The pool was closed during our stay without notice. The furnishings were very outdated and the beach chairs were old and not in good shape, missing straps etc. The most redeeming thing was the view out the patio doors.

This place was not newly renovated. The kitchen cabinet need a cleaning, floor needed mopped, pillowcases had to be washed. Stove, you can't read knob, they don't work, and part of the stove didn't work. Microwave turntable didn't work and heat up. TV Remotes missing buttons. It is missing items needed to cook in the kitchen. There were small bugs in the unit.It did have a beautiful view. Very Quiet and comfortable beds.

Wonderful stay!

I have previously stayed in this condo and enjoy it every time! The view is stunning, and the sounds of the ocean at night are incredibly relaxing. We communicated with the property management before and during our stay, and they were very responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend it!

Great view

The view is the main selling point of this condo. We were able to do lots of whale watching from the patio. Everything else about it was lackluster. We had issues with cleanliness upon checking in but the property manager was very responsive and that was appreciated.

One Stop Wonderful Stay

Menehune Shores is an all-in-one inclusive destination. Awesome condos with ocean views, immaculate grounds, beach access, pool, restaurant/bar and plenty of parking. I honestly think it’s the best destination in Maui. We have been several times now. Some condos are more updated than others so be mindful when you select your unit. The fall is a great time to go because it’s not hot— it’s just right. And the crowds are somewhere else. Can’t wait to go again. Aloha!

We loved it!

Perfect spot for our family of 5 (8, 5 & 1 year old girls). Plenty of space, well furnished and stocked with amenities (cooler, beach chairs, snorkel gear, rice cooker, blenders, etc). Property was awesome - great pool, amazing beach with enclosed swimming area, close walk to stores and restaurants (but having a rental car was nice).

Great Location and View

Communication with the owner was great and check-in went smoothly. Good location to explore different parts of the island. Condo is right on the beach with an awesome view of the ocean from the patio. Pool, lawn and condo complex were very nice. Condo itself is nice, was clean on check-in and everything worked but it is a little worn down.

Centrally located

Location and community are centrally located and easy access to shopping, restaurants and snorkeling. The condo is perfect for two couples. The view and water are beautiful. Only suggestion we have is that the floors could use a good cleaning.

Magical Maui

My family of 5 had a wonderful time in Maui and this property was perfect for us. Spacious, clean, incredible views, and all the comforts of home. The Maui winds are crazy!! But they act as a perfect climate control with the windows open. The pool was great and not too crowded at all. And the beach was right next door. If you wake up early you can see the turtles at the beach! Great location. Many options for dining, shopping, and activities about 1-2 miles down the road. Katie is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Views!

Had a great time at Menehune Shores for a girls vacation. The property is right on the beach and has beautiful views of the ocean. The condo is stocked with everything you need for the kitchen and bathroom. There is even snorkel gear in the closet. The beach has a very shallow enclosed area that was used for trapping fish in the past. It’s a great area for small children to wade around. Sea turtles like to come into the shallow areas of the beach and sit on the rocks, we enjoyed watching them. If you want to shop, it doesn’t take long to get to Lahaina or Wailea, because Kihei is centrally located. We had a great trip!

Excellent Location!

This rental property is literally perfect. I want a condo in the same location! We got to see turtles every day and night, right out on the beach in front of the condo. The fish pond is awesome with a ton of little fishies swimming around but you have to be careful not to swim up on a turtle under water. Kihea is an excellent jumping off point to reach anywhere in the island. It took us 1 hour to reach our furthest destination which was the top of the Haleakalā to see the stars at night, totally worth it. The condo has a rooftop bbq area to access, shuffleboard, a beach front bbq, and a nice pool. There are beach toys, chairs, umberellas, and sand toys in the unit to use too. I love this place and will definitely making this trip again.

Wonderful location . Perfect for 5 of us , just feet away from beach , turtles everywhere, nice pool ! When we arrived place was not cleaned well! Stain on box spring pad, crumbs on couch , dirty bathrooms and dirty dishes . Property manager did have housekeeping come re clean place ! Not how you want to start out your vacation when exhausted from traveling and had to wait about 2 hours for place to get cleaned . After cleaned everything was wonderful! Property manager was lacking conflict resolution skills . She did work with us somewhat .

Very uncomfortable, hot and full of mites place.

My family checked in on May 1st, I booked them until May 11. On their first night, they suffered they thought from bugs bites and there were red, swollen and very itchy marks all over their bodies, their backs, arms , legs and upper legs and the place was ver uncomfortably hot. I communicated this to the property agent and we tried to sanitized and disinfect the place. I bought a portable AC and couch cover. I requested a place to transfer from the agent and she said that they have any available place. So I told her that my family will try one more night and if it’s the same we wanted to cancel and get a refund. The following day, it gotten worse because everybody have more red, swollen and itchy marks. The agent sent somebody to check for the bugs, which can be seen by the naked eyes and the person did not see any. But I think it’s more on bed, couch and dust mites. They can’t be seen by the naked eye. My family was able to talk to the owner and she was so rude talking to them. According to feedbacks, there were a lot of the same complaints about this place before and the owner still did not fixed it. I just stayed there for the cleaning and installing the portable AC and I got red itchy marks on both of my arms. I checked out my family on the second day. I’m disputing the payment for this property for the remaining 8 days of my booking, please, please help me get a refund.

Beautiful view but the condo needs updating

The view was beautiful, and the location was good unfortunately, the condo is very outdated. There is no air-conditioning in the condo, we knew that ahead of time but several of the reviews and posts made it seem as it was not an issue. Unfortunately, if you are staying in the second bedroom, it is very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. Parking spaces are also an issue, each unit allows for one parking space and it was often hard to find even one available space. The silverware in the kitchen reminded me of something that would be provided at a high school cafeteria. Our towels in the master bathroom we're dirty. The Rooftop provides a beautiful view of the sunset, unfortunately because of the venting system, the smell from the Indian restaurant in the building overpowers the experience. The rooftop closes at nine which we were unaware of, and since we were there to experience New Year's Eve, we were very disappointed that we could not witness the fireworks from the rooftop also only one of the grills up there work properly. Sadly I would not recommend this place to my family and friends.

It was a great place with great views. However, if you’re two couples traveling together one couple is going to get the room without the great view and traffic from the street. With no AC you have to leave the windows open at night. Bring your earplugs and negotiate paying a little less with you co-travelers for the lessor room.

Great views of the beach and ocean. Our condo had all the essentials we needed for our stay. We had one issue on check I. But the owner got right on it and took great care of us. As for the complex it was beautiful and great location. We did not eat at the restaurant because the entire menu was Indian food, no choices for other types of food. Otherwise it was a great stay.

We loved our stay! The unit is right on the beach with a perfect view from the third floor. It was clean, well-kept, and stocked with thoughtful supplies that made it feel more like home. We really appreciated the little touches that made our stay extra comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

I love my unit at Menehune Shores. Kihei has some of the best weather in all of Maui, and I selected Menehune Shores as it is among the very closest to the water. The location is quieter than other condos that are directly in the heart of the bustling restaurant district, yet groceries and additional restaurants are just a mile away.

I have selected and furnished this home with many upgrades. This building is an arc shape and I chose this unit as it offers a great cross breeze with a preferable view and away from the road. I love listening to the sounds of the waves and the 24/7 fantastic view. Beach towels, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, and boogie board for your use.
