Annual family trip to the KEYS

We had some things that needed to be rearranged with our original reservation. Pam was gracious and helped us with that.The location is beautiful. The sunsets are gorgeous in the wildlife you’ll see in the back. Could keep could keep people busy the entire time they are there. Great pool and great pool supplies.

Vacation 2024

Was a great week with beautiful weather, caught and saw plenty of fish off of the dock. Rented a boat for the day and docked it at the property while we refreshed and headed back out to amazing views.

Amazing!

We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was perfect, well equipped, the layout was great for two couples and offered privacy while providing places to socialize. The view is absolutely stunning! Very private and quiet, the pool and hot tub were fabulous. I can’t say enough about how much we loved this property! It’s located sort of in the middle of the islands which makes day trips easy. PLENTY of good places to take in local food, drinks, and views! We can’t wait to visit again!

A Slice of Paradise in the Keys!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this home on the gulf coast! We went kayaking multiple times. There’s a nice launch ramp on the property for the kayaks, and it’s an easy paddle to the mangroves and Rachel Key, which is full of all kinds of birds. The kitchen has many dishes, pots, pans, and appliances and can easily handle an entire family. We also took the bikes over to Seven Mile bridge and out to eat a few times. But most of all, we enjoyed hanging out by the pool and relaxing in all the little spots throughout the property. We had dinner at the table outside every evening and then headed onto the pier to watch the sunset, which was amazing!! This home was like having our own private resort in the Keys, and we’re already planning our next return trip. Thanks for a fantastic vacation!

Lovely Rental - Splendid Location

Hurricane Michael halted a year’s wait for us to return to our favorite vacation home, however that misfortune led us to Vista Linda & we couldn’t be more pleased about how things turned out. We had some reservations about not being on the beach, but it didn’t take long for us to appreciate all that this Keys oasis has to offer. It exceeded our expectations & then some. The fascinating & abundant marine life, exciting fishing, fish cleaning station & fully stocked kitchen to prepare those great catches, the overflow spa and heated saltwater pool were Wonderful, kayaking, snorkeling, the fabulous tropical vegetation offering beauty, privacy & habitat for the entertaining iguanas & lizards & we really enjoyed the fish light under the dock in the evenings. The list could easily go on. Sincere thanks Pam for all your attention to detail and for sharing your slice of paradise with us, we would love to return!

Tropical Paradise

My wife and I just returned from a two week vacation at Vista Linda. It's a fantastic vacation home. The pictures do not capture the beauty of the landscaping and living area. The living area is spacious for a two bedroom home and the kitchen is fully equipped for those that enjoy cooking. The dock is a fantastic place to relax or fish. We caught yellowtail and a grouper. During our stay we saw turtles, dolphins, nurse shark, lobster, barracuda and many colorful parrot fish. There are different areas in the tropically landscaped back yard to relax in total privacy. The hammock between the trees was my favorite. One of the best features is you can watch a gorgeous sunset while floating in the pool. The only negative I can think of is that we enjoyed the grounds and pool so much that we didn't do half the activities we had planned. We are definitely planning to return. Favorite spot in the keys.

Absolutely the best of the Keys, right here!

First of all, I must say that the owner, Pam, is the most WONDERFUL and responsive host! She immediately answered every message I sent, from prior to booking, through checkout. Everything was BETTER than expected. The home is simply beautiful, inside and out. We loved the split bedroom plan of the house...the view from the master bedroom is just wonderful...we didn't close the drapes the entire week we were there! The boat dock is perfect. We rented a boat for the week and it was so nice to be able to just walk onto it, every day, for a fishing or snorkeling expedition. The pool and spa were wonderful and we enjoyed using them each day. The owners have thought of EVERYTHING you might possibly need...the sheets are FABULOUS...the towels are HUGE and THICK..there was even calamine lotion for some bug bites my husband got. :) I just cannot say enough about how much we loved this home. Our week there was, without a doubt, our best vacation EVER! Thank you, Pam!

SPECTACULAR

I stayed here with my husband, our two teenage boys, and my parents. We absolutely loved it. We fished every day and night right off the dock and even had a couple meals from the fish we caught. We had dolphins swim in front of the house, manatees swim right under our dock, sharks ranging from 8 feet to 3 feet in length, along with crab, sting rays, lobsters, and several different fish to name some. The outdoor area is like an oasis with the palm trees and landscaping that creates great privacy. The pool, hot tub, and hammock were all used every day and very nice. We loved sitting outside by the water with our coffee in the morning and with a refreshment in he evening. You really don't need to go anywhere to enjoy this place. We kayaked a couple times and were glad we had them available for our use. The shed had some extra fishing gear that we were thankful to use as well. We took a couple day trips in other parts of the keys and this was a great centrally located area. Marathon itself has everything you need and some very good fresh fish markets and restaurants. Thank you for everything!

Lovely property in a beautiful location. The house is comfortable with plenty of room to enjoy a vacation. The kitchen was very nicely stocked with everything you would need to cook your meals at the house. Check in was flawless and owner was available via text when we needed to speak with them. Overall, a great VRBO and will definitely book again.

Island vibes

We just had a week here and absolutely loved every minute. The private pool, access to the dock to fish. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, stingray and a manatee!! Absolutely stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. Can't wait to plan another trip!

Outdoor Oasis

The property is perfectly located to enjoy unobstructed views of the Gulf all day long. The pier offers up close views of fish, rays and manatees. Evening stargazing is awe inspiring. The kitchen is well stocked for those that cook. We were able to enjoy the pool and kayaks. The outdoor area is such that you can always find sun or shade, depending on your mood. This is the second year we’ve been here and plan to come back next year.

Great stay

Wonderful stay! This place is very roomy and the back area is beautiful. Lots of greenery. There is shade and sun on many parts of the yard. We especially enjoyed the bikes! PRIVATE! We hope to go back next year.

Beautiful property

We have stayed at this property three times. We love the house, dock and pool! The house is well stocked and wonderfully decorated. It has always been meticulously cleaned. We have appreciation for the care taken with small details that make our trip all the more enjoyable. My only concern was that the pool heater wasn’t working when we arrived. There was a quick response and repair but we could only use the pool for half of our stay. Hoping to return.

Always great

Our 2nd stay at this home. Fantastic location, well laid out, comfortable and clean. Amazing exterior amenities and view. The only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because there were repeated problems with the pool heater making the water too cold to enjoy it. That said the management and owner did have the pool company out to service but they were unable to resolve the problem completely during our stay.

Perfect Week in Marathon

The house was perfect and it is clear the owner has great attention to detail. Everything is there, and is of high quality. Can’t emphasize how nice it is to have every amenity and to feel like the owner is sharing their home with you, and not just like being at a rental with “rental grade” features. We really enjoyed sitting on the dock and watching the sunsets and were greeted with a parade of LEOS satellites. So cool to see more than 25 satellites in 10 min. Pool and accommodations were great and the kitchen was really well fitted out. Lovely piece of paradise and we will return!

Outside Oasis

The house is updated on the inside with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable eating area and living room. The outside space makes the house. The pool and hot tub are perfect and depending where you want to sit, in the sun, or away, there’s a place for you. The kayaks are super easy to take out and you can head to the mangroves to see fish and birds. They also have bikes along with helmets. We had a minor problem with the whirlpool, called the pool maintenance number we were given and someone was there within 30 minutes. There’s 2 benches at the end of the pier to watch the beautiful sunsets. Warning, bring bug spray, the no-seeums love northerners.

We first came down to Marathon in 2017 and fell in love with the KEYS instantaneously. It is relaxing, serene and beautiful. We especially enjoy coming down with our kids to regroup as a family; spend time fishing, swimming, going out to eat and just relaxing together. We bought this house in 2019 from my brother and wife who owned and ran Vista Linda since 2011.
