The cabin was well stocked with games, movies, and kitchen items to make our stay feel homey! We had 4 adults and 2 teenagers, and there was plenty of space. It was such a bonus to have access to a washer and dryer. What a great trip!

Snowmobile Trip

We drove out from Michigan and was our first time out here. Cameron gave us everything we needed, where to ride at, where to park, where the trails were, and some great restaurants too. House is perfectly located for snowmobiling. Only a 5-10 minute trail ride to Lionshead. Gayle who watches the property was fantastic, she checked in on us and she and her husband even pulled us out of the ditch one night. Great place and location, highly recommend!

Convenient to Yellowstone

Plenty of room- watch your head when getting up from bed on 2nd floor. Condiments and spices available were awesome. Oven heats slowly as noted in listing. However does need to be cleaned. Fire pit was great- used for 2 nights. Overall very good and comfortable

Ring in the new year!

Cameron was awesome and the communication was fantastic. The cabin is very cozy and well stocked. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The only downside of our stay was parking was a little tight for snowmobile trailers. Cameron made arrangements for us to park, a crossed the street in the managers driveway. I would recommend this property. Thank you, Cameron.

The property is very clean, spacious, well stocked and clearly cared for by the owner, who was easy to work with and checked in with us for anything needed.My wife and I hiked Yellowstone each day (10 minute drive to the West Entrance of the park). The house was a pleasure to come home to, especially sitting outside by the fire pit.We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property.

home base for Yellowstone visits

We had 4 nights at Moose Haven and enjoyed the confort of the cabin. The bathrooms are a bit tight but given the age of the cabin it makes sense. Be aware that the age also brings with it the standard creaking of boards when you walk around.Everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided, including a very well equiped kitchen (equipment and spices/condiments). The owner is very responsive and communicates great!

Yellowstone visit

This place worked perfectly for our family of 5 adults, 3 young children. It had everything we needed. Cameron was quick to respond to questions ahead of and during our visit to Yellowstone. There was room for kids to play outside as well as foosball in the basement. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend his home. Thank you!

Great cabin

Cabin was exactly what was listed. It was clean and well stocked with everything needed. Snow was removed promptly. Nice having a manager next door and communicating with the owner was quick and easy. We brought two 25’ plus snowmobile trailers. I was a little tight getting them in but very doable. Great location to ride two tops and Lionhead

Yellowstone Vacation

This was truly a home away from home! We loved the Moose Haven Cabin. It is nestled back in a nice, quiet, and small cabin community. It is close to West Yellowstone with easy access to the park. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you may need. The space both inside and out is beautiful. A great place for a family to stay. We can’t wait to come back to Moose Haven and Yellowstone!

Perfect family get away

This is probably the best rental we have done. Cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need to cook including nice selection of spices and plenty of dish towels etc. plenty of towels in the bathrooms (very nice towels) and extra blankets and pillows. Little extras like night lights and lotion. That just made it feel like home. Very nice outside picnic table and fire pit. The only thing we needed was more time to stay longer. You can’t go wrong with this cabin.

Yellowstone park visit

We had a wonderful time staying at Moose Haven. The cabin is extremely well stocked. Plenty of linens It has a great kitchen with everything you need for meals. The gas grill works great. The proximity to West Yellowstone is Ideal.

Beautiful cabin near Yellowstone

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this charming, beautifully renovated historic cabin. It was clean, spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect as it is in a private wooded area yet close to West Yellowstone and YNP.. Hope to stay at this awesome cabin again on our next visit!

A very nice option with friendly host

This property worked well for our group. The kitchen was well stocked, we enjoyed the fire pit and the gas grill, and Yellowstone was just a short drive away. And the owner, Cameron, was proactive and apologetic when there was an issue with the heat that couldn't be fixed before we arrived. The middle and top floor are unfortunately very creaky, but thankfully my kids sleep soundly so they didn't wake when I walked through the upper loft on my way to bed, so that wasn't a problem for us. Thanks for a nice stay!

Great Stay and close to town

The stay for the whole family (older parent, two families with 3 kids) was great. Even though we have heater problem the second day we stay but Cameron and Gayle was quick to bring in some heaters for us so we didn't suffer any cold. Great communication and only 10 mins to the Yellowstone West Entrance. Would definitely recommend this place!

Perfect home away from home

Moose Haven is the perfect location and home to get in and out of Yellowstone! The home was very clean and cozy and, as stated, they have more than what you’d get at most VRBOs. All the kitchen necessities, condiments, spices, grill AND MORE. We were well cared for and great communication. Beds are supper comfy and two great family areas. We would come back here in a heart beat!!

Great cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moose Haven! Very nice, clean and older log cabin with updated kitchen! Just outside West Yellowstone and convenient to the park! The owner was very informative of the area and easy to communicate with. We will be back for sure! Thanks!!

We have spent our lifetimes living and raising our four children, now 11 grandkids in Yellowstone Country. We love to hike Yellowstone Park, we are major fly fishing, skiing and cycling nuts, we love just sitting in the pines, taking the grandkids on nature walks, and provide a destination for our children. We are both retired, me as a firefighter, and we spent 20 years guiding cyclists following the Tour de France spending 5 weeks abroad each summer.

We chose Moose Haven because of the very close location to Yellowstone Park (7 miles), the area fishing, and yet because the home is located in the forest you still think your far, far away from civilization.

My wife has been in this area since she was 3, I started going there 40+ years ago, it has always been a dream to be there. During other times of the year we down in So Cal enjoying sunshine in North San Diego County closer to our grandchildren.

A real benefit staying in our home...is that it is just that...'our home', it is not a shell rental unit, but is a rich, comfortable, very well appointed home with everything you need. We sit in the most forested lot in our area, so staying home is as nice as being deep inside Yellowstone Park, including some critters. Occasionally, we have moose, fox, and other critters early spring

We are 10 minutes from West Yellowstone, and YNP west gate. The town has all amenities with good restaurants and grocery stores. We are within 45 minutes of the best fishing waters in the US, if not the world. Lake Hebgen is a large lake 5 minutes away, horseback outfitters 5 minutes away, 90 miles to the south is Jackson Hole and the Grand Teton Park.

We like the local bakeries and coffee shops in town, and much more.

One of our favorite activities, is to simply have a nice lunch on the back deck, do some reading and listen to the wind through the tall pines and then nap....yes NAP!

It is a must do experience!
