Clean cabin with a well stocked kitchen. Easy check-in. We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch or on the beach and in the water. Fantastic swimming spot. The west facing view is tremendous.

Wonderful Lakeside Cabin

We had such an amazing time staying at Greenview! The cozy house was a perfect size for our family and kitchen well equipped for our needs. We enjoyed the lake every day and made good use of the kayaks and canoes. Easy drive to Ellsworth stores and Acadia for day hikes. So quiet and peaceful right on a beautiful lake! The hosts were very responsive to all of our questions. Highly recommend staying here.

This is a special spot indeed! The cabin was very clean and comfortable and the sparkling lake was super quiet. We enjoyed our stay and Alison was of great assistance. We can't wait to go back!

Perfect Lake Home

We loved the location, the privacy, the beach and especially the communication with the owners. A neighbor's dogs wandered over and Alison was right on it. I contacted her for restaurant locations, hiking trails and even where to see the best view of the Blue Moon. She responded immediately. Excellent.

Paradise

There is nothing to say about this property other than book it! We had our 2 dogs with us and being the last property on a dead end dirt road was ideal for privacy and safety. The lake was amazing! The beach is a mix of sand and small pebbles and water shoes kept my feet comfy. I spent hours sitting in an Adirondack chair reading or floating in the cove soaking up the sun. The water was the perfect temperature! My favorite thing was screen porch at night. What a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy the evening air with no bugs! We already have plans to go back next summer.

late october getaway with the pups

We had a great time and so did our 2 pups. We loved exploring the rocks on the water, and taking the kayak/canoe out on the lake. The lake is huge and super clear. Since it was late October no one else was really around, which was nice for us and the pups. In warmer weather, I'm sure the closed in porch is lovely. It was too chilly for us to sit out there. But we still got a nice view of the lake from inside the cabin. It is very cozy! So if you're looking for a roomy place, this isn't it. It worked perfectly for us - 2 adults and 2 dogs. But even though there are 2 bedrooms, it would have been a tight fit if there was another couple. Although in the summer, this probably isn't an issue because you'll be outside more. We also took a few day trips to Acadia National park which was about a 45-60 minute drive from the cabin. We also explored the trails at the fishery which is in walking distance from the cabin.

Idyllic

This was our second stay at Greeview. The location could not be more ideal! The dead end dirt road means privacy in abundance and with only steps to the lake, you’ll never want to leave! There are plenty of restaurants in Ellsworth if you feel like venturing out and Bar Harbor is a short scenic drive away. This is a highly recommended spot!!

Off the grid recharging station. So peaceful

Greenview

Beautiful place right on the lake. Perfect size for my husband and I and our dog. Clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Secluded enough for quiet and relaxation and just a quick drive to town for groceries and shopping. We enjoyed relaxing, reading, and playing cards on the screened in porch. We hiked the trails nearby and the carriage roads in Acadia, spent a few days sight seeing, and was even able to do a little kayaking before we left as the weather got warmer toward the end of the week. Amazing sunset views and hearing the loons each night made our stay even more memorable. Wonderful vacation overall- thank you for sharing Greenview with us. A.

Great Retreat

We loved staying at Greenview, it was a lovely cabin on a beautiful lake tucked into a beautiful forest. Great carriage like roads that allowed us to walk through the woods with stunning views of the lake. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The hosts were friendly and easily reachable to answer any questions. It was close enough for us to drive to the amazing National Park, Acadia, each day for some fun hiking and walking. After a day outside enjoying Acadia, we returned to a quiet evening at Greenview.

A Little Slice Of Lake Life....

Our family of four (fur babies included) loved our stay. Hearing the loons everyday was amazing! And being literally steps from the beach was beyond convenient with little ones. The house was super clean and comfortable, and we never needed A/C with the windows open. The location was amazing as we were minutes to downtown Ellsworth, and less than an hour to Acadia National Park. Would very much come back.

Slice of Heaven!

Our stay on Green Lake was just lovely! The cottage was exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway and the lake access, views, and sunsets were unbeatable!! The accommodations were perfect, the location was super private, the lake was gorgeous, and the hosts were informative and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property! :)

our July stay

We had a great vacation at Greenview. The location was great, the lake was beautiful and clean, perfect to swim in. We loved the fire pit, but definitely bring lots of bug spray! Cabin was cozy, we enjoyed the screened porch and table for us all to gather. The mattresses were comfortable. There definitely was a lot of moisture in the cabin, causing some discomfort but there is a dehumidifier in the hall that helps. Overall we had a great stay, the views were stunning, it was a great way to enjoy Maine.

Idyllic setting

Absolutely wonderful place to stay to unwind and relax. Beautiful lake views. Seating around the fire pit and down at the lake added to the comfort. Access to kayaks to explore the lake
 nice touch. Loved listening to the loons! Sunsets amazing!! Easy access to bar harbor!! Would definitely return!!!

Solid Stay!

The place was very clean and as advertised. Gorgeous views of the lake, firepit, boats and kayaks set up for enjoyment. We went during off-season so didn't utilize all the great outdoors amenities. Thought it was a bit odd to not have any linens whatsoever in this day and age with a laundromat a 10 minute drive away... Keep that in mind before you book.

Allison and Joseph live with our two springer spaniels, Ben and Herbie. We married in 2004 in Rhode Island. We both still work full time and love to travel, especially with our pups to Maine.

We love the town of Ellsworth for its beauty, and quiet charm. It remains a tourism centered area without the busy traffic, and crowds of Bar Harbor. We started off renting seasonally here and finally found the property we were looking for. As soon as we saw the waterfront view and our first sunset we knew Green view was for us. We still have trouble figuring out why anyone would want to rent anywhere but Green Lake.

MikÀ tekee tÀstÀ majoituspaikasta ainutlaatuisen

Green View has the most perfect 100 foot cresent shaped sandy beach. The waterfront is a sandy, clear, with gradual entry. The water is so clear it feels as if you are looking at an aquarium at the fish and wildlife below you. We feel we have one of the best lots on the lake!
