Tämä hiljattain uusittu järvi-koti on täydellinen paikka takaisku ja rentoutua luonnossa perheen ja ystävien kanssa täysin kalustetussa 3 sänkyssä, 2 kylpyjärvellä sijaitsevassa talotalossa, josta on upeat näkymät Tuttle Creek -säiliölle ja luonnonkauniille Flint Hills -alueelle Manhattanin ulkopuolella, KS. Mukana retkeilyreitit järvelle, maastopyöräily, veneily, melonta, kalastus, uinti ja paikallinen ranta-alue viettää aikaa ystävien kanssa. Se sijaitsee ystävällisessä naapurustossa rauhallisella umpikujassa vain muutaman minuutin päässä paikallisista valtion puistoista, vain 10 liikennevapaata minuuttia Bill Snyder Family -stadionista ja Kansas State Universitystä ja 15 minuutin päässä keskustan kaupoista ja ravintoloista.
Talon yläkerrassa on täysin kalustettu keittiö, ruokasali, täysi kylpyamme, makuuhuone, toimisto, perhehuone / takka ja tilava iso kansi, jossa grilli, takkakuoppa, oleskelutila ja ruokapöydät. Täydellinen paikka viettää aikaa perheen ja ystävien kanssa.

Graduation weekend

This was a great location for our family to gather and celebrate our son’s graduation from college. The deck was a great place for friends and family to gather. The parking situation was questionable until the owners explained and we introduced ourselves to the neighbors. The views were amazing!

The setting was great. A very quiet place. Two family members slept on the lower level and heard rodents moving around in the ceiling and walls. There were scratching sounds. It seemed could use some TLC.

Outstanding!!!

Overall it was outstanding!!! Did have a visit from the police because of the neighbor and how his property line is located. Apparently this is an ongoing thing according to the Officer. Lovely views. Spacious . Would stay again and definitely recommend.

The neighbor is crazy and out of control. We left after first night. Waiting for a refund. We were in Kansas for a funeral and this neighbor made the stay very uncomfortable with threats. So sad!

Disappointed

The house accommodations were over promised. Very unsafe parking for motorcycles. Need gravel. Shower off the kitchen did not work. Cupboard doors were off. Stool in bathroom moves. Counter in the bathroom moves. Head of Bed in upstairs bedroom lifts up when you sit in the end of the bed. Neighbors were very nice. Deck moves when people walk around. Maintenance has been neglected.

Great Property, Great Views!

I stayed here with a few students while we were attending a convention on the K-State Campus. The property was very nice - we really enjoyed hanging out on the deck and the beautiful view! The drive to the house was also beautiful! The neighbor to the south (up the hill) was very nice and came to greet us and made sure we knew where to park so the neighbor to the north didn't get upset. One thing we found out - what looks like the "driveway" is actually an easement road, so it should just be used to access the VRBO property - don't "loiter" in the driveway. The parking spot next to the house is only big enough for a small car, and if your vehicle hangs over the property line, the neighbor to the north will report you to the police. Fortunately the neighbor to the south has a big parking area and allowed us to park there. Otherwise, the house was very nice and clean, nice decor, and mostly comfy beds. No Keurig, unfortunately. We would absolutely stay there again!

I was so very disappointed in the misinformation provided about the parking situation. The homeowner misrepresented the parking available to us and the police were called on us for parking in a "NO PARKIMG AREA" owned by the neighbor. If we would have been told the correct information, we could have saved the police a trip out to tell us to move our cars and we would not have been extremely late to our scheduled outing. This set the mood for the whole evening and weekend. Don't let the information provided by the homeowner and/or information printed in the house cause problems for you if you choose to book this property. It is definately not set up for more than one car, kids or pets!!!!!

Beautiful View but Fear Thy Neighbor

The view was beautiful but the pleasure stopped there. I had seen other reviews that warned about the neighbor but I was not prepared for the greeting we got. The police were called within 10 minutes of our arrival as my dog (13 years old, blind and deaf) had stepped on his property. This was the 103 call to the police - his statistic, not mine. One of the other neighbors said he kicked my dog in the face (I did not see him do that myself). This man was rude and visibly shaking, he was so angry. I actually felt he knew we were coming and was waiting for us to make a mistake. Eventually, he calmed down and we didn't see him again on our visit which was great. So let's talk about the house... Overall, the house was nice however, there were drawer facings falling off, cupboard doors falling off the hinges, the spices were VERY old and the dishes/pans were a hodgepodge collection that desperately needs updating and a good culling. Andy was very pleasant to work with and I apologize for such a scathing review but when you're spending that much money to rent someplace, it should be a nice visit. The neighbor was dreadful and the property lines are way too difficult to explain but if this property is going to continue being rented, it really should be updated and a truce worked out with the neighbor. Then it would be a perfect place to relax and recharge.

There are serious issues with this property. The neighbor called the police on us because we parked right in front of the house. I can’t even begin to tell you how aggravating it was to be at this property with this neighbor telling me I was going to jail almost as soon as we got there.

Sooooo many WOWs about this property!!!! There was a greeting committee - a shirtless angry neighbor! He greeted us within 5 minutes of arriving to inform us he owned the driveway in front of the property. Contrary to check-in instructions indicating there was parking directly in front of the property -limited to 3 cars- this “lovely” neighbor was NOT in agreement. He did not seem inclined to a debate and was quite intimidating so we didn’t argue. The grill on the deck was literally a “deck” grill. As soon as it was moved away from the railing the stand it was on collapsed onto the deck - luckily before it had been heated. The view is lovely although soon one will need to be mindful not to get splinters when leaning on the railing which is starting to warp and separate. We found the kitchen functional for a lake house so were sure to wash anything before using it as many of the items had gotten a lot of good use over the years. The bedrooms in the basement are in a cozy space - each adjacent to the other. We knew each other well so didn’t mind walking through bedrooms to get to the bunk room which were all attached. Checkout was great - there was nothing to do before leaving. So none of the start the dishwasher, take out the garbage, strip the beds, put the towels etc. kind of requirements. In summary, the pictures of the “updated”property are from another time and were not entirely the same as our experience.

Property was fine. Definitely meeting some TLC and we were very upset to find the grill unusable and not what was pictured considering we brought food to grill. Closest restaurants/stores are a 20 min drive so we had to go buy other food. Compared to the first 30 photos in the listing the property is not in that nice of shape. There is a lot of decking but no yard. There is a very rude neighbor and I want to use a lot more colorful language. Seriously would NOT book again or recommend because of this neighbor. It was our first trip as a family of 4 (we have a 3 year old and 7 month old) and not even 5 minutes of pulling in we were “greeted” by this completely rude grown man with his shirt off. He was absolutely freaking out about property lines and is in a lawsuit with the owners. He is crazy. We were exactly where we were supposed to be and had no extra people with us and he approached us like he was the boss and we were going to throw a rager. He has junky no trespassing and no parking signs everywhere that are not shown in photos. You can only have 1 car unless you want to ask the neighbors up the road to use their parking. The other neighbors next to us were amazing and told us that guy has shot at their dogs before. Don’t stay here, that neighbor may ruin your time. He’s called the cops on an 80 year old woman who stepped on his concrete pad to take a photo of the sunset. Feels like this trip was a waste of money which really stinks.

Not what you see

When looking at the property pictures it looks nice, however the pictures are not current a d the property is run down. There were lots of ants, spiders and bugs in general. The outdoor area was sketchy. The neighbor across the street was combative and parking was non existent. The host was not responsive at allI would not recommend this property.

Nice views but issues with neighbor

The property was clean on the surface but inside of cabinets was dirty. There was a Dish component but it didn't work then we had to mess with things to get the smart tv to work. But the tv in the basement bedroom didn't work because it was not a smart tv. As soon as we pulled up and parked where the owner instructed in the front of the house the neighbor came and said we couldn't park their. So instead of the 3 spots we were told were available there was only 1 and the other vehicle had to park down in the cul-de-sac. The neighbor had signs posted everywhere which made the area look junky. There was also a door hanger from an exterminator saying they couldn't find the oder, but everything was ok. The veiws from the back decks were awesome and the living room was comfortable.

The stay was great! The Konza Prairie Hike was beautiful! Love Mankato! Plenty of good restaurants close by. The home was nice, just as advertised. I would say that the only negative was that I wrote a nice “Thank You” note for the owners, which never garnered even the slightest acknowledgment. We listed a couple of small items that needed repair (certainly did not detract from the stay) - no reply. Other than that, a terrific stay! I’d rate the overall experience 4/5.

Perfect for our family

In town for a family wedding. House slept 7 of us comfortably. Really just spent two nights in the house. Pretty location with good views of the lake. Only had one car to park so there was no issues with the neighbors.

Enjoyed the quiet and peaceful setting. Beautiful view of the lake. Great amenities. The host was responsive to any questions or concerns in a timely manner. Highly recommend this place for your stay!

Great place to stay, neighbor is not so neighborly

Place and host were great! I would stay again but….you must know the neighbor is not so great. Parking is not so easy because of neighbor. If you’re able to walk down the hill from a cul-de-sac then you will have no issues. You must follow the rules of parking or else you will get a visit from your friendly neighborhood police officer! Just follow the rules and everything is perfect! Everyone is aware of this neighbor and the rest of the neighbors are willing to help out and work with you on parking! Great host!
