Excellent Condo Experience / Playa Vacation

The condo was clean and the images were accurate not just for the space, but the pool and common areas as well. Our host made sure we had all the information we needed and the staff was friendly and helpful. The Sabbia location is right in the middle of everything and the new supermarket around the corner was an unexpected bonus. Love to stay there again.

Clean, modern but really strict

This is an awesome place to stay at. The hosts were friendly and gave us many great tips on nearby places. Also, the condos were located in the heart of the city with shops, 5th street and Mamita's beach within walking distance. The only complaint that I have of this place is that the condo's rules are incredibly strict. They only allow guests with a wristband through the lobby with no posibility of inviting any friends over. The noise level after 10 pm is kept to a hush and absolutely no swimming in the pool area after that time either. No smoking or drinking is allowed near the pool area so a designated section with only two tables is available. If you violate any of these rules there is a $150 dollar fine. The place is great looking and to be fair, these rules have also kept the place looking spotless. Great for families but a little too strict for the younger crowd considering that you are in Playa del Carmen.

Fabulous property

My husband and I spent the winter of 2016 at the Sabbia.The property is very well kept and the staff will go out of their way to assist you in anything. The condos are spacious and have everything you could possibly need for your stay..I rented another unit from the owner,for friends of mine that had visited the Sabbia during their weeks vacation in PDC and decided that they too would like to rent in Sabbia . The was very gracious in helping my friends and I get it booked for next year..This condo is beautifully decorated, very clean, nicely situated in the complex with a nice size balcony ...The location of the complex is very good as it's 2 blocks from the famous 5th Ave and a few short blocks to the beach. It's in a short walking distance to major grocery stores such as Mega and Walmart. My husband and I love this complex and will be returning in November for 6 months..

Best pool in Playa del Carmen - recommend to everyone

We've been to other vacation rental condo complexes downtown Playa, so far this is the best one. The pool is amazing with two Jacuzzis on both sides of the pool, free Wi-Fi around the pool and in the condo. The best part was the ability to walk to everything - Mamitas and Kool Beach Clubs are excellent, the 5th Avenue is only one block away. We went for breakfast at Chez Celine - great French bakery and restaurant. There is 24hr concierge at the condo, gym, game area. The building has elevators, which is a great plus for the Canadian and American retirees who frequent this complex in the winter months. Very well maintained condo with a lovely terrace and great patio furniture. Already recommended to all my friends. Will come back again.

Great place to stay

Sabbia was a great place to stay. Me and two of my girlfriends stayed there and had plenty of room to spread out. It was close to 5th Ave, which is where all the action is. It has a nice pool and is about a half mile to the beach. Sabbia was very clean and it was quiet when we were there. The gentleman that was supposed to be helping with any issue that may arise was nowhere to be found however. I will definitely stay there again and am hoping to do so in the next couple of months.

Disappointment at Sabia rental in Playa de Carmen

Sheets were crusty, unclean and unwashed. Disgusting! They got us different ones but by that point my wife was hardly willing to sleep on the bed so I bought us our own sheets from Walmart. They never told me I needed a cash deposit for the condo upon arrival. Condo needs a deep cleaning. Repairs aren't being done. Phone jack was pulled out of wall. Towel rack was pulled out of wall. Tiles were cracked in the shower. Etc... They messed up my stay dates and condo was unavailable for our first night. So before we arrived they asked if we would stay in the penthouse to make it up to us. I told them that would be fine. Upon arrival the penthouse was conveniently not available and they put us in some other regular condo then we had to move the next day. I specifically asked if there was a dryer and they told me there was but there wasn't. The day we had to move condos they wanted me to switch at 2pm. I told them we had tickets for the park Xcaret that day and I couldn't do it at 2pm. He said well can't you get them to let you switch days at the park. He wanted me to change our whole day to accommodate them and their scheduling error. Both showers had no water pressure. You couldn't hardly use them. My brother had another condo on the third floor just like us but he had great water pressure. On a positive note the complex is very nice and comfortable and the two other condos I saw were very nice and well maintained. Luckily for us we weren't in our condo much. For what we paid for the week I just wanted clean sheets and a shower that works. I don't think that is too much to ask for but in this case I guess it was.
