Ivy May worked for the world-famous Island Records under the
direction of Christopher Blackwell. During this exciting time in her life, she was fortunate enough to assist Mr. Blackwell in the careers of Bob Marley, U2, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Will Smith, Robert Palmer, and many others. Ivy Mays Beach House was used to house the various artists and their families while they recorded at the studio across the street
(which is now the Studio Cafe restaurant)
