Try It, You'll Like It!!

Had a great at time at the temporary home. The place has a great view of the beach and sunset. It was nice to have an exclusive portion of beach. Each day we went to the beach we saw turtle(s) slowly making their way toward the retaining wall and steps. Kitchen was well stocked which utensils, plates, bowls, cookware and all major appliances.

My husband and I decided to return to Hale Mahina to celebrate our milestone birthdays, however opted for a higher level this time in order to take full advantage of whale watching from the lanai. The unit was exactly as described and well equipped with all of the necessary amenities. Greg and Vonda were very responsive to our questions prior to our arrival, with no contact necessary during our stay in paradise.

Very nice condo in Maui

Love these condos! Located on a small private property with beach access. Condo was very nice and clean when we arrived, well stocked, great refrigerator and kitchen, comfortable bed and furniture, and a perfect view of the ocean. Also, even though there is no AC, there are plenty of fans and the breeze from the ocean. This was our first time in March, and loved the whale sightings each day, along with daily turtles as well. Greg and Vonda were very easy to communicate with and helpful throughout the entire process. Had a wonderful time!

I want to keep this one secret!

I think we found a little piece of heaven. Great condo right on the ocean. The condo itself was clean, well equipped. The owners were responsive and helpful. But what made the place was the location, right on the beach with great snorkeling, whale watching etc.

Pictures on VRBO are accurate, kitchen fully stocked, being an end unit the tradewinds kept the unit cool ( no A/C). Watched whales from lanai, also had turtles on beach several days. Only negative not a lot of beach if you like to walk, however food trucks, stores, other beach areas all within walking distance. Owners were very responsive when a couple of issues came up, immediately took care of them. Enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing

We had NO idea that this condo had no a.c. When we arrived l almost started crying because we had a very warm twelve day vacation to get through with no a.c. & high humidity. Also the only bed was queen size. The couch in the living room needed updating as it is quite uncomfortable. The kitchen and bath were updated & very nice, but the rest of the condo needs updating. Way to many outdated decorative items that cluttered up the rooms collecting dust that made me sneeze a lot. I'm sorry today all this, but the truth is the truth. As for location & on site amenities, we loved it. The view from the balcony was spectacular & the beach & pool were perfect. We shot many outstanding sunset photos from the balcony.

The condo was clean and definitely had the updated feel - the furniture and the decor was a bit dated but was fitting of a beach front condo in Maui. We overlooked the lack of AC in the unit - but again the unit was equipped with tons of fans. You’ll need them. We set up at least 2 in each room, even the bathroom. The unit has a washer and dryer which were also useful. The unit does not have any beach equipment - so come prepared or plan to make a stop at Walmart or Target. The beach and pool were nice - short walk away - enjoyed the convenience of this. The host was responsive but his responses were often delayed. Overall it was a nice condo - no real issues - we would stay here again.

I seen the decor of this home on this listing and the fact it was away but not far away from heavy traffic areas definitely got me interested, the view every morning and evening is amazing, it's a very low key quite area. This condo was amazing to stay at. I will definitely be looking at staying here my next visit to Maui. It has everything you need. Mahalo for having me. I don't want to leave.

Beautiful condo with a breathtaking view.

Both of my parents passed away last year so as a family we all decided to go to Hawaii to celebrate there lives and to be together. My sister her husband and there 24 year old son and my one other sister stayed at the same property because of the amazing view and great price. Unfortunately my three other sisters decided to stay at a different property, but when they came to see where we were staying and visit for a minute they really loved this condo and it’s view. Our trip was amazing and very memorable, and we are very grateful that we were able to find a place located on the beach. Beautiful condo that had everything we needed and everything we wanted. Hawaii has my heart.

Why Stay Anywhere Else?

This was a gem of a find. Spotless. Convenient location. Beautiful sunsets. Well appointed. Beach/pool towels. Decisions decisions
. Lay on the Sandy beach with the amazing sea turtles or on a comfy lounge chair on the lawn. Swim in the ocean or pool
 how about both. If I had no mention one negative it would be the traffic noise in the bedroom at night when the window was open for air circulation, although there were fans that could have been used, but I like the natural breeze. I would not hesitate to rent this again and again. Mahalo.

Great place to stay

We’ve stayed at three different condos at Hale Mahina this one has a well equipped kitchen, newly renovated bathroom and a nice lanai with comfortable chairs. It’s a bit smaller than other units but very comfortable.

Dishwasher and turtles

The dishwasher died and the owners replaced it in less than 24 hours. Larry, the property manager handled the trouble shooting and replacement so we could just enjoy our time in Maui. A bonus at the property were the turtles on the beach. They seemed to know that they were safe on the beach. No one pestered them.

Great spot for a quiet vacation

This cond had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. Comfy bed, great sheets & incredible views. Our highlight was grilling on the beach at sunset. Can't wait to go back!

We have traveled to Hawaii for many years, the first time we stayed at the Hale Mahina we fell in love with Hawaii all over again! We purchased the condo and have updated it to our "Slice of Paradise". We love the intimacy of this small resort and the impeccable maintenance of the facility and grounds. We truly found a place to "Live Aloha" and our guests will relax, enjoy and "Live Aloha" too!

You can have amazing dinners on your private lanai or on the beach seating. Chairs and lounges are also provided. Quiet, relaxed and you can "Hang Loose" all day and night Hawaiian Style.
