Tämä yksinkertainen mutta mukava mökki on vain hyvin lyhyen korttelin päässä merestä. Nauti kausiluonteisesta uinnista ja snorklauksesta Poipu Beach Park -puistossa vain viiden minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Lähistöllä on Brenneck'en ranta, jossa boogie-lennolle on suosittu.

Rentoudu kuistilla trooppisen tuulen keskellä ja nauti tämän viehättävän paikallisen naapuruston tunnelmasta. Plantation Cottage -hotellissa on Havaijin ympäristö, jolla on maalaismainen viehätys Havaijin istutuskodissa, joka on tapahtunut aikakaudella.

Paradise Found

Almost perfect beyond words but I’ll try. Best stay on the island yet (5th visit). We’ve stayed all over the island and we’ve found our paradise. Steps from the ocean yet somehow secluded in the busiest part of the island. We cooked every night on the verandah and bookie boarded past sunset every day. I can’t wait until we meet again Plantation House! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

A Botanic Oasis steps from the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Plantation Cottage is a bit of old Kauai with modern updates to the kitchen and bath. The front porch was a shaded haven for relaxation. The kitchen was well outfitted, beds were comfortable, there were lots of fans to assist the nearly constant breezes. Great location for families with small children; easy walk to Poipu Beach. The rental company and maintenance are very responsive. The huge monkey pod tree in front hosts a variety of birds. The landscaping is diverse and abundant. The property has a second rental cottage. Two other buildings are used daily by the friendly owner, who lives nearby. During our stay this was not a problem for us, but it might be for those seeking more privacy.

Great spot in Poipu

If you want to stay in the heart of Poipu but not have to be in a hotel/condo this is a great house option. It's small and simple but feels legit-Hawaiian in the best of the ways. Location is fantastic.

Family getaway

Good stay for 3 people. Easy walk to beach. Lovely sunrise and sunsets. Plenty to do on the island. Can be as busy or as quiet as you like to be there. Host was very nice and fresh fruit he brought to us was much appreciated!

The Best Place We’ve Ever Stayed in Hawaii!

This was such a lovely, comfortable, cozy cottage. We felt so at home here! Montgomery and Julie are friendly, helpful hosts, the cottage was clean, and beautiful touches like orchids in the house. An easy stroll to swimming beaches. We will be back! If you are someone who prefers something a little more home and neighborhood than the hotels and condos, this is it!

Perfectly Relaxing

Our family of four enjoyed everything about the cottage and stay in Lokoa. The owner was very kind and helpful. The accommodations were well thought out. He included beach towels and chairs, buggy boards, and fresh mangos and bananas. We loved the front porch and outdoor shower. All the locals we spoke with were friendly and helpful. We rented bikes from the e-bike place a stones throw away and had a fun ride. Poipu beach was our favorite. The ceiling fans were a godsend. We found some great local restaurants on Rice street. Kauai is a magical paradise and Montgomery’s cottage is fantastic.

Great location and we love the retro setting and architecture. I feed the birds each day and watch the Myna, red crested Cardinals, Northern Cardinals, Rock Dove, Stripped Dove and Java Sparrows, not to mention Kauai's Chickens. Watching the star studded sky while using the outdoor shower is a highlight.

It has everything you need and gives a very relaxing island vibe. I could sit on the lanai and listen to the random sprinkle and birds all day. Gorgeous Monkey Pod tree provides nice shade to keep the home cool. The outdoor shower was a great amenity after a day at the beach. We especially loved visiting the outdoor cat, Oni Oni. There is also a mango tree that we enjoyed a couple fresh mangos from. If we come back to south Kauai we'd definitely stay here again!

It has 2 nice bedrooms and one small one (a single bed). My wife and I stay here and rent the one next door for our family. It is well equipped and has new appliances in the kitchen. We love that it has a covered porch (yes sometimes it rains on Kauai). It's a short walk to Brennecke's Beach where we ofter view the sunset.

As usual the cottage was very comfortable for my wife and me and a series of house guests. In particular, we love the covered porch and the location close to the beach. It had every amenity we would need, beach chairs, towels, laundry soap, etc. We walked down to the beach every day. We had a small hiccup in that the ice maker was broken and there were no ice trays, but a call to the management company fixed that almost immediately. It's true that the furniture on the lanai isn't what is in the pictures, but we didn't care. There are comfortable chairs and we sat out there every day.I would absolutely reserve the cottage again, we loved it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good experience overall. Close to the beach, beach chairs and snorkel equipment there to use. We bought a bucket with shovels etc and left for future families. Walls are thin so you have to be quiet after kids are asleep. I wish we would have known about laundry access, would have made our trip so much better as there are no close laundromats near by. I found a key hanging by the back door labeled "laundry" on our last morning there. Kitchen well stocked with appliances. The beds do make a lot of noise just rolling over on them. Otherwise great experience. The woman staying in the back house of lot was friendly and helpful. There is a bar very close by with live music which can be loud at night but the fans mainly blocked out the noise even with windows open. Thank you for letting us stay at your property!

We always look for rental properties on Pane Road due to the location and Plantation Cottage fits that bill.The Cottage itself is fine but it might be a bit outdated. The fan in one of the bedrooms is quite noisy and so is the bed. The family room furniture definitely needs an upgrade and also the TV. A smart TV would be nice so you can stream from your personal device.A few things to know about this rental. There are more buildings/houses on the property and there could be more renters. We stayed for 2 weeks and had no renters, but the owner kept coming at all times every day. I know it’s his property and he can come and go as he pleases, but if we had known, I would not have rented this place. You rent a house because you want privacy. Again, other renters would be ok, since you’d have known and both parties would have been on the same level, but the owner coming by constantly is just not what you’d expect.Another thing not mentioned in the description; the owner has a cat living on the property; I’m not a cat person and I don’t want a cat on my lanai table during lunch or dinner. It starts “asking for food” in the morning and begs on the lanai.Having said that, we enjoyed the place to the fullest and the owner is very friendly and drops fresh fruit at the Lanai, he also brought new Beach chairs. Kauai, Brennecke’s and Poipu Beach are still my favorite spots.

Comfortable and homey cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A friend and I enjoyed the home for a week. The beds are comfy, the bathroom is modern, the furnishings are beach house comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, except could use more glass drinking glasses instead of plastic tumblers. Plenty of fans and plenty of towels were very appreciated. Beach chairs etc were available. The house is very clean. I encountered a few harmless scared small critters in the kitchen near the end of our stay. The exterior access could be improved—the driveway has a large rock you have to avoid, and the stepping stones to the front door are spaced too far apart to use. Do heed the instructions about parking on one side of the driveway, as gardeners parked on the other side. The porch was a lovely place to eat and hang out at all times of day, with the monkeypod tree sheltering above and filled with birds. We liked hearing the surf crashing at Brennecke’s Beach. Occasional music from Kalapaki Joe’s drifted over at happy hour. Loved being able to walk places. It was a happy week staying at the Plantation Cottage.
