Great Getaway

Property is very clean and has everything you need. Nice area to go for walks, marina and dinning a short walk from the house. Easy drive to beaches. Host responded quickly to any questions. Great place to relax.

The accommodations were as advertised! Very nice and comfortable. The pool was awesome. The location is very convenient. We loved Lobster Lady! Carry out or pick up some fresh fish to cook! Yummy! Wonderful owners were a JOY to meet! Wishing them well!

Comfortable and beautiful home

The house felt like a resort. It was very comfortable, immaculate, and nice. The location was great, also. It was nice to have access to bikes to take to the town and visit the harbor and shops. The only issue was that the heater for the pool wasn’t working—but that should be fixed for the next guest and wasn’t a big issue for us. The hot tub made up for it. I would highly recommend.

Great spot for a workcation

We booked this home with the intent of working from a warmer climate for the week and it proved to be a great pick. There was plenty of room for the three of us who worked to spread out -- inside the home and by the pool. We liked being in a quiet neighborhood away from other tourists. Mike was a great terrific host and communicator, and patient about working with me on an error I made when booking. I highly recommend!

Just as the Pictures show...

This home was just as it was pictured. The property manager was extremely helpful! The home was centrally located to various beaches; I recommend Boca Grande and Captiva! I have rented from VRBO before and was a little surprised to have to pay utilities in addition to the rental which is not something I have had to do before. Overall, it was a great experience.

Clean and fun!

This was one of the best! So clean, bright and organized (everything is labeled where it should go.) There are lists and directions for check-in/out which made it really easy; I wasn’t constantly searching my email. It really does look just like the pictures. We loved the pool and my son fished from the dock and caught some cool fish. We made multiple trips to Sanibel, which was about 35/40 minutes one way, not too bad. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We loved our stay at this home so much. Communication was excellent. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. During our vacation we drove to Ft. Myers Beach for an afternoon, went to a Twins game, rented a boat for an afternoon, and did some shopping. When we finished our activities each day, we were so happy to return to the house and relax and feel at home. We also opted to stay at the house all day for a couple of days. The boat rental worked perfectly - my husband drove less than a mile to get the boat and drove it through the canals to pick us up at the house. Then we boated around for a few hours and he dropped us off back at the house before returning the boat. The location in Cape Coral is perfect. It was close to everything we wanted to do, and Publix is right down the road for groceries. We would definitely stay again.

The property was nice and well maintained. All amenities were there which anyone would need. The handbook, compiled by the owners, of local restaurants and places of interest was very helpful. VRBO representative, Heidi, was pleasant and efficient. Because it was February, we heated the pool; which added extra electricity cost to our rental, but it was worth it, as was the hot tub. If you are having family or friends flying in, the airport is within close proximity as are beaches, shopping, dolphin tours, ball games, etc. We had an opportunity to meet the owners who seemed like hard workers and very gracious. Although not a new home, we would recommend it for a lovely stay in a safe area.

Gladly again

All in all we were very satisfied. There are a few things that would make the stay even more beautiful: The cleanliness is not good everywhere. The cutlery drawer was very dirty, the dishes we had to rinse first again. The windows and the frame in the bathroom were not clean. It would have more glasses and more cutlery, it was enough for a day always so close. It had a few holes in the net outside and so spiders and mosquitoes came in and so we stuffed the holes with aluminum foil. All four beach chairs would have to be replaced once, they are already very old. But on the whole we were very happy and would come back. If here a little fresh wind over the whole house would go with a few repairs and new things then we would all the better again come. Thanks a lot!

Spring break get away

The property was nice as advertised. Grandkids had a blast in the pool. It was nice to be able to regulate the pool and hot tub temps. Beach and pool toys were a nice plus. Plenty of cook wear , etc. Our host took care of any questions that arose in a timely manner. Wi-Fi was a little spotty. Overall a nice place to get away on the canal. Oh, and we saw dolphins in the canal in the backyard.

Wonderful place to stay!

Everything was absolutely amazing at the property! The manager was very responsive to all our questions and was very helpful. The home was clean and also well organized. Location was perfect as it was in a quiet area but close to beaches, shopping and restaurants.

Great family vacation

Safe and convenient area for a family vacation. Nice pool, access to the canal for fishing. Can’t really swim in the canal because ladder is covered in sharp coral. Good fishing though. Suggestions: 1 bath towel per person and 1 pool towel so plan to do laundry or bring more towels.

Great Vacation

The house/property was very clean and well organized. The pool and hot tub were very clean and we really enjoyed our time at the house on the outside patio. The house is in a great location with lots of great restaurants within a few minutes drive. We rented a boat for the week and docked it right at the house in the canal. Having a boat to take to Sanibel Island (45 mins) made our vacation amazing. We anchored the boat right in front of the beach and we were able to spend the day relaxing and fishing on the beach. Great memories were made!!!!

Peaceful

Easy to reserve, answered all questions, pleasant experience dealing with Sabine. Pictures match property. Quite neighbors,nice neighborhood,close to shops. The only thing that could have been better was the pool needed vacuuming. Pool cleaners were friendly when they came but only put chemicals in and brushed the sides. Otherwise no complaints.

Fishing Trip

House was great. Unfortunately we arrive just after a tropical storm and the water in the canal was over our deck out back. I know this is not the property owners fault but when the water lowered to normal level the next day the patio was full of trash and debris. I explained this to the property manager and she said yes this happens. With no water hose or any way of cleaning it up it was a major eye sore let alone every time went entered our boat we rented we tracked mud and crap into the boat. It was a major pain! Lack of hose at the patio dock was not ideal for our situation. The property manager should have had someone come clean the mess once we mentioned it.

Catherine and Michael are first generation Canadians with parents from Germany, The Netherlands and Scotland. We love Florida, especially SW (South West) and particularly Cape Coral. The people are friendly, the beaches are clean and the weather is almost always sunny and the neighbourhoods are very safe. This property is located on a quiet street yet close enough to the main area of shopping on Del Prado Boulevard. You are only minutes away by car to take one of 2 bridges over to Fort Myers to explore Fort Myers Beach or Sanibel Island. Shopping outlets are nearby at Tanger Outlets or Miramar Outlets in Estero. Local Golf courses are very inexpensive with golf carts included.

The pool backyard takes full advantage of the Florida sun which averages 266 days per year. It has a bright pool deck with pocket sliding glass doors that disappear behind the walls that really opens up the home to the outside. Also a huge Kitchen made us fall in love with this home as we normally like Eat-in kitchens where family discussions brings everyone together, as a break from their iPhones and iPads (well maybe not always ;-).
