Perfect get away

This is our 2nd time to stay at this cabin, and it wont be the last! It's so peaceful and beautiful. There at the cabin and the woods behind it and the creek running through it is breathtaking.And where the cabin is, you're only 30 minutes away from Cooks Forest Scenic Trail riding dude ranch. In just a short drive down the road, there's kayaking some restaurants or winery, just beautiful country.They also have a game room set up in the garage, with a dart board shuffleboard, ping pong table and a foos ball table.

Weekend at the Cabin

This property was perfect! We went for groundhog day since we couldnt find a place closer. It was a great house that had good amenities and was well stocked. The property was beautiful as well all though it was cold so we didnt get to explore too much. Would definitely reccomend this house!

Beautiful home

Overall beautiful cabin, peaceful and quiet location. Enjoyed the hot tub and use of the outdoor grill. Fireplace kept it warm and cozy. Only thing we didn’t like was the mattresses on the beds. Very firm and uncomfortable. Other than that we loved it!

Perfect Girls Weekend getaway!

This is our new favorite place! We loved the cabin and all the amenities! The host was great at suggesting things to do in the area! Cooks Forest was great! Lots of hiking and exploring the area. The cabin was a great place for sitting around the fire and talking. Beds were super comfy! We will defiantly be back!

Great getaway

Great getaway from PGH for a group of friends. Everything was clean, it was spacious, and the property extended into the woods allowing us to explore. Only downsides were the fireplace was not working and the hot tub had an issue but the host was ultimately very communicative and accommodating. Overall would stay again!

This was our second wonderful stay at the Master Cabin. It has everything and more; I can't recommend this amazing property enough. Excellent place to getaway from it all

My wife and I were fortunate to book the Master Cabin for a few days in March. Cabin is very well maintained and decorated. Very spacious and we enjoyed the outdoor firepit, indoor fireplace, hiking on the property and hot tub. Dave was very helpful and provided excellent details on the place when we arrived, also giving us advice on placed to eat and explore. We have stayed at many places over the last few years and this is one of the best. We are already looking at dates to come back.

Girl’s Weekend 2023

This was the third time my girlfriends and I stayed at this property for our annual girls weekend. This property is the best! Perfect amount of space. Very clean. What a beautiful cabin to unwind in, on our way home to MA. Everything you would want and more as the seclusion of 17 acres speaks for itself. The weather cooperated as we sat outside and so enjoyed the fire pit ( we did burn a lot of wood - sorry) Loved everything about this beautifully decorated & spotless home, Dave & Lisa are phenomenal to work with as WE will be back despite the 9 hr. trip involved. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Lovely, well kept, clean wooded retreat.

Very lovely, well kept property. Many acres of beautiful woods. Table games in the garage were great! Hot tub was very nice. We tried to he very careful with water use. We did have one glitch on Friday evening after being away all day. There was a sewage type smell and we were concerned. We had not been there all day and did not shower upon return. After some deliberation, we surmised the smell was from sulfur water going through a softener process. We were surprised it was on in the early evening rather than through the night. We were away most of Friday and Saturday for a large family reunion. We would like to return again to spend more timeat the actual chalet/cabin.

Family fun at Master Cabin

It was easy to make ourselves at home in beautiful, well-built Master Cabin. The young ones explored Turkey Run behind the cabin and its small waterfalls. Grandma made one trip down to an upper bank with help (uncooperative knees). We saw deer and used the games garage. Got the corn hole game out of the shed too. Too hot for an indoor fire, but the outdoor fire pit was sure nice. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the dependable wi-fi. My room in the addition was so quiet. We enjoyed a pontoon tour from Foxburg and bought good food at the restaurant above it. Son and his wife rented 2 canoes and floated their family from Emlenton to Parker. We had a good vacation an hour away from home. Thank you, Dave and Lisa, for all you provide for your guests.

Beautiful change of scenery

Every year we look to get away from our norm to relax and spend time together. This year was even more important to get a change of scenery. Master Cabin did not disappoint!!! The 3 bedroom plus open loft was ideal for our group of 3 families to gather for the week. The fire pit stocked with wood and two picnic tables, game garage, and decent sized kitchen table let us pick where to be depending on the weather and sleeping schedules of our little ones. The outdoor enthusiasts loved the near Freedom Falls and Furnace. All of us enjoyed going into Foxburg and Emlenton for walking the paved trails with the littles. Not to mention the proximity of Foxburg Wine Cellers and Clarion River Brewing Company to which we would recommend. If you are looking for a beautiful place a little off the beaten path to relax and enjoy nature, this is your place. Dave and Lisa were a pleasure to work with always well. The Framily

Thank you for considering staying at the incredible "Master Cabin" - our peaceful forest getaway and fun-filled family adventure spot! We have taken over management of this property for long time hosts Dave & Lisa, as they venture toward more of their own travels.

My name is Tracey, and my family and I would be honored to host your stay at this fully private home. Although I was born in California and have lived in over 10 states across the country, my husband Jimmy was born and bred in Western PA.

As many from the Greater Pittsburgh area know, once you live here, you fall in love with it, and after living in several states along the East Coast, we decided to settle nearby. Jimmy has owned a mortgage brokerage for over 25 years and I have worked as a 6th grade Reading and English teacher for over 24 years.

Over the past 31 years, we have raised three beautiful children here and are thrilled to be grandparents to three amazing grandchildren, two little boys and a recent baby girl. As frequent travelers ourselves, we understand the benefit of arriving somewhere that is clean, private and well-equipped, which is why we strive to ensure each guest's stay is as amazing as possible!

We hope you enjoy our little neck of the woods.

This property is a great place to stay. We supply just about everything except for food and drinks. Firewood can be provided at an additional cost for your use. Outside gas grill is already hooked up to gas so no worries about propane. Very quiet and peaceful.
