The kitchen was fully equipped along with spices and oil. Full washer and dryer as well as laundry detergent. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very cozy. The location is close to fantastic hikes with lots of waterfalls. We highly recommend this home and will definitely stay here again.

The house was fantastic! Photos are accurate. Kitchen is very well equipped. Beds are comfortable. Everything was in good working order. The owner was very good with communication. We spent most of our time while we were home on the deck or in the Mountain Room. Amenities are less than 10 mins away and a daily guest pass is 5/person. Pool, jacuzzi, mini golf, Fairfield Lake (kayaks, canoes, swimming). Gorges State Park is 15 mins away for hiking. Lake Glenville is about 30 mins away. Ingles grocery store is about 15 mins. All very convenient!

Love the location of this house. A short drive to pool and cashiers. The porch is lovely and so is the family room with a beautiful view. Cozy and clean - everything a family would want for a mountain stay!

The Perfect 4th of July Weekend

We had the most amazing experience staying at Marshall’s property! From the moment we booked, Marshall was incredibly communicative, thoughtful, and kind. He provided so many helpful resources and recommendations—it’s clear he genuinely wants his guests to have the best possible experience.The house itself was clean, well maintained, and felt like a true home away from home. Every detail was considered—from the cozy furnishings to the kitchen stocked with coffee (we forgot to bring our stash!) and welcoming touches throughout. You can tell this home is well-loved and taken care of with pride.Marshall went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His hospitality and warmth made our trip even more special. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals, but this one truly stood out. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable, and thoughtful place to stay. I also left my wallet on the property and his wonderful cleaning staff took the time and effort to mail it back to me--I am still so relieved and grateful!Thank you, Marshall, for a fantastic experience!

Great stay!

We had a great time staying at this house, everything was clean and had everything we needed! Very close to hiking trails, we really enjoyed exploring the area. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions and was very accommodating! Will definitely stay again!

NOT at all wheelchair accessible as advertised.

The home is lovely and we made it work. However
 it is not at all wheelchair accessible!!! Not readily visible in the online photos - a big step up before the front door and several inches at the front door. At the end of the ramp is another big step up! The bedrooms are at the end of the hall and two had very high beds not accessible even with a transfer board. A large piece of furniture prevented me from even entering the master bedroom. One bedroom was situated around a hall curve and the rooms were not workable for a regular size manual wheelchair. I could access the hall bath but barely could roll in and back out. The toilet took some managing to use. I could not use the tub (and no shower spray attachment) so I had to lean way over the tub and use a cup to wash my hair and just sponge-bathe. I had to have assistance from firemen at one point to access the house before my portable ramp could be delivered. It’s a great home for all others though - nice view and location. Very disappointing for me but worked fine for all others. Even the older property manager had trouble getting up the step in the front and he can walk. We made it all work but sadly it just was difficult for me.

Peaceful mountain home

My family had the best time! It is so quiet in the neighborhood. Marshall was a great host! We played family games every night and enjoyed coffee in the mountain room every morning. We had the best stay and everything we needed was provided in the house! The guest before us left some condiments in the refrigerator, which came in very handy and saved us from having to buy any condiments! Our dog enjoyed running in the golf course. We will definitely be back to the Blackberry Cottage again for another stay!

Girls weekend

The home is beautiful with lots of woods and right on the golf course, it was very clean and had everything you needed. We saw deer every day roaming on the golf course, it was so beautiful. Marshall was great to work with, Even gave us a later check out. We will definitely will rent this house again.

Great home in a spectacular location

My mother, dog and I stayed here for a few days to enjoy the fall leaves and weather of the surrounding area. The house was comfortably furnished and lots of kitchen items provided. We loved the gorgeous deck with the mountain view and trees surrounding the home. Sunroom was amazing and when inside we enjoyed three walls of windows to continually take in the view. Would love to come back and stay again.

Annual summer trip to sapphire valley

We enjoyed our stay at this home. Location was awesome. Enjoyed sitting on the porch. Saw deer and a fox in the evening. We would definitely return again. Communication was the best and the supplies at the house were very nice

Mountain Lodge

The cabin is nicely appointed ; it is very dark inside, needs artificial light all day; the photos show a bright living room and kitchen, but that is not so ; the refrigerator was full of food and beverages therefor leaving lesser space for the guest; the kitchen cabinets were also full of stuff ; the location of the cabin is quite isolated and there is no place to walk with a dog except on the street ; for those reasons I shall not rent the house again,

Exceptional house and property

This house was exactly what we were looking for. We felt as if we were staying at the home of friends! You can tell that they are all about family. It is very quiet and comfortable. The communication with Marshall was outstanding, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. The home is extremely nice, clean, and very well-stocked with all the essentials. The view of the golf course and mountain across the way was so pretty and very relaxing to view from the wonderful “mountain room,” or the deck. We absolutely plan to return!

Family vacation

We arrived earlier than expected and Marshall accommodated us with no issues. The home was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Of course the mountain room was our favorite spot! We spent most of our time there playing the board games readily available. It was easy to feel right at home. Very grateful that we got to enjoy our time there and were hoping to visit again.

Worth the trip

Blackberry Cottage is just exactly what it says it is and more. What they don't tell you is that it is perched on a hill with a family room that fells like you are in a tree house. The house is well appointed with more amenities than other places I have rented. The host was quick to answer any questions. My family arrived from different locations to attend a wedding so our stay was rather short, but we all agreed we wished we had the time to extend our stay. Hope to visit again to explore this beautiful region.
