We had a fantastic stay at Michael’s home. Wish we had stayed longer to enjoy it more along with the Aptos beaches! Michael is the perfect host - terrifically responsive and his place is spotless.

Great stay

We booked this place for a wedding at Seascape. Michael was very accommodating and always available for any questions. The home was clean and well cared for, with everything clearly labeled and easy to find. Will definitely be back.

Just as nice as can be

All I can say is that this place is beautiful in every way. Very clean and comfortable, very nicely decorated, nice view and amazing back garden and swim hot tub. I can't think of any way it could possibly be any better, Michael's figured out everything perfectly. It is an absolute honor to have stayed there.

Very comfortable and relaxing!

If there's such a thing as a 'Hosting Award', Michael Taravella should get one! His attention to detail in the description of his property gets even better before, during and after your stay. He is such a delight and so considerate to take the time to chat by phone before we arrived and made it easy to understand all aspects of the house. The house is so immaculate and set up like a 5-star resort where you can enjoy top of the line cooking appliances, utensils, bedding. etc. The location is great; easy getting to Santa Cruz, Capitola, etc. Thank you, Michael, for being so kind and communitive. Too many house rules without flexibility and a/c only in high ceiling room; house was way too hot

Potential for enjoyment with location, garden and well stocked kitchen; but owner identified problem with very little proof (he said lots of fresh blood on bedding but showed photo with only few streaks of dry blood. We hadn't seen it when stripping bed and contested; also accused us of sand in hot tub and not showering before hot tub when we all had; he kept part of deposit anyway. Finally, price for weekend was higher than price on website when I booked it. Very disappointed in how we were treated.

Wonderful house with remarkable gardens

The house size was just right for two families with one child each. The very mature apple tree we could easily access from the deck was fun. The swim spa was a necessity for keeping the kids happy, especially when the weather was cold and overcast like it was when we were there. The owner was responsive when I contacted him with questions and concerns. He was friendly and seemed eager to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The beds were comfortable. We could not see the ocean from the house at any point in our stay because it was so overcast. We had to get in a car to go to any beach. Our activities while staying in the house were 3 days of Santa Cruz beach Boardwalk (a pleasant 20 minute drive) and 2 days of beach (one in Aptos and the other in Capitola). We did the same trip last summer and stayed in a house that was 1.5k more to rent for the same period. That house was in Santa Cruz across the street from a beach. Trade offs. Overall, we were pleased with this property and would stay again.

AMAZING house and neighborhood! We LOVED everything about our stay and will be back!

This home was amazing! I chose it because of its great reviews and it’s swim spa. When we got to the house we were delighted to see how clean and well kept the home was. It was so clean and bright. We loved having the 2 downstairs bedrooms for the kids. They could have their own space and upstairs was so quiet. The owners thought of everything their guests would need and we felt so comfortable. We walked the lovely neighborhood at night and the neighbors were all so kind. The back yard is gorgeous and you truly felt like you were in a sanctuary. We all enjoyed watching the hummingbirds get their juice and flutter around all day. The upper deck has a beautiful view and we hung out there quite a bit in the evening. It didn’t not matter than it rained the first night, the swim spa was perfect and the stars were beautiful. We have stayed in Aptos many times and different vrbo’s But this house takes the cake for our family. Thank you so much Michael for sharing your lovely gem of a home and allowing us to make such wonderful memories there. We will be back!! â˜ș Michael, your communication with us was also so great, you texted us to let us know they the house was ready at 11:00 am instead of the normal 3:00 pm check in time and we were thrilled.

Incredible and quiet summer stay

We’ve been all over the central coast for various holidays (including the resort at seascape down the road) and this was by far the best lodging experience we’ve ever had. Michael was very friendly and communicative, and the house was extremely clean and easy to manage/navigate. The beach is less than a mile away (walkable) and the neighborhood itself is very nice to stroll around. We look forward to returning when we can!

Very comfortable house in Aptos CA

A very nice Santa Cruz adjacent house walking distances to a small outdoor mall in a very quiet neighborhood. I would certainly recommend this to friends.

Great vacation getaway

The rental is amazing. All the great amenities in rental and then some. Great ocean view. Centrally located so you are just a couple of miles from Capitola and Santa Cruz. Sea Cliff beach is beautiful. The communication with the owner was great. He made everything so easy and welcoming. We will definitely be returning for another vacation stay.

Comfortable place right near beaches

This place was very clean and comfortable. Great location, within walking distance of a beach, and a quick drive to other fun spots. The owner was very friendly and good with communication. The house is well stocked. The swim spa was really nice!

Beautiful home

Very clean and comfortable home, close to beaches and Santa Cruz. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Wish we had more time- would have liked to enjoy the swim spa and the garden!

Beautiful calm and quiet property that is super clean and comfortable. It was a perfect escape.

This property is worth visiting again. It’s close to the beach, has a great jacuzzi and it was a perfect escape from my busy life.

This was our second stay at this property and we will definitely be going back on a yearly basis!

This property is one of a kind that I believe everybody should experience at one point during their adventures in this beautiful state of California! My family and I love the kitchen and how well stocked everything is and it makes cooking together as a family of very enjoyable experience! The grounds put this property above and beyond any others! The swim spa is so therapeutic and relaxing at the end of the day that my brother and sister-in-law are planning to purchase one now!

Great Spot!

Spacious and clean 2 bedroom with lots of light and well stocked kitchen. Michael was great and took the time to walk me through check in and check out procedures. We enjoyed our stay and would love to go back!

Lovely house, enjoyable stay

This house in Aptos was just the right size and configuration for the four of us, with a master bedroom and the living areas all on one floor. One of our party has mobility problems, so we gave him and his wife the master suite while the two of us took the downstairs bedroom, bathroom and study. The kitchen was very well equipped, and we were able to cook meals without having to buy any extra kitchen gear, or sauces and spices, for that matter. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, about 3miles from Capitola and 10 from Santa Cruz, and has a good supermarket withing a five minute drive. Also two good restaurants, Sanderlings at the Seascape Resort, and Palapas, a Mexican restaurant, across the street from the Seascape. Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will return at some point...

Great stay

Beautiful property, very quiet, relaxing and everything we needed was at hand or easily accessible nearby. Michael was very communicative and directions for the stay were very clear.
