after that...We traveled to Stuart and Floyd. Love this area!! My only real complaint was that the beautiful pond, which we weren't allowed to kayak, swim or paddleboard on was occupied with people from the neighboring house the entire time that we were there. They even swam right over to our shore. It made me feel like an intruder and not as able to enjoy sitting and having coffee outside like I would have liked. We let our granddaughter pretend fish off of the dock with a Disney princess pole..lol, but it was a shame to have such a nice amenity and not be able to use it, while clearly others could. I thought that that was misrepresented in the description, I assumed it was a private pond. You have a beautiful property, thank you for allowing us to spend some time here. Teresa.

Queit relaxing get away

Great location for visiting Mt. Airy and Stuart Va. Enjoyed fishing right from your back yard and our son loved the game room. Check in was a breeze. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare a meal dishes, utensils, spices etc. The town Meadows of Dan is just a gew miles away and has everything youd need if you forgot something. People in the area are really nice. We didnt want to leave.
