Hale Pama (House of Palms) -mökki sijaitsee Havaijin paratiisipuistossa yhden hehtaarin kiinteistöllä. Omistajan asuinpaikka sijaitsee myös samassa kiinteistössä ja on laillinen loma-asunto. Havaijin ohimenevä majoitus- ja yleinen valmistevero kannetaan sisäänkirjautumisen yhteydessä.

Läheisiin nähtävyyksiin kuuluvat hiljattain luodut mustan hiekkarannan ja valtion puistot, Havaijin tulivuorten kansallispuisto, historiallinen vanha kaupunki Hilo, ravintolat, viljelijämarkkinat, museot ja trooppiset puutarhat.

Adorable cottage near Hilo

Gorgeous guesthouse!

Hale Pama was wonderful homebase for our Big Island trip. The hosts were wonderful and the cottage was super clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed as we recharged for the next day's adventure. We are beyond happy that we found this place!

Lovely stay!

These hosts care deeply about their home and guests. The grounds are beautiful and they shared the fruit growing there.There was everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had everything we wanted from dishes to spices to plastic wrap.Would for sure stay again!!

Lovely little place. Clean and very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we enjoyed listening to the coqui at night. Great location for traveling to Hilo, Volcanoes, and the southern portion of the island.

Paradise wedding

We stayed at this wonderful cottage for two weeks for our daughter’s wedding. The location was just perfect, the property is beautiful and we had everything we needed to be right at home during our extended stay. The Woods’ are great hosts, helpful and informative.

Lovely, quiet, pineapple retreat

Owners were easy to communicate and coordinate with. Quiet neighborhood, lovely landscaping for views and privacy. Pineapples literally growing right outside the window, and they shared cut pineapple and limes, from their property. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great home away from home. The hosts, Charles and Kathy have thought of everything you need. There was plenty of outdoor space for relaxing under the lanai when the rain would fall. We would highly recommend this location to other visitors

Private Oasis

Perfect spot for a couple to relax and enjoy nature. Great BBQ and outdoor table set for evening meals. Beautifully landscaped. Everything you need for easy meals & grilling. Host is on site but the guest cottage is hidden in the lush greenery and very private. We enjoyed some of the fresh fruit grown on the property - nice treat.

Amazing and beautiful

This was the cleanest, most thoughtfully stocked place! The owners go way above and beyond! We felt so comfortable and at home after busy days of exploring. And we were treated to the best pineapple ever from their garden! Extremely gracious hosts. Thank you for such warm hospitality!

A beautiful and perfect house !

The house was very clean, very well equipped and quiet. The terrace with BBC was perfect. For our trips to east and west the place of the house was very good. Charles and Kathy was very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were easy. We recommend this place !

Wonderful stay

The house was just perfect. Very clean, all facilities you can think of were available, even coffee, tea and some food. The host Charles responded to any request within seconds. We enjoyed very much the little terrace and listening to the frog-concert in the evening. The location was perfect for exploring the volcano national park and the east cost of the island. We can only recommend the accommodation - excellent value for money.

Quiet little guest house retreat

The property and accomodations was just perfect for capping off our stay at the big island. Kathy and Charles spent some time with us past check out chatting about various ins and outs of coming to the island and were happy to share their experiences with us. The guest house was well appointed and set apart from the main house, we never felt like we were being a bother coming and going and thanks to the landscaping were always separate enough from views of either domicile from the other that we never felt "too close." There was a plethora of information about the area, from places to eat, things to do and see, and possible safety issues with that side of the island. I would absolutely return to this property.

Garden Oasis

We loved staying at Hale Pama, this guest house is surrounded by gardens and feels very private even though the main house is on the same property. Charles was always helpful with our questions and it was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. We even got to pick a pineapple for breakfast! It was wonderful. The location is convenient and near the highway but you will need a car to get around.

Secluded sanctuary for a relaxing stay

We did enjoy our relaxing stay tremendously. Charles is a great host. He was very helpful and accommodating. He shared advice about the best local beaches, where to go in the Volcanoes National park, and even lent us one of his tripods to take great pictures of the newly started eruption. This is definitely a place to stay and we will recommend it to our friends (in fact, we ourselves got it recommended from our friends who stayed here before :)). Thanks, Charles, and all the best for you and your wife for the future!

very special place clean,private, quiet, perfect, close to everything in puna district

Hosts Charles & Kathy are very warm & inviting, they have a gem of a property and we are happy they chose to share it with us. Could not have picked a better place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the bungalow, it was new, well appointed, so clean, nicely landscaped, a lanai on both sides, Charles' photography beautifully displayed on walls, close to local area, had everything you could need, easy access to hot springs, Volcano NP, black sand beach, red road, Hilo, and so much more. We filled our days easily with waterfall stops, overlook stops, tex drive in for the best malasatas, the saddle road for mona kea & mona loa, farmers market, paniolo country. It was great to come back at the end of our long days to such a relaxing oasis. Thank you Charles & Kathy we truly had a wonderful stay at hale pama.

New, Clean, and Safe Bungalow

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your vacation rental! This property is as described—it is new and very well maintained. The owners are on-site and very helpful. It’s a separate unit—the owners are next door but we felt the bungalow was very private. I would recommend this rental to family and friends. The unit located in Hawaiian Paradise Park is a good location to visit all the attractions that East Hawai’i and Hilo have to offer including: Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, Red Road, Maku’u Farmers Market, Akaka Falls, Waipio Valley, and Hawaii Tropical Botanical Gardens. Lovely Vacation Rental!

Charles and his wife have created a beautiful, extremely clean and private paradise right on their one acre property. I typically shy away from rentals that share space with owners. Based on previous reviews I decided to give it a try and it was fantastic! The casita is located behind their home and given privacy by a large wall of plants. The owners are very respectful and give you plenty of privacy and autonomy. The back porch is fabulous for watching the night sky. This location was nice for visiting Volcano National Park as well as we had access to a variety of restaurants and shops in neighboring towns. Check out Charles photos online. He has several printed as decoration on the walls in the rental that are for sell at reasonable prices. He graciously wrapped one for us to take home and we will enjoy it and the memories we made for years to come. Thank you for a great stay and all of your many attention to details!

House of Palms

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the House of Palms for the entire month of October 2017. We could not have been happier with our decision. Charles and Kathy Wood put a lot of time and effort into creating this tropical paradise. The property is in a residential area but it has the feel of an upscale resort. The cottage, which is brand new, is situated on 1 acre, along with the owner's home, but you have complete privacy. On a clear night it seems like you can reach up and touch the stars. Charles and Kathy respect your space but are there if you need anything. The cottage itself is very comfortable and beautifully decorated and has all the amenities that you could possibly need. Charles is a professional photographer and the walls are decorated with examples of his work. He is a wealth of information about the island and is willing to share it with you if you ask. He also offers other services, like guided tours to the summit of Mauna Kea and to Kilauea in Volcano's National Park. He can also make enlargements of your favorite photos. His prices are very competitive and we took advantage of everything he had to offer. When my wife and I left we felt like we had spent the month with friends. Our experience was everything that we had hoped for. We highly recommend the House of Palms and would give it more than 5 stars if we could.

An interior space of 500 square feet provides comfortable accommodation for three adults. Unlike most construction in Hawaii, Hale Pama is thoroughly insulated for quiet and comfort. A coated concrete floor remains cool year round. Ceiling fans are provided in the bedroom, living area and on each lanai. The main bedroom will be configured as two twin beds or one king bed to meet your preference before your arrival. A Serta sofa bed is provided for a third guest.

Your host, Charles Wood, is an accomplished landscape, nature and travel photographer. Charles can provide photographic tours of the Big Island along with photographic instruction to raise your photography skills to a higher level. Or, if you're an experienced photographer, he can take you to stunning shooting locations off the beaten path. Onsite fine art photographic printing is available. You can take home professionally printed images of your stay in Hawaii. DURING COVID PANDEMIC GUESTS MUST ACCOMPANY PHOTO TOUR IN THEIR OWN VEHICLE.
