Todellinen Northwoodin mökki kokemus!

Mökkimme sijaitsee Big Chetacin järven itäpuolella, josta on kauniit näkymät järvelle ja upeat auringonlaskut. Big Chetac -järvi tunnetaan kalastuksestaan ja veden virkistysmahdollisuuksistaan. Nauti kahvia aamulla näytön kuistilla ja kokko yöllä takanjärvellä järven vieressä. Mökissä on kaksi makuuhuonetta, kylpyhuone suihkulla, olohuone, jossa ulosvedettävä sohva ja puulämmitteinen takka, perhehuone, jossa puuhella ja täysin varustettu keittiö. Meillä on DirecTV / TV / DVD-soitin ja hyvä kokoelma elokuvia sekä kirjoja ja pelejä viihdettä varten silloin, kun voit vetää itsesi pois vedestä. Meillä on laituri veneesi tai hienoa kalastusta varten. Olemme sijaitsee 25 mailia pohjoiseen Rice Lakesta ja 20 minuuttia etelään kuuluisasta turistikohteesta Haywardista, WI. Tiellä on 4-pyöräisiä polkuja ja kaksi lähellä olevaa veneen laskua. Tämä on viihtyisä mökki perheen tai parin lomalle. Meillä on myös vuokrata ponttoni. Kysy jos olet kiinnostunut.

Can’t beat the lake views!

Lovely setting, comfortable cabin, great communication from hosts! Loved the screened in porch and sunsets were phenomenal. We have stayed at many rental properties over the years, and this was one of the only ones I didn’t feel like we needed to clean the kitchen/dishes and disinfect surfaces before settling in. Our two small dogs loved the place and watching the chipmunks. We rented the pontoon and enjoyed cruising, fishing, and channeling to Birch Lake. Didn’t have much luck fishing. Everything was as described on the listing so we knew it wasn’t going to be fancy. I was glad we read reviews to prepare us for the small shower. Yet, the main cabin and porch was charming and more spacious than expected. We fell in love with the lake and Birchwood. Hope to make it back!

A wonderful little cabin!

Despite the fact that i ended up on crutches 2 days before our trip, it was a wonderful stay and we enjoyed every minute of it. The pontoon was awesome and we spent a great deal of time on the water. The cabin was clean and cozy. Would definitely return!

Great time

Had a wonderful time. Very relaxing and stress free. Caught more fish than we could possibly keep. We ended up catching and releasing most. We would highly recommend this cabin if you want a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Can’t forget the wildlife. Bald eagles above and deer everywhere.

Nice cabin

Nice location on the lake .was cold and rainy most of the week, so gas fireplace was great We rented the pontoon, but because of the weather didn't use it much. Fishing was tuff but we had good luck off the dock. We caught bluegill , bass ,perch, crappie and northern pike from the dock

Cabin getaway

My wife and I loved our stay along with our dog. It was a peaceful relaxing cabin on a terrific lake. Lots of fish caught and everything available with the stay. We very much appreciated our time and would love to be back !

Clean, quiet, well set up cabin

Very clean and has everything you need! Loved the screen porch so much we are going to add one to our home. The whole place has a nice open feel. Nice grill and appliances. Was a quiet week on the lake which was exactly what we wanted. Fishing was enough to keep you interested but could have been better.,. Beds were comfortable. Awesome place would definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing your cabin Ryan and Mary!

Nice getaway with a great view of lake

Definite rustic cabin, with great view of lake from deck, kitchen nice to work in with use of grill is handy. Used the pontoon that was available but fishing was not very good while there. Downfall for us was the availability of any wi-fi or phone use which we needed, and the size of bathroom/shower is very small. We rode our ATV a lot on the local trails which was great fun.

Peaceful Getaway

We truly enjoyed our week on Lake Chetak. The location was very quiet and very peaceful and the Eagles were absolutely gorgeous. When we were not touring the lake on the Pontoon, we spent most of our time relaxing on the very peaceful screened porch or enjoying a nice bonfire. My only wish is that the cabin had Wifi. That said, we plan on returning.

Nice peaceful setting Good access to lake The fish cleaning station was a plus. Cozy bedroom. Kitchen and eating area very workable. Loved Lake Chetac. Thanks for the pleasant stay.

Family Fun

This cabin was just what we wanted as a family! This property checked all of our boxes. It was great that we could rent a boat and have our four legged family member join us. We had perfect weather with beautiful sunsets. We had great fishing off the dock. The screened in porch was so nice to enjoy all day long. Our dog Lily lived her best life that week at the cabin.

Beautiful property in peaceful surroundings

We had a wonderful and relaxing week. Loved the screened porch patio and enjoyed breakfast and dinner overlooking the lake. Loved the eagles. The only downside is the size of the shower, so tiny. Loved the pontoon, worth every penny. Thanks Mary & Ryan

Rustic cabin

We spent a week with the in-laws. Our days were filled with breakfast on the screen porch, fishing from the pier, pontooning and evening fires. The bathroom was a little small, the lighting a little dark, but we enjoyed every minute of it.

Cabin with a great screened porch

If you are planning to just look out at the lake and enjoy nature then this cabin will work well. We saw deer every day. Eagles landed in the trees out front every day. The sunset from the porch is incredible. If you are planning a fishing trip, then this cabin will probably work just fine. If you want to enjoy the sunshine and the water then you may be disappointed. For the most part, the only sunshine is on the side of the hill, a small portion of the deck or the very end the dock. The lake in front of this cabin is green and weedy. To swim, or for any water sports, you need to go to the center of the lake. Also, carefully consider that you are paying for a cabin with no cell phone coverage and no Internet. Not sure why the cabin does not have Internet since some of the neighboring cabins do.

Warm and cozy!

I wanted a place to stay over New Years and my requirements were a cabin on a lake and a fireplace, this cabin had both plus a wood burning stove. Snow was expected so I asked if I could check in early and the owners mot only allowed that, they had the fireplace and stove going so when I walked in, I was greeted with a toasty and cozy cabin. The cabin is about 15 minutes outside of Birchwood and it is a beautiful drive. I would love to come back in summer and use the screened in porch and deck.

Excellent cabin on the lake

Great cabin that can be utilized throughout the seasons. We happened to come during the start of the colder portion of the year, but it was great with the cozy wood burning stove. Very nice location of the lake. Overall, great property! Highly recommended staying here and enjoying this location. Also, the hosts Ryan and Mary took safe Covid precautions all around, great check-in process, and were very communicative. Highly recommend staying here!

Awesome cabin!

The owners have an awesome cabin and property and keep it up meticulously! So clean! Nice personal touches. They really do a great job offering a nice vacation experience here. This was our second time staying here. Great layout, plenty of space for 2-4 (or possibly more) people, and pets allowed so we got to bring our little doggie! Nice two decks - one enclosed and one open. Both are handy to have access to, you can choose which one you want depending on the temperature! Saw deer in the yard right outside the cabin - very cool! Loved having the gas fireplace since we don't have one where we live... and it was very cold outside while we were there, so the "quaintness" and "warmth" were much appreciated! Thank you for an awesome stay! We definitely recommend this terrific cabin!

A slice of colorful heaven

We have stayed at this property three years in a row and it is a phenomenal experience. The owners are great. The property is serene, beautiful and private. The water, the trees, the wildlife and the activities of going on a pontoon, walking our dogs, grilling, sleeping late to the crisp fresh air and being able to spend quality time with our pets and family was divine. Would recommend this highly to everyone.

Cozy cabin on the lake

I rented the cabin the week of Labor Day with my 3 adult children. We wanted a getaway where we could get a change of scenery and feel safe during COVID. This was everything we hoped for. Felt away from the crowd but close enough to essentials. Well appointed Kitchen, great screened porch with lovely lake views. Comfy furniture and bedding. It turned out colder than we anticipated, but we had a great time cooking, playing games, etc. was a plus to be able to bring the dog. Great time in a great location!

Great Family Vacation!

The cabin was clean and comfortable, with a good view of the lake. I thought the VRBO listing was accurate. The area was quiet even though there were quite a few resorts, cabins and houses on the lake. We had good weather so the screen porch was a great extra space. The water was pretty green and fishing was slow. The yard between the cabin and the lake was a grassy slope (kinda steep, no steps) and you can’t really go in the water from shore(just good information to have). Loved the fire pit is down by the water, and there is a decent dock that was convenient if you bring a boat. If you rely on your cellphone, service was poor (and no wifi) but better at the end of the dock or out on the lake(again just good information to have).

We are elementary school teachers who love the Northwoods lifestyle. We both grew up in Wisconsin and love to be near the water for relaxation and recreation. We love offering our Birchwood cabin for others to enjoy. We have met so many wonderful people from WI, MI, MN, IL, IA and Canada.

When looking for a cabin, we wanted a lakeside, west-facing, charming, rustic, cozy cabin experience. We believe we found it. Our cabin is cedar sided, has knotty pine interior, and a large screened-in porch with a magnificent view of the lake. We wanted a recreational but quiet lake and we believe we found that in Big Lake Chetac.
