Hengitä Mooseen kanssa! Hirsimökki RMNP / Columbine-järven lähellä

Meidän hirsimökki on suuri yksityinen paikalla lepää haapa lehdossa vain muutaman minuutin päässä Grand Lake. Olemme vain muutaman askeleen päässä Columbine Lake, yksityinen 45 hehtaarin luonnollinen järvi aivan Rocky Mountain National Park. Tämä on täydellinen paikka perheen loma, romanttinen pakopaikka, tai jälleennäkeminen ystävien kanssa. Sijaintimme varmuuskopioi yksityinen metsämaan, mahdollistaa paljon yksityisyyttä ja runsaasti villieläimiä tulemaan lähelle matkustamon lukien Moose, Deer, Fox, ja Elk. Olemme sijaitsee umpikujaan katu naapureiden toisella puolella vain. Rocky Mountain National Park on 1 kilometrin päässä ja kylän Grand Lake on vain pari minuutin ajomatkan.

Sisätilojen ohjaamo tarjoaa avotoimiston kanssa holvikatot suuressa huoneessa. Luonnollinen log palkit tukevat Yläkerta ja loki kaide seuraa portaita ylös ja koko parvi, jolloin se, että maalaismainen touch. Pääkerroksessa on toinen makuuhuone queen, kylpyamme suihkulla ja pesula, täysin varusteltu keittiö, ruokailutila, suuri huone ja baari. Yläkerrassa täysi kylpyamme suihku / amme, iso makuuhuone king size log vuode ja hengen kerrossänky, ja parvella astella sänky, joka toimii kolmas makuuhuone. Parvi tarjoaa yksityisyyttä muusta matkustamon ja avautuu parvekkeelle ulkopuolella.

Illalla on tulipalo palo kuoppaan ulkopuolella ja katsella tähtiä ylhäällä. Koruton log penkit surround palo kuoppaan yhdessä Adirondack tuolit. Huomaa, että polttopuut eivät ehkä ole saatavilla mökillä, ja ne ovat kaupoissa ostettavissa. Jos aiot tuoda koirasi, pidetään hyvin käyttäytyviä lemmikkejä ja lemmikinpalkkio maksetaan varauksestasi, jos se hyväksytään.

Grand Lake on ympäri vuoden määränpäähän. Kesällä voit nauttia veneily 3 järvet (Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, ja Lake Granby), vaellus, maastopyöräily, mönkijät, 4. heinäkuuta ilotulitus, ja lista jatkuu. Talvikuukausina tämä alue on moottorikelkkailua pääkaupunki Colorado yli 100 mailia hoidettuja latuja. Hiihto valinnat ovat runsaat välillä Ski Granby Ranch lähellä, Winter Park ja legendaarinen samppanja jauhe Steamboat Springs. Wonderful stay at Columbine Lake cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our wintertime stay at this cozy cabin, including skiing at Winter Park, exploring Grand Lake village, and snowshoeing in RMNP. The cabin is perfect - beautiful setting, clean, spacious, and great amenities. It had everything we needed. Communication with Scott was great as well. 5 stars all around!

Best Family Vacation with adult children

The cabin was everything we thought it would be and more. The cabin was well stocked with everything you could think of. Very clean and the host kept in contact throughout our stay. If we go back to Grand Lake again we will definitely stay at this cabin.

The moose were out!!!

What a great place to stay, within easy driving distance to RMNP, Grand Lake, Granby, etc. We saw cow moose and calves several times during our stay including one day when the cow bedded down in our yard (doesn't get much better than that!!!). Evening drives up the Kewaunechee Valley yielded elk and moose in large numbers. Scott was incredibly responsive and helpful, made our stay very comfortable.

Awesome place and launching point

Very comfortable property with all of the accoutrements you would expect (lots of pots and pans, everything works, balcony for wildlife viewing, fire pit, deck, etc). Beautiful walks around Columbine Lake, lots of friendly people. Great base for trips to Grand Lake, Rocky Mountain National Park, hiking, fishing, etc. Host was super responsive. Already booked for 2024!!!

Great location!

Right outside the park! As we arrived we heard elk bugling. We went early morning and evening to the park to see the wildlife and it couldn’t be more convenient. The home is well stocked with all necessities. We especially enjoyed all the extra kitchen utensils so we could prepare full meals. We also appreciated Scott checking on us during the week. Definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to experience the park on the quiet side!

Holiday Getaway!! 🦃🎄

A perfectly relaxing and cozy cabin in the woods! Our family of 7 plus 2 dogs were very comfortable and well taken care of during our 4 night stay. Our Thanksgiving feast was easily prepared with all of the kitchen necessities available. We enjoyed a short walk to Columbine Lake and a brisk walk around the neighborhood with breathtaking views all around! Conveniently located just a short drive to Grand Lake Village to partake in all that it has to offer was also very nice. Waking up to fresh snow was a treat and added to the enjoyment of a crackling fire. Each room was comfortable and provided exactly what we needed to get some rest for a new day. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!!

A Quiet Paradise

The Hanging with Moose Cabin is absolute Heaven, it was our first time to the Grand Lake area looking for a quieter side of the mountain, we normally stay in Estes Park every year but it's so busy and over crowded. Grand Lake is so much more laid back and relaxing. This Cabin is nestled in a private community that is so quiet and beautiful with nice and friendly neighbors. The Cabin has every thing you could possibly need and more and it's so cozy and comfortable and very easy access to RMNP, there is even a walking path into the Park not far from the Cabin. We took many walks around the private lake. The Host communicates with you often which is a very special touch, I think that is due to him actually owning the property unlike other VRBO's I have rented are managed by a Management team. This Cabin would be perfect for a Family with children with all the extra added touches that is geared towards children. You are so close to the Park a timed entry is not really needed cause getting into the Park before 9 with no lines is so doable. Just a small tip if you stay in this Cabin stock up on provisions in Granby at the City Market there are 2 markets in Grand Lake but very very pricey, I am all for supporting local businesses but not at those prices. Restaurants in Town are the same so we stocked up on groceries and cooked our meals. We did have an awesome meal at the Sagebrush, service and food was excellent but a meal for 3 was over $127. The Cabin was Amazing!!!!

Love this cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. The accommodations were perfect for our family. The cabin was clean, spacious, and fully equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable, as were the chair and couches in the family room. The high-speed Wi-Fi was a bonus – we were able to use Wi-Fi calling to keep in touch with family at home. Our boys also appreciated being able stay plugged-in. The fire pit area was our favorite place to sit and relax and observe wildlife around the cabin. We saw Moose, Elk and Deer every day at the cabin. We had two Gray Fox sightings-one Fox being chased down the road by two very agitated crows. The location was perfect for visiting RMNP—only a short drive to the Kawuneeche Visitor Center and the RMNP entrance. RMNP is spectacular – we decided to visit the Kawuneeche Valley because of the variety of hiking trails and abundant wildlife. The proximity of the cabin to the park allowed us to scout out new adventures in the park every day. We walked the Holzwarth Historic Site trail at dusk and observed hundreds of Elk grazing in the Valley – an amazing experience. I highly recommend this cabin who want to visit RMNP and have a comfortable place to come home to and relax. Scott, thank you for sharing your cabin with us. We would love to come back someday!

Family Stay

The cabin is clean and orderly. It was very easy to find what we were looking for. The location is convenient, just a 10 min drive into Grand Lake and about 15 minutes to entrance of RMNP. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We even got to see a mother and baby moose right before we left! Scott was super helpful and promptly responded to our questions. We highly recommend this property!

Amazing getaway

Scott’s cabin was PERFECT! The weather turned on us and the snow was so beautiful! The wood stove kept us perfectly warm! When Berthoud Pass was closed down the day we were to leave, Scott graciously allowed us to stay one more night! Although we didn’t see any Moose this time, we’re already making plans to come back!

The property is just as advertised. We were lucky to see moose twice, but the ither wildlife is just as nice. House is comfortable and in a great location. Grrat.

Great cabin in great location

The cabin is in a serene location with lots of birdwatching and wildlife in the area. Beautiful walks around Lake Columbine! RMNP is just around the corner! The cabin was very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen. There were plenty of pots and pans to cook or bake about anything you want. The owner is very responsive and shared good info about the area including grocery store options. Also the king size bed in the master BR upstairs was very comfortable.

Wildlife Haven

Beautiful surroundings; abundance of wildlife and excellent stargazing from upper balcony and driveway. Something about this property is so tranquil. You can feel your heart rate and breathing slow down. The cabin is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We have stretched our annual stay to 10 days because this place is so accommodating. Accessibility for wheelchair is a bonus.

Spectacular stay!

The location was perfect, just a short distance from all the fun and activities the area has to offer. Whether it was hiking, boating, or exploring the charming town, everything was easily accessible. The cabin's layout was incredibly family-friendly, providing plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The kids loved having their own area to play, and the open-plan living space made it easy for us all to spend quality time together. Communication with the property manager, Scott, was excellent. He was always quick to respond and provided helpful information about the cabin. His attentiveness made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning views of moose roaming the property. It was a unique and unforgettable experience to watch these majestic animals in their natural habitat from the comfort of our cabin. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a perfect getaway near Grand Lake.

Amazing cabin and wildlife

Perfect location, close to the national park. Grand Lake is an awesome little town. Scott was a great host and the cabin is in perfect condition. We saw moose and baby moose every day. The fire pit and stars were incredible. Can’t go wrong with this place!

On our first vacation here we immediately fell in love with the area. The wildlife, lakes, and small town feel is what truly makes this area unique. We wanted a place for our family to spend time outdoors and experience all the benefits Colorado has to offer. Owning a log cabin has always been a dream of ours. Happy to say that dream has come true and we would like to share the experience with you and your family!

It has always been a dream of ours to own a log cabin in the mountains. The hard part for us was finding a cabin with the right location. I can not say enough good things about the location of this cabin. It is close to everything that you may want to do year round in Colorado. Whether you like to get out on the water, hike, take the ATV out, snowmobile, ski / snowboard, view wildlife, photography, or enjoy hunting this area offers it all. Perhaps the greatest year round draw of the area is Rocky Mountain National Park with its amazing scenery and abundance of wildlife.

The property itself backs up to a large piece of private land, this offers more privacy than most cabins in the Columbine Lake area and provides the opportunity to view lots of wildlife including moose, bear, deer, fox, and elk. There is a balcony off the second level that allows you to look out and hopefully see a moose wondering. On the interior of the cabin you will find an open and bright floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and wood finish throughout giving it that true log cabin feel.
