Iloa charmikas Crescent Moon Cottage, täysin uusittu 1940-luvun mökki historiallisella alueella, vain korttelin päässä kaikesta toiminnasta keskustassa Mt. Dora. Nauti rentouttavasta lomasta, täysin kalustetussa 2 makuuhuoneessa, yksi kylpyamme ja 1100 m²: n mökki. Aloita päiväsi kupin kahvia ihana mukana auringon kuisti tai yksityinen takaisin patio. Venytä jalat kuusi korttelin kävelymatka kaupungin keskustasta. Selaa viehättäviä putiikkeja ja kauppoja, lounaan yksi monista kahviloita, baareja ja ravintoloita. Katso naapureita kävellä penkillä Donnelly Parkissa, katsella auringonlaskua järven yli Mt. Dora-majakka, tai leikkiä Ice House -teatterissa.
Nälkäinen? Valmista gourmet-ateria täysin varustetussa keittiössä ja tarjoile sitä vintage-tyylisessä ruokasalissa. Sitten kun ilta tuulet alas, kodikas jopa hyvän kirjan overstuffed tuoli olohuoneessa. Mökki on kytkettynä kaapelilla ja Wi-Fi-yhteydellä.

Quaint Little Place

Check in was very easy and communication was excellent. Everything was in working order and all the essentials were provided. A short walk to downtown made this a great place to stay. Would recommend for any family!

We had a fabulous stay. Everything was very clean and it was a great location. The only drawback was some road noise but other than that I totally recommend this cottage.

Cute place but needs attention

While visiting family, a friend and I stayed at this property for five nights. Be aware that it’s on the corner of a fairly busy intersection. It’s a cute place with some fun decor. The beds were comfortable and all bedding was crisp and clean, and there was an ample supply of nice bath towels and wash cloths. The home was clean enough but it seems to have been some time since it had a really thorough cleaning.The kitchen was rather sparsely stocked, the lazy Susan cupboard was broken, and the supplied frying pans should have been replaced some ago. When I contacted the owner regarding a couple of issues, she was responsive and came over quickly to check things out.

Absolutely perfect

This property and our host were absolutely wonderful. The cottage is so well decorated, meticulously clean, cozy, and close to downtown. I honestly can't think of any better way to spend time in Mount Dora. We will be back!

The Best!

Great location, just a few blocks from downtown, everything was clean, neat and the home had all you needed. Beds were comfy and the yard had a cute patio are as well. Loved the decor, very cozy! Only downside were the steps to go into the house. If you need help walking or have bad knees or hips it could be a problem for you. I would absolutely stay here again@

Cute house

This house was so cute! It iwas very clean & for the size it had a great amount of dishes, towels etc. We loved the location. It is an easy walk to downtown Mount Dora.

Quaint Cottage with a Sophisticated Flare

The cottage is nicely decorated and organized with all of the makings for a cozy and enjoyable stay. Walking distance to 90% of our activities in the Mount Dora area. Dining downtown with no need for parking was awesome! Driveway accommodates multiple vehicles and antique markets and convenience stores are within a short drive's distance.

Perfect weekend getaway for the girls..

It was the cutest little cottage. My favorite place to drink my coffee was in the side room off of the dining room. I loved all the old pieces of decor and furniture. Very nice location to downtown. We will definitely be back.

Awesome Stay

Property was in a great location - short walk to downtown. Property was very cutely decorated, welll stocked. Owners seemed to care that tenants enjoyed their stay having pamphlets of things to do, leaving a list of their favorite restaurants, etc. We had a great time and we were very comfortable.

Weekend Getaway

My wife and I live in Miami and visit Mt. Dora at least once a year. We normally stay at the Lakeside Inn but it was booked for the weekend we had planned. We found the Crescent Moon Cottage and we couldn't have been happier. The Location was walking distance from the shops and restaurants, the house was comfortable and nicer than we expected, and we got way more for our money than if we had stayed at a hotel. Overall we would highly recommend the cottage.

Cozy cottage!!

Brought my 80yr old mother to My Dora for a few days of eating well and shopping. The house was PERFECT! Love the way it was decorated. Beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works really well. It is located just minutes from the downtown area. Had no issues with communication or the check-in/out process. We are already looking to book our holiday stay! Cute place, excellent VRBO owners!

Upscale and classy cottage with all the extras.

Ms. Debbie did the most amazing job designing and decorating this cottage. The place could and should be in the Country Living magazine. It was a real treat to stay here with my girlfriends while we scrapbooked for a few days. Ms. Debbie thought of all the little touches one would need in their home and quietly incorporated them in to the cottage. There was absolutely nothing else we needed. I felt safe staying in the cottage and going on our morning walks around Mt. Dora. The town is quiet, cute, and quaint. I am telling all my friends about this place. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful Moms weekend

The Crescent Moon Cottage was a wonderful place to have a moms getaway. The cottage is beautifully decorated but still comfortable. We spent a good amount of time hanging out in the living room. There were plenty of comfortable beds for our party. It was so nice to have a kitchen to keep snacks and drinks. We even cooked breakfast one morning. The bathroom is nicely done but would benefit from some extra hooks or racks to hang the towels. We had an issue with not being able to connect to the WIFI when we arrived. Debbie and her husband came over and fixed it for us right away. They are really nice people. The cottage is in a great location. It was a quick walk downtown to the shops and restaurants. It was also a short drive to Reninger's. We truly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cottage and would thoroughly recommend it.

A gem of a cottage in Mount Dora

With family in the Mount Dora area, my husband and I frequent the area at least once, sometimes twice a year. While the town is quaint, it's hard to find rentals that aren't overdone with floral wallpaper & antiques, which in the past has caused us to stay further afield. However, the Crescent Moon Cottage manages to combine its historic past, with contemporary decor & modern touches. Being that we visited over Labor Day weekend, we were very appreciative of the central air-conditioning, which worked incredibly well. Although we didn't test the twin beds in the second bedroom, our master bed was very comfortable. Since it was only my husband and I staying at the cottage, we utilized the second bedroom to store our bags, leaving the master bedroom free of clutter. It was great to have that extra space that a hotel room doesn't typically provide. The bathroom was adorable with plenty of extra towels if we needed them & a fabulous shower. The kitchen was also well appointed with the essentials. The water in the fridge & the coffee / creamers available were appreciated for our first morning before we had the opportunity to go to the grocery store. The cottage is very spacious for a couple, providing ample areas to relax. While we didn't utilize it, there is a stack-able washer and dryer in the cottage which could be very convenient for a longer stay or for a family travelling with children. One of the most noticeable aspects of this cottage is how clean it is and how well stocked Debbie keeps it. There were plenty of paper towels in the kitchen, trash bags under the sink, tissues in both bedrooms etc. It's evident that Debbie is very customer service focused and provides a high level of service to her guests. One of the other things that I was impressed with was that Debbie uses a number that is personal to you as the combination to lock & unlock the front door. Usually when you rent a house, you have to remember the owner's combination, making leaving or returning that much more cumbersome. This seems like a small detail, but it was something that I really appreciated. The location of the cottage is excellent, since it's just 6 blocks from downtown Mount Dora. Since the cottage is situated on the corner of 11th and Donnelly, there is a fair amount of traffic during the day, however virtually none at night, so was no disturbance to us. We loved the cottage & would highly recommend it!

We had a fantastic stay in Mt Dora. The property was exactly as described and in a perfect location. The house was very comfortable and full of lovely amenities. Debbie was incredibly responsive with communications and very helpful with local recommendations. Highly recommend this property.

Our stay at the Crescent Moon Cottage was a delight and the second we opened the door we were amazed! This cottage was something you would see out of Better Homes and Gardens, it was beautiful and charming! It was clean, smelled good and all the details were there to make our first visit to Mount Dora perfect. Check in was easy, instructions to the property were simple, advice on local business/restaurants were provided, the list goes on! You can tell that a lot of thoughtfulness has been put in place, to make this cottage a relaxing and comfortable place to stay for all guests. It was also great to be walking distance to the main downtown area. I’m happy I chose The Crescent Moon Cottage and look forward to staying there again!

Cute cottage home

The home is so cute and clean and they provide all the necessities for a short stay. The home was completely renovated and has a welcoming and comfortable feel. If you want to be close to everything in Mount Dora, this is a great location. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs because there are loud delivery trucks traveling early into Mount Dora and the walls are thin.

Lovely Home!

This home was truly lovely. It is an older home, but beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is an out door area with table if you like to sit outdoors. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely bathroom. It was close to downtown MT Dora. We walked to restaurants and shopping. We are in our 70s. Easy walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Although my husband and I grew up in Central New Jersey, we raised our three children in South Florida. For a period of time, the family was spread along the east coast from Florida to Connecticut. It wasn't until 2012, when the Navy transferred my son to Cape Canaveral, that we thought, this would be the perfect opportunity to re-locate to Central Florida. My youngest daughter was living in Orlando with her husband, and was attending UCF at the time. So, in December of that year, my husband and I moved from New Jersey to Eustis, FL and now, we enjoy our family being within driving distance of one another.

Since moving to Lake County we have fallen in love with the area especially, Mt Dora, just one town over. We love that there is always something happening on the 'Mount', from the festivals, to parades and races.

Miksi majoittaja valitsi tämän majoituspaikan

Since Mt. Dora fits our lifestyle, we decided it would be our retirement town. So a year or so ago, we started wandering the streets looking for the perfect neighborhood to purchase a retirement home. We wanted a small mid-century home in the Historic District, on the parade route, close to town, that provided cottage style living.

Last summer we found the perfect house sooner than we expected; the Crescent Moon Cottage. Although we didn't expect to buy our retirement home at this time, we decided it was exactly what we were looking for and we'd probably never get another opportunity to purchase it.

So in April 2014 we became the proud owners of the Crescent Moon Cottage.

Every time I enter the Crescent Moon Cottage, a sense of calm comes over me. I'm not sure if it's the morning sun streaming in, or the coziness and comfort of the sun porch, or maybe the beautiful wood floors reminding me of the house I grew up in, all I know is, when I'm there, I'm home. And you will be too.
