Pristine näkymä ja vain muutaman askeleen päässä kalastuksesta aivan kuuluisan Kenai-joen rannasta. Tämä ominaisuus sijaitsee erittäin kätevästi Kenain niemimaan keskellä. Vain muutaman minuutin päässä Sterlingin pikkukaupungista, kuten ravintoloista, elintarvikkeista jne. Tämä ominaisuus on erinomainen tukikohta koko Alaskan lomallesi. Meidän yhden makuuhuoneen loma-asunnolla (Bears Den) on majoitus 4-5 hengelle. Loma-asunnossa on queen-size-vuode ja 2 erillistä kerrossänkyä. Erittäin mukava sohva ja sängynpeti tarvittaessa tarpeidesi mukaan.

Meillä on myös meidän WOLF DEN CABIN / BUNK HOUSE vain askelta kaukaa riemuvoittoa suuri perhe tai osapuoli. Näissä makuutiloissa on kaunis näkymä Kenai-joelle, vain 25 metrin päässä meidän Bears Denista, joka nukkuu 2 tai 3 ylimääräistä vierasta. Tämä Wolf Den ei ole käytettävissä ilman Bears Denia. Tämä johtuu siitä, että Wolf Den on kuiva mökki ilman kylpyä tai pesuallas. Se on lämmin, mukava ja hiljattain remontoitu knotty mänty sisustus ja kapteeni kaksi erillistä vuodetta. Siinä on myös oma jääkaappi ja mikroaaltouuni sekä pöytä ja tuolit pelejä ja snacking. WI-FI, TV ja INTERNET ovat käytettävissä.

Work vacation

We stayed here while we worked on building our house for a little over a week. Was a great place to relax in the evenings. Really enjoyed the property, lots to do and the hosts were great!

An awesome week in the Bears Den

Our group of fishing buddies has stayed in the Bears Den many times over the past several years and we've never been disappointed. Ron and Katia are wonderful hosts who do everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked and the view from the deck is fantastic. The property is located right on the Kenai River with easy access to the water. The topper is the enclosed gazebo with lots of seating and the best fire pit anywhere! Highly recommend!

Perfect set-up on the river with very nice hosts

Ron and Katya have thought of everything! The place was immaculate and the location on the river was amazing. We especially enjoyed the stacked firewood and fire pits late each evening. It was very clean and welcoming! We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing view, amazing hosts

Ron and Katya have thought of everything and are the perfect hosts. They go above and beyond for their guests to make sure they have the best vacation possible. Accommodations were very clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The property has an amazing view, and the fire pit makes a perfect place to sit and relax in the evenings. Great property wonderful location

We stayed in the Bears Den and wolf den (bunk house), which was perfect for our teenage boys. Wonderful view of the river, great platforms for fishing and fishing equipment was provided by Ron which was great. The fishing at the property was a little slow while we there (timing) but Ron told us spots to go to catch fish. Ron really knows the area and is a great host! Can't wait to get back to the area and stay again.

The best VRBO ever !

We stay frequently in VRBO properties. This is by far the best. Ron and Katia have thought of everything to make this a great place to vacation. From the friendly greeting by them, the comfortable bed, the plush towels to the unique decorum.. This is a great place... Also,the view from your front area is fabulous... AHMAZING.

There aren’t words enough to describe this piece of paradise - and the hospitality that comes with it. This was our first trip to Alaska for fishing and Ron made sure we were well aware of our options, timing for booking adventures, etc. I honestly have never met hosts that offered so much for a stay. The accommodations were perfect - and such a gorgeous setting. We are hoping we will make it back - and this is where we’ll stay!

Loves our stay!

Ron is a great host! He met us upon arrival to show us around the property. The bears den was comfortable and had everything we could have needed. Down to laundry detergent. There were poles available to fish off the docks on the property. He even helped coordinate an excursion for us. Thank you for making our anniversary trip so enjoyable!

Best fishing on the Kenai

From the moment I booked our reservation at our perfect little Bear Den our host Ron was incredibly helpful.. His knowledge of the area allowed us the best possible experience in this fishing mecca of Alaska. And our best catching ended up being right in front of us off his docks with his expertise in a new technique! The accommodations were perfect with everything we could possibly need...and then some! I hope to return again and spend more time exploring this amazing area!

Perfect location with fantastic accommodations!!

The owner of the property exceeded our expectations in every way. Ron's knowledge of the area and contacts in the community made booking those last minute fishing trips a breeze. Additionally, the onsite outfitter equipment room provided those odds and ends that we never even thought to bring. The accommodations were well stocked and very comfortable. Cooking fresh salmon over an open fire while sitting by the river is about as perfect as it can get. Thanks again for making a great vacation even better!!!

Beautiful property and exceptional host!

My husband, 1 year old son and I had the best time here. The condo not only had everything we needed and more, it was very clean, access to fishing and various firepits, but the host Ron was absolutely exceptional. He helped my husband and I with fishing tips, equipment and locations on the Kenai River. His friendliness was contagious. We will absolutely come back here again and recommend to friends that visit Sterling. 5+ STARS!

A piece of heaven on the Kenai

This trip was our second stay at Eagles Nest and we enjoyed it even more the second time around. We stayed in 2016 and again this year. The owners have made so many improvements including an awesome fire pit pavilion that is mosquito proof and can seat two dozen people comfortably. WOW. It was amazing. Ron is so attentive and cares for the property so well! I swear it was spotless. My wife was so impressed with how clean it was. Thanks to Ron and Katya for another great stay. See you again soon!

Wanna Be Alaskan! But always a Floridian!

Can’t say enough… we loved this little cabin! Everything you need to reset and relax. Beautifully well kept grounds with so many thoughtful amenities. Well appointed kitchen and cabin that is exceptionally clean. Beautiful view of the Kenai river front with eagles flying by every single night. Multiple fire pits to gather around after your day’s adventures. Close to travel to many main points of interest or just completely unwind. Incredible host who truly takes pride in his property and was so helpful with our inquiries about our daily adventures. Ron you’re truly one of a kind and we were so happy to have meet you and stayed at your little cabin. Kevin, Queen Victoria and Caleb.

Beautiful property on Kenai River!

We had an amazing time living in Alaska and staying in Bears Den for two months during the winter. Ron and Katya are welcoming hosts. They ensured we were comfortable and had everything during our long winter stay. Bears Den, a one-bedroom cabin, worked out perfectly for us. Both of us worked remotely from the cabin. The Internet connection was reliable, and we had no outages during our stay. The kitchen in the cabin is small, but it was convenient and had everything for us to cook dinner almost every day. It was warm and cozy inside the Bears Den during cold winter nights. Eagle’s Eye property is located within walking distance of a local supermarket. This was very convenient when we ran out of ingredients for breakfast or dinner and did not need to drive to Soldotna. The best part of Bears Den is the view. It was calming and meditating to look at the half-frozen Kenai River with Bold Eagles flying back and forth over it. We did not want to leave and can’t wait to return there again.

This is one Alaskan lodge you don't want to pass up! Ron & Katya have been outstanding hosts and the property has fit all needs! We were in a interesting situation needing to quickly last minute find a stay for our workers and Ron & Katya made that happen. They have gone above and beyond to ensure the crew is well taken care of. It has made this a very enjoyable stay for the crew! 10/10 would recommend you check this property out for your next Sterling stay!

Celebrating a quarter of a century of marriage, we've been incredibly fortunate to find and make our home on this prime piece of Kenai River property, embodying the essence of the Alaskan spirit we've grown to cherish deeply.

Our path to this beautiful estate wasn't swift; it was a deliberate quest that spanned over a decade. We searched tirelessly across the Kenai Peninsula for a place that felt like it was truly meant for us—a place where we could envision spending our golden years. This pursuit was driven by more than just the desire for a scenic backdrop; it was about finding a location that resonated with our souls, where the serene beauty of nature and the vibrant wildlife could serve as daily reminders of life's incredible wonders.

Having now called this place home for so many years, we reflect on our decision with no regrets, only gratitude. Our life here, on the brink of retirement, is everything we hoped for and more. As we continue to build our life here, each day is a new chapter in our ongoing adventure in Alaska. Our love for this place and for each other only deepens with time, solidifying our belief that we found the perfect spot to spend our forever in the majestic wilds of the Kenai Peninsula.

This is our retirement property that we have been working for our entire adult lives. We have been Alaskans for 45 years and just love the Kenai Peninsula. We call it a "Little Piece of Heaven". This property is one of the oldest established fishing spots on the Kenai River from back in the days of the Russian Trade. There still exists the old Russian Trail Head on our property. We wanted to have a great location for fishing. And this is where so much of the early Kenai River fishing started.

We have almost 2 acres of prime land to enjoy year round. It was love at first site here with my wife and I. I still remember the day we first set eyes on this property. A lone Eagle greeted us right in front of our picture window and it talked loudly for several minutes. And now over the years we have been here we see why they love it here. Lots of food for them and wonderful conditions to mate and raise their young.
Our property has the perfect views of the Kenai River and all the mountains around us. Just the right amount of easy trail down to the fishing hole just in front of our home. There is a never ending life from the wilds of Alaska to see each day. We can see the King Salmon nesting and breaking water just in front and along our side of the river. Eagles galore about the area as well as so many other birds. There is always some thing to look at or do here. Not a dull life living here. It is relaxing though.
