Ihanteellinen perhejuhliin, maailmanluokan hiihtoon ja kuivaa perhokalastusta, ratsastusta, villieläinten katselua, lumen liikkumista, pyöräilyä, golfia, jopa bob-kelkkailua ... lodge tuntuu kuin se olisi kansallisesi puistossa, joka on kaikki sinun! Hirvi- ja hirvenlaumat laiduntavat niityt joka päivä. Kiinteistö rajautuu Elk-jokeen, joka tarjoaa mailia maailmanluokan kuivaa perhokalastusta täysin yksityisyydellä ja kauniin kevätpurun virtauksena lodgen vieressä. Monet muut taimenta täynnä purot ovat lähellä.

Suuri huoneessa on suuri puuhella, jossa on paljon leikattuja polttopuita, foosball-pöytä ja antiikkityylinen soitin, jolla on hieno kokoelma vanhoja vinyylejä, piilotettu televisio, jossa on elokuvakokoelma, ja ulkopuolella oleva palokammio paahtamista varten vaahtokarkkeja kuunnellen hirven vatkaa.
Lodge on ihanteellisella paikalla päiväretkille ympäröiviin kansallispuistoihin, kuten Banffiin, Watertoniin ja Glacieriin, sekä maakuntapuistoihin, mukaan lukien Elk-järvet ja Rockies-korkeus.

Amazing get away!

We were looking for a get away where the property was unique and close to nature, with a hot tub/sauna/fire pit, with plenty to of spaces inside and out This was perfect!

we rented the property in March for a getaway. and the place is nothing if not exquisite from the beautiful mountain views drinking your morning coffee to relaxing in the hot tub durring a blizzard, or hearing the sounds of the mountain late at night. it was truly remarkable and cannot wait to return

World away

We loved the location. It was quiet and felt like a world away. The house was unique and comfortable.(the turntable was a blast from the past and a laugh for our kids). The house has everything you need and more. Will definitely try and get back there.

Beautiful and perfect setting for a retreat

The bugling elk and the show they put on with the back drop of fall leaves and mountains was breath taking. Everything you could possibly need is provided for and more. Enjoyed the hot tub under an almost full moon and brisk air. Cannot wait to return. Very glad Jason shares this property for others to enjoy.

Best Vacation Rental EVER!!

We love to travel and have stayed in hundreds of vacation rentals. Hands down the best rental we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. Super comfy beds, very well equipped kitchen, movie night every night in the barn, fishing on the river and our favorite watching elk from the hot tube. Seriously, this is the place you want to stay. We are a family of 10 ages 9-45. Kids loved it. Thank you cant wait to return.

Stunning Property

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here for our family Christmas. The weather was cold, but we had so much space in the lodge that we were never crowed and always cozy with the wood stove. The weather didn't stop us from going outside to explore. It was magical to sit in the hot tub with the snow falling. It's a perfect location if you have a large group. Thanks for sharing this beautiful property.

Elk River Lodge

Elk River Lodge did not disappoint! One of the nicest properties we have ever experienced. Jason was amazing throughout the whole process. The Lodge has every amenity you can think of. From the hot tub and sauna to the magnificent loft for movie viewing. Our family had a wonderful 3 night stay and would recommend this vacation property to anyone. Thank you Jason!

Fantastic Place

This is an absolutely fabulous piece of property. This is the second time we have rented this property for a fishing trip. We enjoyed every aspect of the house. Comfortable, spacious and clean with great wood burning fireplace and the added bonus of a foosball table. The six of us agreed that we would definitely book this again. We would find it hard to find such a better place to stay when in the Fernie area.

Returning to “The Ranch” for family fun!

Watching a flowing creek and Elk herds over coffee in the kitchen is a favourite peaceful time. Lots of room in this beautiful ranch style lodge. Family time over games, food, the hot tub and the horses are some of our favourite things. Highly recommend this peaceful eden. Just a short distance to the mountain makes it a perfect get away. Week of peace and solitude

Our family came up to reconnect with the surrounding beauty and solitude of what we thought this setting could offer us. We were not disappointed in the least amount and wish our stay could have lasted much much longer. It was more peaceful and beautiful than what we could have imagined. Thank you for letting us experience this wonderful setting and wonderful property with our family. We also appreciated the recommendations on the surrounding activities and guide services you suggested. They were all wonderful people and a wonderful time.

Most memorable stay with incredible scenery.

We booked the property for 4 night stay while fly fishing the Elk River out of Fernie. The property was outstanding. Super private with horses and mountains. Large herd of Elk crossing property 40 yards from kitchen window. What a great way to eat breakfast. Accomodations were very comfortable and house was extremely clean. We hired a chef for our meals and loved spending the evenings at the house after a long day on the river. Very comfortable on all accounts. Absolutely worth the drive from Fernie. We will be back!!!

50 year reunion Coast Guard Academy classmates 1976

Magical place. The perfect combination of comfort and nature. Party of 10; plenty of room; great amenities. Convenient town/shopping/activities.. We hiked, golfed, rafted, trail ride, fly fished. Local people were very friendly. We have done 4 of these reunions; this one was hands down the best. Owner was interested in us and our experience; extremely helpful from the beginning.. If you only have one trip left this is the place you have to go. Nothing short of a bucket list trip. Thanks Jason, we will never forget your Elk River Lodge.

The best place to stay in BC

Who could ask for more! The best views I have ever had at a VRBO property. A trout stream in the back yard, and mountains every way I looked. No crowds and yet town was five minutes away. Jason made all the stay arrangements easy, and Bill the manager took care of all our questions at the property. Close to Waterton, and cutthroats all around. Wonderful Family Get Away!!

Once again, a wonderful stay at the Ranch! We've stayed here two years in a row now for our annual Family Day long weekend ski trip in February and hope to be back. The house continues to undergo beautiful improvements by the Owner Jason and property manager Bill - their work is making this house feel like a home during our stay - cozy and warm. The view out of the large kitchen window is breath-taking (there is no better place to have your morning coffee on a cold day, unless you sit in the hot tub!). We saw many Elk this year, and even watched as they crossed our path on our walk down to the river. We would highly recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home, it has created memories we can share for years to come.

Fantastic, refreshing and revitalizing.

An amazing ranch perfectly placed in the meadows along the Elk River , 360 mountain views and trickling creeks outside your bedroom windows…..perfect! We were fortunate to see an abundance of wildlife on our daily fishing and hiking adventures. This was a perfect location for our family get together. An excellent very well stocked kitchen for cooking family dinners, and morning coffee while you watch the elk graze in the meadow out front! A large enough dining room and table to accommodate all. A fantastic bar, games room and lounge for the evenings. Very cozy bedrooms, honestly the best sleeps I have had in years! The barn theatre is pretty awesome, the kids absolutely loved this, especially if there was a little rain. (So did the adults, lol) If you are a fly fisherman, the location couldn’t be better. Some very nice pools and runs right on the property, and you can basically drift to Fernie and beyond! We will definitely be returning, and staying longer!

I read an article about the Canadian Rockies in National Geographic nearly 40 years ago and began a quest to one day have a ranch in the most beautiful place in North America. Now it's a dream come true for friends from all over the world. When not being rented it's frequently used to raise money at auction for charities to help people in need and conservation organizations. I'm an avid fly fisherman and conservationist who believes in protecting wild and beautiful places such as the Elk River Valley in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

The fishing, abundance and diversity of wildlife, scenery and setting on a historic ranch in the heart of the Canadian Rockies creates memories that last a lifetime. The dry fly fishing for wild cutthroat trout is world class and truly rare. The herds of elk that graze across the meadows is something most would only expect to see inside a national park, with crowds of people watching, but here we have it all to ourselves. The historic ranch provides a feeling of going back to a simpler place and time, clears the mind from distractions and stress of modern life and brings families and friends closer together.
